My Top 5 TV Storylines That Reflect Pro Wrestling.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

When you dig beneath the annals of time, Pro Wrestling has always taken inspiration from other form of media, like Music, and cinema, but TV has always been ahead of the curb, when it comes to mirroring things that have, ande would happen in the world of Pro Wrestling. Whilst I was compiling this list. I sat back and had to watch a load of old episodes of some of the most respected shows, that TV has ever seen. From Problematic Couples. bullying, and aspects of coersive control, these shows do have parralells with Pro Wrestling storylines, even if you don't see them on first viewing.

5 Spencer And Heidi The Hills/ Chyna And Eddie Guererro. Edge And Vicky Guererro.

If you take your minds back to the year 2000, your TV would act as an infested state when it came to relationships. There was the Dawson/Joey/Pacey love triangle, and Buffy was getting over Angel as season 4 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer saw Riley enter the scene, however if you watched the WWE at this point then youn had love story's to enjoy, through the eyes of cringe. HHH and Stephanie Mcmahon, were showing that affairs can start from anything, and Eddie Guererro and Chyna were becoming loves next dream. Both of these relationships happened at the same time. Both HHH and Guererro showed that Jealousy is an ugly form of illness. Six years later MTV would premiere The Hills, a reality show that was spawned from a hit teen reality show Laguna Beach, which for at least two seasons became a major hit. The Hills was considered quite Controversial at the time, due to it's need to highlight how complex adult relationships can be. The show was accused of creating coersive behaviour. I do think when looking back at the relationship of Heidi and Spencer you can see how these storylines can be seen as the same, on one hand you have Spencer, a self owned man who doesn't work, whilst on the other his partner brought home the money. This would cause tension and jealousy, and. this was the reason why Eddie Guererro and Chyna, would end there relationship, as HHH would get physical with Stephanie in september of 2000.

4. The Elite Bullying.

If you look at the dynamic of Kenny Omega, and. Hangman Adam Page, from 2020/2021, you can pick a TV Villain and liken them to The Elite. At this point Kenny was the self made succession man, but when you look at the heinous acts of The Elite. However bullying in Pro Wrestling has always taken shape from TV. When you look back at the eighties The A Team was the show that catered to the youth, and showed kids the meaning of right, and wrong. This would change as the times changed. 2021 AEW took influence from Squid Game, as the final stages of the rivalry played out. This never made it air. But the intention was clear.

3. Mr Burns/ Vince Mcmahon.

In the 1990's the days of the minacle boss, weren't just becoming a thing in your everyday life, you could watch storylines that reflect your own life when you come home. This is the exact way to look at the rise of The Simpsons main Villain Mr C Montgomery Burns, and. the WWE's main Villain Mr Mcmahon. These were the times that we were living in. The 1990's were a testing ground for what shows could get away on TV, and this was proven when both of these men did bad things, on one hand, one tried to block out the sun, whilst on the other, a man become Satan himself, in the form of a higher power, who got off on the suffering of others. The parables for these two came up at the same time.

2. The Days Of Attitude.

1996-1999 were seen as trying times for both the WWE, and. WCW, this would lead to a form of inivation, on one hand you had the WWE led by it's form of colourful characters, that wouldn't look out of place in a comic book, whilst on the other hand you had WCW, a company that had turned into renegades since the debut of The NWO. As the years went on, you could tell that a form of copying was going on, especially as 1999 rolled into it's last few months, and Vince Russo took the creative reign in Atlanta. A Hardcore title came in, and over sexualisation became the norm. This would be the main form of controversy in the late nineties.

1. The Bloodline/ Sons Of Anarchy.

Drama has always been the main point for imitaion, from SNL doing a Dawsons Creek segment, to The Simpsons mocking The O C. In 2020 the world was introduced to the vision of Roman Reigns as a heel, this would have it flaws, even though his Matches were well booked. In  July of 2022 Vince Mcmahon was forced to retire, under mounting pressure from his own board of directors, after it was alledged that he was using Company funds to disguise hush money payouts. He would eventually do just this thing, and his son in law took over the creative direction of the company. This would take shape within the coming weeks and months. Under the old regime. The Bloodline was seen as a clear route for success, as Romans grooming of his own family became must view TV. This is how I viewed Sons Of Anarchy, a show about a outlaw motorcycle club, the show would centre around the themes of warped love, and, respect, told through the eyes of it's VP Jax Teller. If I was a casting agent, you could easily cast Sami Zayn in the Jax roll, whilst. Roman would Clay Morrow, a man that took pleasure in the trying to hold on to his family at any cost. Both shows would repressent forms of gangland violence, and betrayal. This is what made The Bloodline, and. Sons Of Anarchy unmissable TV, when they were airing.

Overview Of This Piece.

I found writing this piece to be quite enlightening. I found myself going down quite a nasty rabbit thanks to google, and having many subscriptions to many TV streaming services. But when I hit a brick wall, I kept thinking what this must've meant to fans of these shows in there own lifes, because from being a by stander you feel involved in the reality of fiction, as a way of escaping your day to day mondainity. And if this teaches you something about yourself that you don't like, then surely it's all been worth it, because you've seeked help, and bettered yourself in the long run.

 AEW Dynamite Review 26.2.2026.

Babes Of Wrath And Megabad Segment.

The Babes Of Wrath, and. Megabad explained how they're going to batter each other later on.

Jon Moxley vs El Clon Continental Championship Eliminator.

This did nothing for me. Yes the in ring was solid, and the story of running out time limits draws surrounding Moxley is solid, but in reality i'm done with The Deathriders vs TDCWO storyline. Mox got the win, and if i'm being honest I don't care.

Heel Prince Nana.

Prince Nana is a heel, and i'm here for it, he brought out Swerve Strickland, who stood on the announcers table, and laid waste to the entire main event scene. I loved this. No notes perfect.

Orange Cassidy vs Gabe Kidd.

I liked this, as the way of how early Matches on cards play out, this was a day and night case, when you look at what came before it. Both men got the need to put forward a sudden sense of urgentcy. This allowed for the story, and physicality of the Match to play out. Gabe got the win, and in the aftermath he and Clark Connors were attacked by Darby Allin, and. Orange Cassidy. This says Tag Team Direction as Revolution moves ever closer.

Lets Go Thunder Rosa.

Thunder Rosa is back, and she's coming after Thekla. It's no secret that I love watching Thunder work, so it's time to put up, and shut up, and go and win that AEW Womens Championship. This pissed off Kris Statlander.

Kevin Knight vs Mansoor.

Kevin Knight beat Mansoor in an unplanned Match, and then called out Hangman Adam Page in the aftermath. This would've been better placed on Collision.

MJF And Hamgman Adam Page Face To Face.

I loved this. Max once again owned the fans, as they hung on his every word. Hangman fired back, as Max's side of the Promo focussed on Reverse Psychology, and this was a fascinating sight. Hangman fired back, by using the same tactikc from last weeks awesome segment. He played into Max's hands, as Max said that on oneside of the coin would be a Long NO DQ Match, currated by Max, in which  he can do what he wants, and if Hangman even looks at a weapon, he would be disqualified. So the coin got tossed, and Max got his own way, or so he thought. Hangman questioned this, and when Max went to leave, he was stopped by Jetspeed, and Brodido. Tony Khan then told Tony Schiavone that at Revolution Max will face Hangman for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship in a Texas Deathmatch. I still think that the Texas Death Match stipulation has been over used in AEW, but this could steel the show on the 15th of March.

THe Brawling Birds Segment.

Ok guys. It's official. The Brawling Birds don't give a f***. no wait that's a flying f***. Patrick go and wash your mouth out with a pint of Sol.

Megabad vs The Babes Of Wrath AEW Womens Championship Match.

This ended abruptly after Penelope Ford suffered a real injury by all reports. Lena Cross got the Match thrown out. This was a real shame.

Mark Davis vs Brody King.

There's nothing more in this world that I love more than two big boys, doing big beefy things. I loved this horse fight. It resembled the finest form of meat slapping. Brody got the win, and called out Swerve Strickland for a Match at Revolution. And just like that Bandido came out, and said i'll have some of that action. So step forward Andrade El Idolo. Both of these Matches sound very enticing.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika as a Tag Team ? Oh well stranger things have happened.

Mile High Madness.

The team of Jack Perry. The Rascalz, and. Young Bucks, beat FTR, and. The Demand. From the insane table, and chair spots. Lucha Stokeley taking out Nick Jackson on the stairs, to the outright pouring of chaos that echoed from the start, all the way to it's finish. This was one hell of a party Match to end the show.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

I have a question for you guys, was this a blow away storm of a show, well no, but did I have fun watching it, at 7.30am in the morning before I went to my day job, yes. This show worked as a look at what could becoming in the future. And by God i'm here for it.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 7/10.

My Top 5 Times Pro Wrestling Made Me A Better Person.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

I have a question for you guys. Do TV shows, or other forms of media change the type of people that we end up being? I've been a fan of Pro Wrestling for over thirty years, and i'm starting to ask this question. I'm a 38 year old man, who still asks questions about the world, the sameway that I did when I was 15. I think this could be down to the fact as a child, and throughout my life, i've faced challenges and issues surrounding having learning issues, but when you get a challenge in life you can either face it head on, or let it own you.

5. The Humour Of The Attitude Era.

I understand that this sentence might sound questionable given what we know about how this, and what occured during this time period, but given the fact that I was only 11 when I started to get some of the jokes that were unfolding on WWE TV. I started secondary school at this point, so it was important that I learnt how to make people laugh. Step forward DX, and. The Rock. D Generation X, knew how to make me laugh, and offend my mum, and this taught me that humour is an important vice for anyone, not just myself. Dwayne The Rock Johnson is a relic to himself, he could make you smile, and laugh, with the flick of his famous eyebrow, to his ability to verbally batter his opponent on the mic. I as an impressionable 11 turning 12 year old, got loads out of how he delivered his words. This was I learnt to speak my mind through humour.

4. The Rise Of AEW.

If you take your mind back to early 2018, the conception of another Pro Wrestling Company trying to vye for the no1 spot on a global level, was seen as laughable, but that's what we got when a small group of Individuals put forward an idea to currate an indy show to held in an arena, those individuals are known as Cody Rhodes. Kenny Omega, and. The Young Bucks, and the show was called All In. Nine months later it was confirmed that AEW would be launching with there first PPV to held in May of 2019. This PPV would be called Double Or Nothing. This event along with it's indy roots, would go on to change the way that the industry would be looked at. What I learnt from this was to accept all forms of change, because life changes, and sometimes if you don't go along with the times, then you might get left behind.

3. Be A Star.

This is a backwards look at how not to act. Back in 2011 the WWE introduced this inititive on weekly TV, as a series of ads aimed at showing Children how to learn to respect each other. I hated this from the moment I saw them. I get the aim behind it, but it undoes it self when you have John Cena call Eve Tores a sexual slur. This is just one moment, from a series of bad moments. I learnt that if you act like a hypocrite, then you deserve what you get. As a 24 year old man at the time, I was still learning how to navigate adult life, so I see something like this, and instantly i'm reminded of how it's important to treat people with respect as an adult, because this is the way that the world works.

2. It's Always Important To Remember Those That We've Lost.

The next part of this piece is one of the most tricky things that i've had put to print. Death is going to become all of us at some point in our lives, and when it happens in Pro Wrestling, the world becomes a lot more cruel. Case and points. 1 on the 26th of December 2020 the world was saddened to hear the news of the passing of John Huber aka. Brody lee/ Luke Harper. This took me back, and reminded me that life is far too short, this is an important life lesson for anyone to hold close to your heart. Just under three years later the world was saddened again to hear of the passing of windham Rotunda, aka. Bray wyatt. That same life lesson was taught again when I heard this news. Just a few days later, after the news broke. I attended AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, and amongst all of the tributes, what really stood out to me was, as I entered the Stadium all I could hear was Bray's entrance music playing out over the pa system. The lesson that I took away from this, was to hold your friends and family close.

1. Staples Are Friendship Groups.

From a young age I have always wanted to find a sense of belonging, and as a 38 year old adult i'm still looking for this connection. This could be said about Pro Wrestling Stables. The art of creating a good faction can't be rushed, it has to be nurtured over time. A great example is D Generation X, on screen they looked a couple of boys having fun, this was because Shawn Michaels, and. HHH had a real life friendship that had been developed over time, travelling on the road together. I see this a lot in the modern day Pro Wrestling scene, case and point The Elite. This group came together over time, as AEW started to shift it's gears, and grind them into fans brains. This to me is how you make relationships, and it's an important part of life, that no one should ignore.

Overview Of This Piece.

I feel that this piece was important for me to write. Because you can learn a lot about yourself when you take a look at the past. I learnt loads about the world at a young age watching Pro Wrestling, from the very moment that my brother kicked me out of my family's front room, so he could watch WCW worldwide, this sparked off a lifelong passion, that has lasted for over thirty years. This is were I see my life going, and lets just put it this way. If you're a Pro Wrestling fan, then life is never dull. You can have that little bit of advice for free.

 Monday Night Raw Review.  24.2.2026

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

This has been an interesting time for me. I've had to cut down my workload in writing these pages, due to my day job, and that's going to continue into this week. This Sunday i'm going to be doing a stock take, which is important for my day job, so my Elimination Chamber review will be coming late Monday evening, and not on a Sunday. You Guys know that I hate having to push things back, but if there's an imprtant reason behind then that has to come first. Helping my team out falls under this, and if you're wondering what I have thought about recent events in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, believe you me, those thoughts are coming, so watch this space.

Gunther Is Simply The Best.

The show opened up with Corey Graves, and. Michael Cole standing in the ring, getting ready to celebrate AJ Styles Appreciation night, that was until the Career Killer Gunther came out. He took pleasure in taking credit for ending the careers of Styles, and. Bill Goldberg, who both come from the state that Monday Night Raw was being beamed live from. He Kicked Corey Graves, and. Michael Cole out of the ring, as the Austrian bathed in the fans hate. Adam Pearce then came out followed by Security, this when he decided to make fun of the fans. Dragon Lee then took offence to this, and both men had a brawl that went into the back area. This was incredibly well shot, as Cody Rhodes came into shot. I loved this, as it set the template for the night ahead.

Cody Rhodes Segment And Jey Uso vs Bronson Reed vs The Original El Grande Americano.

All of this was a mess. Cody came out, and before he could say the name AJ Styles, he was interrupted by The Vision. I hated this. Having two promo segments go back to back, can be quite jarring, and this fell into that realm. Austin Theory, and. Logan Paul, both came across like catty school children, and it was pathetic. Cody brought out The Usos, and just like that we got the Yeetathon we should've had last week. This Match was all over the place. The pacing felt a bit off, and then it happened. As Bronson was going in to break up a near fall, he rolled onto his shoulder, he rolled onto the floor, and was seen by Doctors. It was later confirmed that he was legitimately injured, and will be out for a lengthy time, this meant that the outcome was called on the fly. Jey got the win, and this didn't hide the stench of confusion, as the Match played out live.

Cm Punk Shows Up To Work.

If you're going to show up in style to you're day job, then this is how you do it, you get a champion Nascar Driver to drop you off like he's an Uber driver.

Liv Morgan Segment.

I liked this. Dominik Mysterio introduced Both of Liv's potential opponents, and just like that it was on. Liv apologised to Stephanie Vaquer, because was slightly priviledged. And just like that her WrestleMania opponent was sealed with one punch. Liv Smacked Stephanie as Jade Cargill just stood there looking like an odd piece of furniture.

Jevon Evans Meets Offset And The New Day.

Now this sounds intriguing. Jevon Evans vs Kofi Kingston. Offset was the first of Many Rappers to show on this broadcast. Oh hello That So 2Chains, and has anyone seen Lil Bow Wow recently, oh wait there he is sitting at ringside all grown up.

Maxxine Dupri vs Nattie.

The Match was thrown out after Maxxine was pushed into the ring post. I have a question for you guys, has He Who Shall Not Be Named taken charge of the booking again, because my god this was bad. I'm going to bury this, because this deserves to be put in a vault and never seen again. How did this get greenlit. I hated this with every fibre of my being.

The Judgement Day Are A Family.

Whenever I see these type of segments on WWE TV the only thing that goes through my mind is the song that Kirk Vanhouten sang on The Simpsons, as he tried to get his wife back. This one was no differant, because The Judgement Day are a family divided.

Trick Williams Is In Atlanta.

Trick Williams has brought his Lemon Pepper Steppers all the way to Atlanta, just to try the Chicken Wings. I don't blame you my guy, because Patrick loves Wings as well.

Rusev Is Here.

Hey look everyone Rusev is here. ( for some reason ) Right that's it move over Rusev, because Oba Femi is here. I have a guess for what's in that crate. A lifetimes supply of Sour Patch Kids. That's going a sweat treat for the state of Chicago this Saturday.

Brock Lesnar Segment.

I felt sick watching this. On Sunday evening, I sat down and watched Janelle Grants speech from the Colarado Conference, in which she spoke about how the whole idea of NDA's are cruel, and a form of bullying. This segment just reminded me of the fact that this industry can be very ugly. And what made this worse  was the fact that in the Aftermath of this. WWE aired a vingnette for Becky Lynch. A few months ago Becky spoke about things that happened to her when she got called up to the main roster in 2015. Now i'm not trying to cast any aspertions. I felt like this was a strange thing to air after a segment that featured someone who was mentioned 49 times in a sex trafficking lawsuit. I don't care who Brock faces at Mania. I have no interest in watching him in 2026 for obvious reasons.

Jevon Edwards vs Kofi Kingston.

I liked this. The action felt fresh, and this was important, because this show so far has been a confusing mix-bag. Jevon got the win, thanks to his new mate Offset.

Cm Punk Segment.

And just like that we snapped back to reality. You guys know that I love Cm Punk, but this segment, felt more like a paint by the numbers Babyface promo. This was a step backwards, and a real shame as we head into Elimination Chamber this weekend.

Iyo Sky vs Kairi Sane vs Raquel Rodriguez Womens Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I liked this. As the Match went on, and the final stages became a bit more clear, you could feel the sense of urgentcy from all three ladies. And this was something that was missing from  some of the Matches on this broadcast. Raquel got the win, and is now in the Womens Chamber Match this weekend.

AJ Styles Says Goodbye To The Fans.

This was a segment that was filled with palpable emotion. You could see it written all over AJ's face as he spoke to the fans, about his time in the industry, and the places were he has been. He thanked the fans, and his family who were at ringside. As the end credits came up, the lights went out, and just like that outcame The Undertaker who rode out on his motorcycle, and spoke to AJ as the look of shook came across AJ's face. Taker said that they've got unfinished business, and he told him that he's an inductee into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2026. This was a genuinely touching moment, and the sight AJ crying with his family is something that I won't forget in a hurry. I was going to talk about my favourite AJ Styles moments, but I decided to do this another time. I might schedule it for Mania week.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

This weeks Monday Night Raw has been met with criticism online, and I get it, because this was a confusing mix-bag. I liked Kofi vs Jevon. The opening Segment. Iyo. Raquel, and Kairi Sane had a fun outing, and. Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer at Mania sounds like a fun Match, but the rest just felt like an uneven waste of time. WWE is on the road to WrestleMania, and this show simply wasn't good enough.

This Weeks Monday Night Raw by the road to WrestleMania standards is a mid 5/10.

 AEW Dynamite Review.

Opening.

Mina Shirakowa. Willow Nightingale. Megan Bayne. Swerve Strickland, and. Kenny Omega, all gave there thoughts on their Matches tonight.

Orange Cassidy's New Partner.

Orange Cassidy has a new Partner in crime, and his name is Tomohiro Ishii. They would beat Clark Connors, and. Gabe Kidd later on in the show. Due to work in my day job, i'm going to have to marry some sections together, this will only be for one week. Hello Darby Allin. This Match suffered from Technical issues with the Triller TV feed. This didn't sour my enjoyment.

Jon Moxley vs Mark Davis Continental Championship Eliminator.

I don't have a lot to say about this Match, because it was simply put, a lofi slugfest, that saw Jon Get the win. This had minor drama filled nearfalls that helped aid the Match to it's finish line. Jon would the later on Challenge Konosuke to a no time limit Match at Revolution for the Continental Championship. Don Callis, and his family then approved this on behalf of Konosuke who's still in Australia in Keyfabe. This was of course under the orders of the Andrade Blinders.

Hangman Adam Page After GrandSlam.

Did I hear this right. Hangman is going to takeaway Max's rights to have kids one day. ( more on this later )

FTR Segment.

FTR came out and called out The Young Bucks. I'm not a big fan of this, because it just feels like the Tag Division is going backwards. I get that Tony wants to finish this rivalry off, but these guys have met 5 times before. There best was in 2022 in the main event of a Dynamite in April of that year, the fourth time was at AEW Dynasty 2024, and nine months before I attended All In 2023, and there 3rd encounter came under the guidelines of needing more time. Were getting the 5th installment at Revolution. The Match will bang. I just think that we need to move on at this point.

Brody King Segment.

Brody King will be back next week, and he will be back in the hunt for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. The Ice Chants again were loud and clear, and I praise Warner Bros Discovery, and. AEW for not editing them out. It's important for fans to raise there voices and be heard.

Womens TBS Championship 4 Way.

Willow Nightingale, retained her championship, by beating. Marina Shafir. Megan Bayne, and. Mina Shirakowa. This was very good, and when you hold the Matches within the Match in your hands, you could get the sense where things were going to go. Mina was the hidden gem in this Match, as all four ladies got the movesets in.

RIP Kirwin Summers.

Tony Schiavone then told us that legendary producer Kirwin Summers has passed away. Bryan Danielson wore his emotion all over his face. Squaredcirclemma.com would like to send out my best thoughts to his loved ones at this awful time.

Hangman Adam Page And MJF Face To Face.

I loved this segment. It felt like a blistering assault to the senses. Max was on fire last night, as he laid bare the reasons why Hangman Has failed to maintain Championship reigns. 1st he crumbles under pressure. 2nd. He puts his friends first. 3rd he's a fraud. Hangman fired this back at Max, because this is also a reflection of Max. Then came the gut punch, if Hangman Loses then he can never challenge for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship again. I love this development, and the idea of giving the fans the option to choose the stipulation, only to have it taken away, is the idea of devine booking. Hangman Challenged Max to a Texas Death Match. I've got my issues with this stipulation. I get the feeling that it's becoming slightly overused. But given the fact that Mox, and. Takeshita are going to working a No Time Limit Match, timing would be of the essence, so an Ironman Match is out of the question.

Hook Is The Boss.

Just like a Pub. The Opps are now under new management. Hook. Hmm, what I make of this? I'm not sure. I had suffered a Powercut after writing this segment. So Hook Causes Power failure in my local area.

The Brawling Birds Debut.

The Brawling Birds debuted by beating two local Jobbers. I have a new theme for The Brawling Birds. ( Insert bad cockney accent here ) Were The Brawling Birds Hoo roo. Were The Brawling Birds oi yoy. Were The Brawling Birds and were going to slap the taste out of your mouth. Up the apples and pears. Oy yoy.

Thunder Rosa Is Back.

I'm loving the fact that Thunder Rosa has been medically cleared. Her vs Kris Statlander at a later date, oh go on then AEW if you must.

Kevin Knight vs The Beast Mortas.

Kevin Knight beat The Beast Mortas in a Match that would be better suited to Collision.

Kenny Omega vs Swerve Strickland.

This was a worthy main event, that was encapulated with breathtaking action, and heart melting near falls. I loved this Match, they thought in the fans, and Aubrey Edwards took a nasty ref bump thanks to Kenny, this would play into both mens chemistry, as the final stages of the Match sent the show home. Swerve got the win after he hit an awesome looking House call Kick to kenny who was in mid air as it was landing, this led to a Blue Thunder Bomb for the finish. Swerve then turned heel in the aftermath, by violently putting Kenny through the announcers table. This is the direction for Kenny at Revolution. I don't think that Kenny is being written off TV, because needs a second round.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This was a jam packed episode of weekly TV that delivered as the direction towards Revolution continues.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 8/10.

My Top 5 WTF Moments In UFC History.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

I've been an MMA for nearly over two decades, and i've seen some moments that have made me question my sanity, and it's these moments that i'm going to be taking a look at today. It's known that Dana White has had his fairshare of crazy moments, but the fighters that are under his employment can sometimes be just as bad, so sit back, get yourself a drink, and a snack, and i'll begin.

5. Dennis Hallman, And His Tight Huggies.

I remember watching this when it happened, and the only thought that went through my head was, what the hell was he thinking? They looked tight. This is insane due to the fact that he had the balls ( no pun intended ) to walk out looking like a wetsuit model, and not an mma fighter. This would also piss off Dana. He stated that it looked unprofessional in the only way he knows how. with pure rage. The UFC 127 Press Conference was very rememerable.

4. Dana Whites Rant About Oscar Dela Hoya.

This took place on a ESPN Broadcast, as he laid facts into Oscar following his first attempt at getting into the MMA world, this would lead to him putting on the bout that no one wanted to see in October of 201. Chuck Lidell vs Tito Ortiz 3. Chuck got Ko'd in horrific order in the first round. Dana would go on an f bomb tirade in the aftermath, when Oscar said in an interview that White doesn't pay fighters properly. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

3. Tito Ortiz Goes For Dana White UFC 84 Press Conference.

If you've never heard of the backstory between these two, then the only thing that I can say is this, they've got a rivalry with hate that has blood thicker than the river nile. Take yourself back to May 2008, and the issues with White, and Ortiz hadn't cleared in anyway, so sit back and have a look at this awkward moment, that showed how both were just petchulant children. Tito Ortiz harped on about how all white cared about was money, which was why he didn't pay fighters more money, whilst promising them fame, and wealth. Dana took this in, and replied by saying that everyone on this stage just wants to prove that their the best. This was Gold, in the most awkward way possible.

2. UFC 229 And It's Aftermath.

This is one of those, you had to have watched it live, in person, or at home on PPV, in order to believe that this actually happened. It was the end of the main event that had seen Khabib Nurmagomedov retain his lightweight crown against the former champ Connor Mcgregor. An all out war between Khabib, and a member of Connors corner team would the kick off. This would stem from when Connor got arrested before UFC 223. Many things would get said about both incidents, and as time has gone on, the blackeye that the UFC received has healed, and is a lasting reminder that heat travels, and issues can still stem when time hasn't healed all wounds. Connor, and. Khabib's actions would have consequences, from local enforcement on both occassions, whilst Dana White was left to do damage control. I remember when this happened, and the only thought that went through my head was, how could this have happened? And how was this allowed to escalate? When you take a look at the pre PPV Press Conference, you could see the tention start to mount, and it was palpable, so better man management was needed in my opinion.

1. The Times when Two Fighters Thought In The Ultimate Fighter House.

there are two seperate moments that i'm going to talk about, one would change the shape of how the show would look going forward, and the other would see three fighters get kicked out of the Fighter house. Incident one. Bobby Southworth, and. Chris Leben. This happened when the fighters got back from a night of drinking, and the chaos continued. Diego Sanchez couldn't hold his alcohol, and then it happened. Bobby and Chris got into a war of words. This would end with Chris busting his knuckle, after he trashed parts of the house, and punching his fist into a door. The second one was when Marlon Simms, and. Noah Thomas Brawled in the garden, as Allen Berube acted like the fighters version of Steve Mazzagatti, and allowed these two to batter each other. Thomas was taken to the hospital, and then the following day. Dana White removed all three men from the house. If you can't do the time, then don't get into real shoot fights on a reality tv show.

Overview of this piece.

The term unhinged gets thrown around to freely these days, but when you look at how the UFC has handled itself over the years. From the moments that no one talks about, to these incidents that also act like reminders to behave yourself when the public eye is watching. This is easier said than done, so lets just put it this way, if you acted like this in your day job, then the next week you will have an appointment with an unemployment agency. Life is a funny thing, you can have something one minute, and the next your the talk of the public domain, for all the wrong reasons. Negative is good press, hah yeah right.

WWE Monday Night Raw Top 5 Takeaways.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Apology.

Before I get stated on the intro i'm having to apologise for the delay of this piece, this is because of my day job needing my time, and given the fact that i'm going to be working for 8 days straight, my time at the minute isn't my own, so I can only apologise.

Intro.

The rd to Wrestlemania is heading through Chicago next Saturday, and i've got to say it, i'm looking forward to watching Elimination Chamber. This is one of my favourite times of year to be a WWE fan. I understand that the booking has taken a bit of a dive, but this is the Pro Wrestling industry, and it's a very divisive thing. The ticket sales for Mania haven't done as well as what WWE would have hoped for them to be, and in my opinion, this falls on how TKO have managed the funds for WWE. Back in January I attended the Friday Night Smackdown at the OVO Wembley Arena, and I paid £1.6500 euros, and i'm still feeling the effects of the booking alone, so I can't imagine what's like to pay £1.000 dollars, just for one seat. If you want the maximum outage, then you've got to lower your expectations, because this is what's best for business.

5. The Vision Stop A Yeetathon.

This was just criminal. You should never stop my ability to Yeet. Paul Heyman and. Logan Paul were the cause of this atrocity. Heyman brought this to a full stop, and. Logan Paul acted like the obnoxious idiot that he is. I'm not a big fan of Logans, and it's due to the lack of accountibility, when it comes to the controversies that he's been involved in. And just as Logan bragged about his sale of a Pokemon Card, yes you heard me, a Pokemon Card, step forward, and thank god for Mr LA Knight. ( Yeah ) He took out Logan in the only way he knows how, by verbally ascinating him, and his Vision Crew. LA then challenged them to a trios Match with his partners The Uso's. Adam Pearce then gave this the OK, and the Match followed. I liked this. There felt like a sense olf urgentcy when this started, and this was quite refreshing. It's no secret that i'm a massive Jey Uso fan, and I hated how he was booked last year. I think that he and his brother looked great here, and the chemistry that all 6 men have was allowed to shine here. Knight and his friends got the win. A lot has been said about this masked figure attacking The Vision. And this is my thought. It could be anyone, because when HHH was in the UK last month he took a trip to Primark, and loaded up on Black hoodies. The man in the hoodie gave Logan a stomp, and just like I wanted to buy him a beer. Just a thought what if the masked man is Coffeezilla. I can dream right.

4. Asuka vs Bayley Vs Nattie Elimination Chamber.

This was excellent for a TV stationed Match at the near start of the show. However I hate Natalya's new character of a pretend UFC Fighter, it just feels forced, and her sharpshooter attempts just look painful to watch. Bayley, and. Asuka were the stars of this outing, because their chemistry was undeniable. Asuka got the win. I had a great time watching this whilst my breakfast of peanut buttered toast.

3. Liv Morgan sit Down Segment With Michael Cole.

I loved this. Liv Morgan sat down with Michael Cole, and he asked the question her the time old question. Who is she going to face at WrestleMania, this was when Stephanie Vaquer stepped in, and delivered a promo in spanish. This was excellent, as it laid bare the differences between the two ladies, all whilst everyones favourite Chicken Nuggett eating Lovegod Dominik Mysterio just sat there acting like a family liason man. Moments after this aired on the main show WWE uploaded this clip to there Youtube Channel with subtitles, this didn't take away the gravitas in my opinion.

2. Cm Punk Segment.

This Promo segment contained several high end beats, that If you blinked then you would've missed them. From Punk Pointing out his own flaws. The main jeopardising of the Wrestlemania main event, as he showed Finn Balor respect. Finn then came out with Dominik Mysterio, and a returning JD Mcdonagh. Finn went through all the plaudits of his career, all so Punk could tear him down, and play with his head, and leave him realing. I loved this.

1. AJ Lee Segment.

Punk, and. AJ Lee aren't just married, when it comes to real life, but this could also be said about their TV segments. This was a carbon copy of how things would play out back in 2013, and when AJ speaks I feel that were taken back to those times. Now if you fast forward to 2026, does this work alongside Becky's excellent heel work? Well, if i'm being honest, i'm not sure, this just felt off. I did like this on first viewing, but having watched it again on Youtube, I do feel that this comes across, well, a bit weird. I'm sure that the Match will bang at Elimination Chamber, but segments like this only put pressure to an already bleeding out wound, and the bad thing is that it does nothing to help WWE in the long run.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

I understand that this weeks Monday Night Raw has been met with mixed reviews online, but I enjoyed moments on this shows. TV is an everchanging landscape, and just as shows change so do tastes, my tastes haven't changed much since I was 14, but that doesn't mean that this show was everyone. We're all differant, and that's the cool thing about living on this planet.

AEW GrandSlam Review. 16.2.2026.

Intro.

You know we belong together. AEW should visit Australia forever and ever, no matter were you are. Tony Khan will act as our guiding star, and from the first moment that I saw the promotion, i'd never felt such emotion. They've left me walking on air, just to know they are there, hold them in your arms, and don't let them go. I want the promotion to stay forever, closer each day. AEW is better than Home And Away. You guys can clearly tell that i've too much fun when writing this piece. I was going to try and ruin Neighbours, and then I thought, nah i'm going to leave Paul Robinson alone.

Jon Moxley vs Konosuke Takeshita Continental Championship.

This Match started out as a stalemate, that turned into a good exhibiton of Pro Wrestling. The one thing that I took away from this, was the fact that Jon is the master of joint manipulation. This became the back story of the Match. As the time limit came to an end. Both men kicked out deathriders, and knees to the face, but given the fact that the time ran out, this will act as both mens direction going into Revolution. I liked this. Both men gave each other some afters in the aftermath.

Babes Of Wrath vs Megabad AEW Womens Tag Team Championship.

This Match was the victim of either a poor audience, or bad sound issues, because all I heard was crickets. Babes Of Wrath retained, in what was a solid Match.

Andrade El Idolo vs Hangman Adam Page.

When this card got formilised, this was the Match that I was most looking forward two seeing, and this didn't disapoint. The Match's outlay made for a fascinating booking. Andrade, and. Hangman Adam Page. I'm suprised these two have never met in the ring before. Their chemistry worked, and as the final sequences came into play. The end was insight, and the direction going into Revolution became clear. Hangman Will face MJF In LA next month, and I can't wait to see it. I get that some people might look at this with the eyes of lazy booking, but if you deep this, It actually makes sense. MJF has never faced Hangman Adam Page for the big belt, and given the fact that there having a face to face this Wednesday on Dynamite, this is starting to shape up to be a good build going into next months ppv.

Mixed Tornado Tag Team Match Orange Cassidy And Timeless Toni Storm vs Wheeler Yuta.

If you didn't have fun watching this Match, then I don't know what to tell you. I loved this. Everything from the split screen image, all the way down to the comedy spots. Toni Storm is one of the best modern day wrestlers, that knows how to make you laugh. Her getting taken out by Luther, and her and Cassidy doing there own version of Dancing With Pro Wrestlers was great. I had a great time watching this. Storm And Cassidy got the win, oh and Wheeler you're going to look great with a shaved head, and your welcome to join my posse of shaved head guys. Trust me a shaved head is the best.

Mark Briscoe vs Kyle Fletcher TNT Championship Ladder Match.

If you mix the words. Sick. Ghouling. Anxiety, and. Nerve Riddles, and put them all in a blender, you would get this gratifying look into sickening, bloodsoaked Malevolence, that delivered on every level. As the chants of please don't die echoed around the arena. The Ladder spots became even more unhinged. Mark performed a froggybow onto Fletcher who was positioned on a Ladder, and then later On Kyle gave him a brainbuster from the top of the Ladder. This was easily the Match of the night, and a clever booking decision from the aspect of a Esca Dela Huerte. Kyle Fletcher is still our TNT Champion, and this made sense.

MJF Vs Brody King AEW Heavyweight Championship.

Before I get into the Match. I'm going to address the controversy surrounding Brody King, and the chants surrounding Ice. I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to any form of bullying towards ethnic groups, and imigrants, and I stand with Brody. One of my favourite Bands is Rage Against The Machine, and back in 1992 Zack Dela Rocha said some immortal words. We've got to take the power back. This is what is happening in the Pro Wrestling industry, and I love to see fans fighting back. In order to be human, we act human, it's really not that difficult. The Match played out the way that I thought that it would, from humour, to the overall pressentation. This delivered. Both men showed that they've got immense chemistry, and this made for a great round up to end the show. MJF will face Hangman Adam Page at Revolution, after he beat Brody.

AEW GrandSlam Australia Overview.

AEW has managed to keep its good faith with fans as the early part of this year draws to a close, and given the fact that Wembley is back on the horizon, things are looking very appealing for Tony Khan, and his little train that can.

AEW GrandSlam Australia 2026 is a high 9/10.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Review. 14.2.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley

Intro.

I'm starting this off with apology, due to the lateness of this piece, because I decided to have a chill out day, whilst having my own annual I hate Valentines Day The Hills Fest. ( Don't judge me ) Next week I will be working six days in a row in my day job, so a little bit of me time is needed. I will be reviewing AEW Grandslam, but due to this fact, it will be arriving on Monday morning, you guys know that I don't make these decisions lightly, but sometimes I do have to put myself first.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Cody Rhodes. Sami Zayn. Jacob Fatu. Alexa Bliss. Giulia. Jade Cargill. Zelina, and. Jordynne Grace, were all seen showing up to work.

Tiffany Stratton Segment And Nia Jax And Lash Legend vs Rhiyo WWE Tag Team Championship.

I hated this. Tiffany isn't a very good promo, and this proved my point. She talked about her Mania dreams, having to go through the Elimination Chamber, and just like that Nia Jax and Lash Legend interrupted this, both Tiffany and Nia just churned out the same old WWE recycled garbage, as Rhiyo stopped them. The WWE Tag Team Championship Match then followed, and this was laughable at best. The in ring work felt phoned in, and unimaganitive. Rhiyo retained, lets just move on.

Cody Rhodes Segment.

I love this man. I know that fans are starting to tire of Mr Rhodes, and when he was talking about his insights to do what is going to happen later on, I couldn't help but think. By the end of the main event, our Mania Night one main event will become even more clear.

Alestair Black And Zelina Segment.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that Alestair Black, and. Zelina remind me of the bad guys from Brandon Lee's The Crow movie. Brandon Lee's The Crow is the best version.

Carmelo Hayes Segment And Everything That Came Afterwards.

I didn't like this. It all felt far two convoluted, and if i'm being honest a bit pointless. I would've loved to have seen Carmelo Hayes vs Ilja again, Ilja came out  and what we got was a mess, because then outcame Solo Sikoa, and his band of MFT's, and. Solo wasn't happy, because he found out GTA 6 has been pulled back again. He instructed his crew, who dress like they've robbed the Cobra Kai Dojo of their 1980's Halloween costumes, to attack the Both men. This led to Nick Aldis to come out. Matt Cardona. Shinsuke Nakamura, and. Apollo Crews came out, and made the save, but as if by magic, outcame Nick Aldis, who put all of these men in 10 Man Tag Match. The Match was actually decent, however there were moments that looked clunky, and uninspired, because you could see what was going to happen coming a mile off. The MFT's got the win, and then the lights went out, and there was The Wyatt Sic, having a nice time with the fans. Solo Just give Uncle Howdy back his lantern.

Charlotte Flair Said Sorry To Alexa Bliss.

Yeah, I don't know what to make of this. I do think that Alexa and Charlotte are on their way to splitsville. This could be spelling the end of the line for these two at some point.

Kit Wilson Segment.

Damien Priest, and. R Truth couldn't contain there laughter, after Nick Aldis allowed Truth to verbally ablicerate this Andrew Tate soundalike. I'm not a fan of this. I understand that Kit is working with what he's been given, but producing mass Male Toxicity isn't a healthy thing to promote, oh and other thing. Thank God For Oba Femi.

Alexa Bliss vs Giulia vs Zelina Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I've been watching WWE for over thirty years, and I'm just going to say it. These type of Matches are one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to the promotion these days. Results are made to easy guess when you're playing the mental game of chess, that's called how to book a build to a PLE. This Match was dull, and highly predictable. Alexa got the win.

AEW Rip Off.

I love me some Chelsea Green, and her getting put in her place whilst she was in a wheelchair by Tiffany Stratton was funny, this also wasn't in Keyfabe either. Chelsea is recovering from a legit broken Ankle that she sustained during her Match last week, against Tiffany Stratton, and. Lash Legend. I know what you're all thinking, how is this a rip off from AEW, well think back to the early days of Dr Britt Baker, and after she suffered a legit injury, she got wheeled around by Rebel. Do Better WWE.

Rey Fenix vs Trick Williams.

This was excellent. I don't think WWE know what they've got on there hands with Trick Williams. He's a star in the making, and if he's guided properly, then he's going to go to the moon, and it will be exciting to see. His Match with Rey was solid, and very watchable, and a good bit of business. His promo beforehand was also great. Woop that Trick indeed. Trick got the win.

Jordynne Grace vs Jade Cargill WWE Womens Championship Match.

I understand what WWE were trying to do here, but in all honesty, this felt like a misfire. Before the Match could get underway Liv Morgan. Dominik Mysterio, and. Raquel Rodriguez came out to the ring, to watch the Match, and have a meal of Chicken Nuggets, and some Dom Pirion to wash them all down with. The Match wasn't up to anything, and this was a real shame. I get that some people don't like Jade Cargill, and the blame that she gets online is a bit unfair in my opinion, because I think she was booked better when she was in AEW. Jade got the win.

Sami Zayn vs Jacob Fatu vs Cody Rhodes Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

This was excellent. WWE used the trope that I mentioned earlier, but the difference between both Matches, was the shade of day and night. This felt fresh, and as the action deepened into the final stages, the mental game of chess that all three men took the fans on, became the measuring pole for who wants it more. I said earlier on in this review that by the end of the main event, the Mania night one main event would look a bit more clear. After Drew was decent to Sami before the Match had started. you knew that we weren't in for a clean finish and that's exactly what happened. Drew gave Cody a Claymore, after Sami and Jacob had a minor Match within the Match, this would lead to a near fall, and just like that Cody had hit Sami with the Cross Rhodes for the win. This screams 4 way to me.

Overview Of WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

This week WWE Friday Night Smackdown was a real mix bag of sweats, pick out the ones you like, and leave the ones that you don't.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a mid 6/10.

 AEW Dynamite Review 12.2.2026.

Kenny Omega vs Swerve Strickland.

This segment was awesome. I love it when AEW host these face to face segments. The dynamic was spot on between these two. From Swerve bringing how many other company's talent were vying to face Kenny, to his injuries, and real life suspension from Brawl In. Kenny fired back by stating that he will beat Swerve, because he believes he will. He gave Swerve a slap, and just like that the fight was on. Both men thought in the fans, and onto the stage, this led to Swerve sphering Kenny off the Stage, and through two well placed tables.

The Deathriders vs The Don Callis Family.

I have my gripes, not with this Match, because this was solid. It's this Don Callis Family, and. Deathriders feud. I'm bored of this, and just want it two end. The Deathriders got the win. Moxley vs Takeshita on Saturday is going to bang though.

Kyle Fletcher vs Tomasso Ciampa AEW TNT Championship.

I loved this. From Kyle being able to neutrilise Tomasso's offence in the early going, him eating a Psycho driller on the steel steps, and multiple knees to the face. This would lead into the final sequences, that worked to solidify Kyles fighting spirit status. The pace of the Match became the back story, and it made sense, because this played into both mens abilities. This would lead to Kyle getting the win, and becoming a two time AEW TNT Champion. He said in the aftermath of this Match, that he will be a fighting champion, and will take all comers. Enter stage left Mark Briscoe. Mark said that they've faced each other six times, in the past, so how about a seventh in Sydney. Kyle accepted, and said that if Mark wants to get his belt, then he's going to have to reach for the sky in a Ladder Match. I love this booking, as it underlines the form of Esca Dela Huerte.

Sorry Mum.

My mums Birthday is on the 28th of March, and i'm just going to say it. The All In Presale Tickets go on sale on the 16th, and I plan on getting myself, a big old expensive ticket, so yeah, sorry mum.

Daniel Garcia And Clark Connors vs Orange Cassidy And Roderick Strong.

This was good. On paper and I was excited to see how this would unfold, and it didn't match part of my expectations. The physicality was good, but this was layered with some predictable tropes, that I couldn't get my head around, from a storytelling aspect. Roderick Strong walked out on Cassidy, and. Darby Allin attacked Clark Connors, after his trip to the desert on a horse with no name from last week. Cassidy managed to get the win, and then we were treated to Timeless Toni Storm, threatening to make Marina Shafir look like a hideos unloved child, when she shaves her head on Saturday. Don't worry mina your hair will grow back, as for Wheeler Yuta. I can't wait to see you looking like Dr Evils long lost son.

Hangman Adam Page And Andrade El Idolo Segment.

We then heard from Andrade El Idolo, and Hangman Adam Page, ahead of their Match this weekend. I can't to see this at Grandslam.

Young Bucks vs. The Rascalz vs Private Party.

Private Party are back in AEW, and I couldn't be more pleased to see them. Two Years ago I met Private Party at an AEW fan meet up, at the Box Park in Wembley the day before All In London 2024, and they couldn't have been any nicer, So I wish them all the best. Back in late 2024 it was rumoured that they were WWE bound, so it's great to see them back home. This was a solid look at Were AEW want to take their Tag Team Division. This was a party Match in every sense of the word. The outlay screamed go, from the pace, to the booking. Young Bucks got the win, and then had a minor segment with FTR. They shut Dax Harwood up by superkicking him him, and. Cash Wheeler, whilst my man Big Stoke sat their in his wheelchair, looking like a comic book Super Villain. I liked this. I get that this can be seen as backwards booking, that has had varying results. I think that this screams reset, and when you look at AEW's Tag Team Division, this is needed in my opinion.

Will Osperay Return Vingnette.

Ok AEW I see what you're doing here, you want Wembley to be a sell out. Ok then take my money. These vingnettes are working at telling the audience what might becoming just around the corner. I love Will, and want nothing but the best for him, and I hope his light training goes well.

Thekla vs Kris Statlander AEW Womens Championship.

I loved this. From the very go I knew that we we were in for a treat, from the sight of Statlander standing there with the leather strap, which would play into the backwards psychology of the Match, both ladies laying in some sickening slaps to each other, and Statlander getting busted open, and Thekla chewing on her flesh. These moments would play into how the Match played out. I'm starting to like Thekla, but I love watching Kris Statlander work, and i'm gutted to see her lose the belt in the fashion of The Sisters Of Sin taking her out. Kris Statlanders AEW Run with the main womens belt has been a bit mixed, and having it end in this way, doesn't help the scanario.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This weeks AEW Dynamite felt like a standard edition of weekly TV, and not a go home show, before a big show, however, this show worked to get me excited for Australia GrandSlam, because Pro Wrestling is a divisive thing. Like what you like Guys.

This Weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 8/10.

 Top 5 Worst UFC Suspensions.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

In the real world, getting suspended from your job is one of the worst things that can happen to someone. In this list were going to be taking a look at the worst times the UFC, or the NASC has had to step when fighters do the worst things to there reputation. Sometimes it's how the fighters make amends through there comebacks, that pack a harder punch.

5. Anderson Silva.

Anderson was suspended by the Nevada Athletic State Commission after his fight against Nick Diaz at UFC 183. This came as a suprise at the time, but when you dig beneath the surface, it isn't. Anderson had spent over a year on the sidelines with a broken leg, after his second fight against Chris Weidman. The drug that he tested positive for was an anabolic steroid that has been banned in every sport. Anderson was fined, and his reputation never recovered as a result. Andersons suspension lasted for over a year, and he would lose to Michael Bisping in London upon his return.

4. Chris Leben.

When The Crippler was a full time member of the UFC Middleweight Division, his hands were seen as lethal, especially after when he beat Wanderlai Silva at UFC 132 in July of 2011. His next fight would be at UFC 138, in Birmingham UK. when he faced Mark Munoz, this would also be one of his last appearances for the Las Vegas Promotion. Chris would be suspended after this, when he tested positive for an anabolic steroid. Chris would leave the promotion in 2013. This would act as a cautionary tale, that needs to be told. Chris was a standout in the Middleweight Division, so this acted as a sad reminder to never throw away what you have earnt over time.

3. Sean Sherk.

This one is a bit baffling to me. Sean was stripped of his UFC Lightweight Championship after he beat Hermes Franca at UFC 73. He got suspended by the CASC after an investigation, this would lead to a lengthy battle to clear his name. He won the case, and was able to fight again. It was also alledged that he had to undergo a lie detector test. He would lose to BJ Penn at UFC 84, in the main event in a failed attempt to get his belt back. Penn called him out after he beat Joe Stevenson at UFC 80, in Newcastle UK. The thing that I find funny about this suspension is the fact the UFC, and other state commissions have suspended fighters for far less. I know what Sean did was wrong. I just feel that the same energy needs to shown. This is also a learning curb when it comes to proving someones innocence. Seans penalty was reduced from One year six months, and his financial penalty was reduced. Like I said before it's heavily rumoured that Sean underwent a lie detector test, and it came back that he was telling the truth, although it must be said that the accuracy of lie detector tests has been brought into question over the years.

2. Alistair Overeem.

This happened after he sent Brock Lesnar back to the WWE, when he beat the team Death Clutch member at UFC 141. He tested positive for an anabolic steroid. This was a blackeye in what was a solid career for the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion. His UFC career was a bit mixed in my opinion, and it never recovered after this. This suspension was handed down by the NASC after they found irregularity's with his test that happened before the fight, however this wouldn't be made public knowledge until April of 2012. His suspension would last until the January of 2013, and pulled him out of a planned title fight against the then Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos. I'm not a big fan of Alistairs. i've thought that his fight style was a tad overrated.

1. Nick Diaz.

Nate has been suspended by the NASC has suspended Nick twice. The first time that i'm going to focus on is the aftermath of UFC 143 when he lost to Carlos Condit for the UFC Interim Welterweight Championship. He tested positive for Marijuna metabolites. The Stockton native was out of action for over a year as a result of this, and had to hand over 30 percent of his fight purse. This was the second time that Diaz faced a suspension from the NASC, he was given a six month suspension 2007, after he Takanori Gomi at Pride 33 in Las Vegas, when the promotion went to Las Vegas on the Febuary 24th of that year. Nick was also suspended in Febuary of 2015 after he lost to Anderson Silva at UFC 183, however this Match got thrown out after both men turned in failed tests.

Overview Of This Piece.

Over the years the UFC has had to abide by what the various global athletic commissions go by, and there word is final. When suspensions get handed out, there normally is a seed of doubt when it comes to public perception, so this piece was written with the aim of educating fans in what has happened to some fighters over the years. This piece wasn't written about how to cheat, neither does it condone cheating. I wrote this as a way of looking how punishments can lead to confusion in the public eye.

My Top Thoughts From This Weeks Monday Night 10.2.2026.

Intro.

You guys are going to have to excuse me if I sound a bit grumpy. This is due to the fact that i've given up full fat crisps, for the time being. I might sound a bit tired at the minute, because of a lack of crisps, but my god I think that higher ups in WWE are worse. There seems to be a bit of a negative pull when it comes to HHH's booking. I know that this surrounding the build to WrestleMania. I'm currently enjoying elements of WWE, whilst I do think that somethings need ironing out. I get that fan preception isn't great at the moment, but this comes under what I always say. Like what you like guys, because were all differant.

Bron Breakker Is Out For The Forceable.

Yesterday it was reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, that Bron Breakker is now injured, and is now out of WrestleMania. This is a massive blow. Just look at it this way. You work all year to get to the ultimate destination, and this happens, you hear that you have to undergo surgery, sometimes life isn't fair.

Becky Lynch Segment.

Oh my. Can you say petchulant child. My friend has a three year old daughter, and she acts like this when she doesn't get her own way. I'm the best behaved everyone says it. Becky saw AJ Lee turn up with Cm Punk, and she wasn't happy. Becky came straight out to kick the show off, and after she did her regular schpeel, out came AJ. Both Ladies had a great promo, and it felt like we were watching the old AJ again from 2013, when she was delivering on the mic. Becky's unhinged side of her character came out, and it was great to watch. Becky challenged AJ to a Match at Elimination Chamber, but on one condition, if she puts her Intercontinental Championship on the line. Becky agreed to this. I liked this way of booking, the champion setting the Match is a smart way to look at how this Match should play out at Elimination Chamber. I thought that we were going to get this at Mania, but this could be a direct look at how HHH's version of 50/50 booking. This sounds interesting.

The Usos vs The Alpha Academy WWE Mens Tag Team Championship.

I thought this was a play by the way TV Match, that went nowhere. The Uso's retained, ok Look I love Jey Uso, but I just feel like he's gone backwards teaming back up with his brother. I want to see WWE do a reset on his Main Event Character, because the babyface act that he's working, is just that it's not working.

Rhea Ripley vs Ivy Nile vs Lyra Valkyria Womens Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I didn't like this. I don't know about you guys, but I thought this felt a bit phoned in, with the added extra of clunkyness. PLus WWE gave away the winner when they showed Rhea's entrance, and not Ivy's, and. Lyras. I hate when WWE do this, because even though I get that WWE need to make the winner look dominant, but this takes away the element of suprise to the viewer. Please don't do this WWE.

Honourable Mention.

Stephanie Vaquer Slaps Dirty Dominik Mysterio.

I cried laughing watching this. I mean wouldn't you when watching this Love cheat getting what's his. Good on you Stephanie.

Dishonourable Mention.

Maxxine Dupri vs Nattie.

I have a question for you guys. What is a nattie, is she a badass WWE version of a UFC fighter? Or is she a videogame character from a supermarket bargain bin? So many questions that WWE will never answer.

Finn Balor interrupts Cm Punks Segment.

This was excellent. Finn was on fine form here, as he laid his thoughts bare when it came to Roman Reigns, and. Cm Punk, and just like that we were off to the races. Finn spoke with passion, fire, and, grace, and it's refreshing to see. He said that he wants to face Punk again, this time at Elimination Chamber in Punks hometown of Chicago. This brought Adam Pearce, and our GM The Scrap Daddy, said that this isn't how things were going to go down, and just like that enter stage left Cm Punk. This was awesome, as security tried to keep these two seperate Punk agreed to the Match, much to the annoyance of Pearce. Security got Finn out from the building, and. Punk had an in ring segment with Michael Cole. Michael asked the question that I had on my mind since Finn left the ring. Why would he jeopordise the Mania main event, and he said that this is because he wants to be a fighting champion, because this is his passion, and there's nothing that Roman can do about it. I know that this style of booking isn't for everyone, but to me this was the highlight, on what was a decent Monday Night Raw.

Top 5 Times WWE Storylines Hit lightning In A Bottle.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

Over my vast thirty years of Watching Pro Wrestling, there are many moments that a Promotion has hit lightning in a bottle. AEW for example has only been in existance for seven years, and they've already carved out a nache for themselves in the TV/ and Pro Wrestling landscape, but what about the market leader. WWE has been in business for nearly seventy years, so the big question is how many times have they caught the attention of the fans, and the wider world. This is my look at how many times WWE has caught lightning in a bottle.

5. The Yes Movement.

In 2010 the WWE debuted it's NXT brand under the guise of a gameshow, and one of the participants was the former ROH standout Daniel Bryan. He quickly became a fan favourite amongst hardcorists, and got over instantly. As time went on fans became more on his side, this lead to 2013, and how his booking was handled. Take your min back to 2013. The WWE was going a resurgance coming off the back of WrestleMania 28, the year before. In 2013 Bryan would captivate the fans as his yes movement took shape, from the past three years. It was clear that WWE had something special on there hands, but the big question was how would WWE handle this? Well not very well, at Summerslam 2013, Bryan beat John Cena to become the WWE champion, but he instantly lost it when Randy Orton, after he cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase. This would anger fans. At the time the thought process from most fans on the internet felt like WWE weren't listening to their fans, and it could show in the product. January 2014 was an interesting time for the Greenwich Conneticut Promotion, as Cm Punk quit the company the day after that years Royal Rumble, stating non healing injuries, and arguments with higher ups over bad creative. This would be the theme when Punk sat down with his old friend Colt Cobana, on his now infamous appearance on the art of Pro Wrestling Podcast. Many Mania plans got changed off the back of this. Daniel was then put in the main focus, as fan voices got louder, and louder. This would lead to the rd to WrestleMania 30, and Daniel and his fans creating one of the best moments in Monday Night Raw history. Occupy Raw is one of those gold moments that you want to relive again, and, again.

4. Oooooooh Yeah.

The year was 1985, and the WWE had introduced to WrestleMania to the masses. Event though I think this Mania doesn't hold up when you look at by todays standards. There is one thing did come from the back of it. The rise of Randy Savage. Between the time of 1985-1994 Randy was used as the guy to run the company from a promotional stand point on multiple occassions. In 1988 he beat. Ted Bibiase to become the WWF Champion at WrestleMania 4, and a year later he would beat Hulk Hogan at Mania 5, in one of the most personal, and viscerile rivalry's that the WWF commitied to air during this decade. This struck a cord with fans, and the then WWF captilised on that fact.

3. JR Sit Down Interviews.

For this entry we going to be looking at three moments. The first one is from may 1997. JR sat down with Mick Foley, as his Mankind character, this was a stunning piece of TV, the segment worked to get the fledgling character over. Mick was becoming a fan favourite, and this segment made him a star. The next one came in the summer of 1999. HHH sat down with JR to get his thoughts  out on a segment that went out on Monday Night Raw. I loved this segment at the time, and I still watch it today, as it unfolds the rules of Keyfabe for all , and it's gripping to see. Take yourself back to March of 2001. Buffy The Vampire Slayer was rumoured to be getting Cancelled. Linkin Park was storming up the album charts with there debut Album Hybrid Theory, and WCW was on the verge of closing it's doors for good. The Raw Is War go home show before Mania 17, was a hot one, from the aspect of being a simulcast. Raw was in Cleveland Ohio, whilst WCW Nitro was in Panama City, this would be the last broadcast in WCW history, as the WWE had bought them out. On the same broadcast JR sat down with The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. And what happened was a TV segment masterpiece. Now all this needs was some added Limp Bizkit. Because it's Okay, to want to do things My Way. These were priceless moments.

2. Austin 3.16.

Superstars have come and gone, and eras have passed since, with the likes of John Cena. Roman Reigns, and. Randy Orton trying to take the mantle, however none of them can Match up in terms of sales, and it comes to Stone Cold Steve Austin. 1996, was a bad time for the then WWF, as it was going through a bad time from a creative standout. They were failing to create new stars, as WCW Nitro was starting to lead in the ratings when June of 1996 was starting off. In that month the WWF hosted its annual PPV King Of The Ring. Steve had just beaten Jake Roberts in the final, and he then delivered the Promo that kick started his legendary WWF Babyface run. This is considered one of the best Promos to ever grace Pro Wrestling. The sparks then flew, and my word it was awesome.

Honourable Mentions.

Ronda Rousey's Rookie Year.

Ronda's relationship with WWE these days isn't in a good place for multiple reasons, but this run was eic.

Viva La Razza.

The life of Eddie Guererro was cut short in November of 2005, after he suffered a heart attack alone in a hotel room. But his promos, before he faced Brock Lesnar, at No Way Out 2004, and after showed the higher ups in WWE at the time, that they had another Main event talent, that understood the path of redemption, and he  succeeded in it's path.

1. HBK vs The Best There Is, The Best There Was, And The Best There Ever Will Be Mania Press Conference.

The path to Glory runs in pain, and personal annymousity, these are words that easily can be said about how Shawn Michaels, and. Bret Hart felt about each other during 1995-1996, and beyond. The moment these two had to stand and talk before Mania 12, at a Press Conference. This would lead to the Ironman Match that would set the standards for WWE going into the final years of the decade. I'm not the biggest fan of this Match by todays standards, but when you take a look at the business model that the WWF had back in 1996, it was vital for this Match to happen, as real life feelings boiled over onto weekly TV.

Friday Night Smackdown Review 7.2.2026.

Written by Patrick O'malley

Intro.

I was asking a friend of mine lately, who's also a big Pro Wrestling fan, and I asked her a question. I said is this the best time to be a WWE fan? And her answer was swift. Well, What do you think? and at that point I knew that she was right. I love the rd to WrestleMania. There's just something unpredictable about this build, because you never know what twists and turns this course of creative is going to take. Roman vs Punk, and the looming threat of that three way, between Cody. Drew, and. Jacob, this WrestleMania season is starting to shape up just nicely.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Tiffany Stratton. Lash Legend. Nia Jax. Randy Orton, and. Solo Sikoa were seen showing up to the venue.

Drew Mcintyre Segment.

Drew Mcintyre was given the walk through treatment, but before he could get to the ring, he was attacked by Cody Rhodes. Security had to pull these two apart. Cody then took to the mic. His passion is infectious. I understand that Mr Rhodes is starting to annoy a lot of fans, but ask me this. Name me another superstar who's this passionate, because I think that Cody is the definition of that word. He talked about local pride, and then said that his nickname was Raheem, and just like that my mind goes straight to football. So Cody is nick named after a washed up former Man City player. This was an excellent way to start the show. This would also be an episode long storythread.

Rhiyo vs Giulia And Kiana James WWE Womens Tag Team Championships.

I'm starting to like the team of Iyo Sky, and. Rhea Ripley. They took a while, but they're now growing on me. This outing on paper didn't look very good, but after watching it this. I can honestly say that i've never been more happy to be wrong. This was a well booked TV Match, that saw the champs retain. The chemistry that was on display was excellent.

The Miz vs Carmelo Hayes.

Ok guys. This Match wasn't great, but it does get a pass because it's the year of The Miz, ( hoooooooooooooooorah ) so this gets a pass. Carmelo got the win.

Tacky Time. Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend vs Tiffany Stratton Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I have to say it. God bless you Chelsea Green. This segment with her, Alba Fyre, and. Tiffany Stratton was pure comedic gold. She then lost to Tiffany Stratton, and. Lash Legend in what was a great bit of business when you look at how the Elimination Chamber is shaping up.

Kit Wilson Segment.

I don't like what WWE are doing with Kit Wilson. I know i'm one fan in a big see of fans who dosen't like this, but when you take a look at the world at the moment. The internet is full of these types of people. Thank God for Oba Femi, and his need to wreck people like Ralph, because this was great. R Truth loved this. Damien Priest I'm not too sure about, and we all know what Drew Mcintyre is thinking.

Drew Mcintyre Segment.

Drew tried to speak again, but this time he was attacked by Jacob Fatu. These two need to have a face without Cody, because I don't think that Jacob hasn't been tested on the mic.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Tama Tonga.

This was flat. I don't know what else to say, because the fans that were in attendence sounded tired. Tama got the win. This Match is one of the many problems when you run a 3 hour show.

Johnny Gargano Segment.

Fraxiom, and. The Motorcity Machine Gunns were having fun at Johnny Garganos expense. I think I can some it up. I'm a massive fan of Greenday, and to quote there lyrics. Nobody likes him. Tomasso has left him, he's moved to AEW, and is having fun.

Liv Morgan Segment.

I didn't like this. From something that had promise, to a segment that turned into a promotrain. Liv put herself over, whilst Raquel looked pissed off after what happened last Monday, and don't get me started on the Royal Rumble last weekend. This years ladies winner was interrupted by Jade Cargill, after Liv put over her love for the Toby Maguire Spiderman Films. Jade was then interrupted by Jordynne Grace, and this prompted Nick Aldis to put these ladies in an Impromptu Match. From clunky booking, to my outrage surrounding  bad execution of the Match, that did nothing for me. Jade, and. Jordynne got the win, after Jade accidentally kicked her partner in the face. Jade will face Jordynne next week for the WWE Womens Championship.

Everyone Loves Sami Zayn.

Now I don't know about you guys, but I love Sami Zayn. Everyone loves Sami Zayn. Rey Fenix loves Sami Zayn. Trick Williams on the other hand, yeah, not so much.

Drew Mcintyre Finally Talks.

From giving those who came before him respect, ( except for Dusty Rhodes ) him giving his thoughts on what transpired on Monday Night Raw, between Cm Punk, and. Roman Reigns, and his interaction with Trick Williams, this, for a TV segment was perfect. I loved this. No notes.

Randy Orton vs Solo Sikoa vs Alestair Black Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

This was good. In Keyfabe this had no right to be as good as it was, but for a WWE tv Match, this was solid. I didn't agree with Randy getting the win, because I think that this would've suited Alestair a bit more, and at this stage in Ortons career, I don't think that the booking has done him favours here, because a gimmick like The Elimination Chamber should be used as a test for underutilised talent. I know that not many people will agree with me, but this is just my opinion.

Overview of  WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown was a joy to watch, on a Saturday Morning with a round of Bacon Sandwiches. The in-ring work was solid, as my excitement for this years WrestleMania starts to grow. Keep this up WWE.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a high 7/10.

Top 5 Times Pro Wrestling Promos Went Off The Rails.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

Keeping things on track is one of the most important things in the Pro Wrestling business, and whilst wrestlers take the fans on a journey through storytelling, they have to maintain a level of professionalism, but what happens when that Professionalism becomes personal, and in some areas become difficult to watch. These are the moments that have made Pro Wrestling fans squirm, for all of the wrong reasons. So sit back, and get a drink, and give this list a read.

5. Sunny Days May 1997.

This to this day remains one of those moments in Pro Wrestling, that most fans still talk about, because of just how personal things got between Shawn Michaels, and. Bret The Hit Man Hart. It's well documented how much how these two hated each other in the period of 1995 to 1997, the annimousity between these two had become so heated that physical brawls would happen, with Pat Patterson getting caught in the middle. This segment took place on the 19th of May 1997 edition of  Raw Is War. At the time this segment blurred the lines between fiction, and keyfabe. Shawn in recent years has come out and said that he regretted his actions. Shawn was going through his own issues at the time. Instigating the thoughts that someone is having an affair isn't big or clever.

4. Reid Flair November 2015.

This one might've been scripted, but it took the fans by suprise. This aired on WWE TV's flagship show Monday Night Raw, during a in ring segment between Paige, and. Charlotte Flair, were Paige could be heard saying the words. Your little Brother didn't have much fight in him did he. This segment was highly controversial, as it brought up the real life death of Charlotte's brother Reid, who passed away in April of 2013 from a drug overdose. I remember watching this when it aired, and the first thing that went through my head was, who ok'd this segment? because Charlottes face said everything, she looked distraught.

3. Tiify Time March 2025.

Charlotte Flair has been involved in multiple segments over the years, that have gone off the rails, and her most recent happened during the build up to last years WrestleMania. From Tiffany Stratton bringing up issues within Flairs personal life. Charlotte claiming that Tiffany has a squeeky voice, to the the daughter of the Nature claiming that Tiffany's boyfriend Ludvig Kaiser has slid into Charlottes dm's. This stemmed from a segment came from an edition of Friday Night Smackdown, when Tiffany was set up against flair following a segment from the weeks Prior, when they were in Barcelona, and the pair had a side by side split screen segment. In which Charlotte went off script, to try and Pull Tiffany under. I remember watching this back, and I could tell that something wasn't right. But it did make for fascinating viewing.

2. Eddie Kingston And Cm Punk November 2021.

Some people say that this segment was well timed, but to me this was a deeply routed look at how annimousity can develop over decades. I remember when AEW aired this on Rampage, and as it went on. I got the sense that something wasn't quite right. Both men were bringing up real life heat from there days in ROH, and there delivery had a sense of anger, that had been missing in AEW Promos at this point. I think both men went off script, and it showed.

Hounarable Mentions.

The Rock Lambasts Cody Rhodes.

When you dig beneath the surface, and backstage politics that centred WrestleMania 40, the lead was created around how Dwayne failed to read the room. He came back and took Cody's spot in the main event in the show of shows. This led to a large fan backlash, put it was the following weeks that showed things go off the rails. The Rock would take on the role of the showman, as his Final Boss Character took centre stage. These promo segments would often over run, and take time away from other superstars, all Dwayne had to say was. What can I say except your welcome.

Belt Swap.

This took place on the draft edition of Friday Night Smackdown in october of 2021, and it was the famous belt swap segment between Charlotte Flair, and. Becky Lynch. This was due to hand the belt over to Becky, but instead she dropped it on the ring mat. This was dentred around the souring of the relationship between Lynch, and. Flair, who at one point were road friends.

Cowboy S***.

In june of 2022 just before AEW's relationship with NJPW would start to with the inaugaral Fordidden Door PPV. Cm Punk was due to headline it, defending his AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Jon Moxley, but just a few days beforehand Punk injured his foot, whilst jumping into the crowd. However during his time off, the issues between him and The Elite would elevate to a new level, so when he returned he called out Hangman Adam Page, calling him a coward for his workers rights promo from back in April of that year.

1. Workers Rights.

Some fans have pointed this segment, as the moment that AEW went off the rail. Backstage issues were being reported on by the likes of Dave Meltzer, and John Pollock, and this came to the forefront in April of 2022, when a planned segment between Cm Punk, and. Hangman Adam Page went of the rails, due to a misunderstanding, surrounding the time when Punk went on his then friend Colt Cobana's Podcast. If you know, this relationship went sour when Colt pulled alledged out of a lawsuit against WWE. Hangman thought that Tony had fired Punk on the orders of |Cm Punk, which turned out to not be true, because he was moved to ROH, after Tony Khan had purchased the fledgling promotion from Sinclair.

 AEW Dynamite Review 5.2.2026.

Intro.

Over the past few days, a lot has been said about AEW's handling of there next trip to the land of Oz, which is happening next weekend at the time of writing. From frustration at the venue, and how tricky it is to get to there, all the way down to how the show has been advertised. This to me, some people have read this as Tony Khan not learning his lesson, so this is my 5 pennies worth. Back in 2023, and 2024. I attended both All In shows at Wembley Stadium, and within 2 months, and six weeks before both shows. I went to see both Def Leppard, and. GreenDay at the same venue, and you couldn't move from both shows being advertised around the local area. I believe this was done by the concert promoter that AEW were working with, which on this occassion was Livenation. In Australia AEW's partner is Tickettek, which is owned by Ticketmaster, they might not have been given the green light when it comes to advertising. I get that the logistics aren't great, and the fact that they've learn't from one blunder, and read the analystics properly the second time around, does show that improvement has been made. Please bare in mind that this is just my opinion.

AEW Wrestlers Give Their Thoughts Ahead Of Putting In A Shift.

MJF. Brody King. Kenny Omega. TDCWO head Don Callis, and the Babes Of Wrath, gave us their thoughts on how this weeks Dynamite was going to go down. I do like these little things, because they take me back to my childhood, watching WWF superstars at my friends house. I can taste the pizza now, oh the memories.

Jon Moxley. Daniel Garcia, and. Pac vs Josh Alexander. El Clon, and. Konosuke Takeshista.

The term AEW Party Match is a phrase that gets thrown around way too often for my liking, and this outing although it was very good, didn't give me the standard vibes of a Mutiman Match. The Matches within the Match made sense, but they failed to elevate any sense of drama, yes the physicality was solid, and I enjoyed the Match, but all this did was make me wish for this Deathriders, and. Don Callis Family feud to just come to and end. The near falls came a bit too late for me, because Takeshita hit the raging fire on Pac for the win, all I could say was thank God, because yes the Match was good, but this feud is doing nothing for me. Jon will defend his Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita at GrandSlam Australia. Now Stroof that sounds like a ripper.

Will Osperay Return Tease.

We then got a update via the way of a Vingnette, highlighting the possible near return of Will Osperay. For those who may not know. Will underwent Neck Surgery last September, and has been TV ever since. I'm a massive fan of Wills, and want nothing but the best for him, so I think he should only come back when he's ready, and shouldn't be rushed. It's funny how this has aired, just when the talk of Wembley has started off with fans online.

Orange Cassidy, and. Timeless Toni Storm vs Jordan Oasis, and. Brittany Brooks.

Orange Cassidy, and. Timeless Toni Storm, beat. A man who likes fruit drinks, or he looks on things with a temper, and a lady who was obsessed with hair. I had fun with this as you can tell. The Match was a nothing encunter, but I guess that's the whole point. Cassidy, and. Toni took to the mic afterwards, and you could tell that these two were waiting to shame Lufer for being bald. With the insight of bodyshaming to oneside, this was an effective segment. Toni was Gold here. Hair vs Hair at GrandSlam Australia. I can't wait. I do like a good comedy Match. I'm just thinking what Wheeler Yuta would look with a shaved head.

The Wardogs Kidnap Darby Allin.

In the words of a famous British biscuit. If you like a lot of kidnapping with you're Pro Wrestling watch this show. The Wardogs, aka. Clarke Connors, and. Gabe Kidd Kidnapped Darby Allin, and took him for a nice day trip to the Nevada Desert, complete with a bodybag. I here it's quite nice at this time of year.

Hangman Adam Page vs Mark Davis.

I liked this. I didn't think that this would be any good, but, yeah this was good, and it had no right to be. This was a well booked TV expedition, that I think needed more time, but from the point of physicality I was pleased with what we got. Hangman got the win, and then cut a promo on MJF stating that he was going to kick him in the balls, and become the AEW World Heavyweight Champion at Revolution.

Kenny Omega vs Andrade El Idolo.

This was the Match of the night, and proves my point that AEW is on the up in the early stages of 2026. Many have said a lot of things about how kenny has got himself back into excellent health, and that shouldn't be taken for granted, but to me what I love about Kenny is his selling, and his ability to make you believe in his every move and near fall. this is what I have found more impressive. This Match verged on perfect TV booking. Andrade also looks great, and so far his second run with the company is going well, given the fact that his 1st run with the Jacksonville outlet was held at a low bar. I loved both mens chemistry last night, and you could sense that both men were frustrated with the situation that arose last September, after Andrade made his redebut. This felt like a do right for the fans. Kenny didn't get the win, but when you deep this, it's ok. Andrade El Idolo vs Hangman Adam Page is a solid piece of business, and it makes sense. Damn It Don Callis, has a lot to answer for doesn't he, oh, and hello Swerve Strickland. I liked he and Kenny from last week, so yes I would like some second helpings.

Babes Of Wrath vs Megabad AEW Womens Tag Team Championship Eliminator.

I liked this. I know that I normally have an issue with AEW Womens Matches, and at this point I must point out, that I've got no issue with the ladies, it's how they're booked that I can't stand. This match was decent, and it worked in order to give Megan Bayne, and. Penelope Ford the start of what could be a solid run, although I don't think that this is going to happen. Megabad is going to face The Babes Of Wrath again when AEW heads Down Under in 9 days time.

Old Man Ciampa Is Back People.

If you've ever needed proof that AEW officials watched the compettion during the Wednesday Wars, then here's your proof. Tony Khan loves Old man Ciampa. He's named his belt Sylvie. I have an aunt called Sylvie.

Jungle Jack Perry vs Ricochet AEW National Championship.

This was excellent. When this Match got confirmed I had my thoughts, and they weren't good, but this had me feeling suprised, because it's the things that you don't want, that leave you more fulfilled. These two just work so well together, and it just shows that if you give Mid Card talent a try, then they can come with the goods. This was no differant, as both carved out a decent Match. the last moments, and sequences came in, and this would play to how the Match ended from the distraction of GOA, getting taken out by Jacks Elite brothers The Young Bucks. Ricochet would then retain his belt. Ricochet has an interesting week hasn't he. I'm happy that he's found his love for Pro Wrestling again.

MJF vs Brody King AEW World Heavyweight Championship Championship Eliminator.

This was over way too quick, it made sense, and it was a fantastic piece of business. Hangman Adam Page came out, this allowed King to choke Maxwell, throw him into the corner, give him a rolling thunder bomb, and a Gonzo bomb for the win. MJF got squashed in less than 1.20 seconds. This was awesome, and when look at this from a keyfabe point of view. The one thing that we haven't seen from MJF in quite sometime is vunrebility, and is something that has been needed since his Cm Punk rivalry from 2022. He gave Hangman a low blow, after the Cowboy had fended off Andrade. This was incredible, as the episode long forshadowing came to a head. This was a great way to take the show off the air.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This was a steller edition of weekly TV, from the Steller in ring work, to some fantastic character development, that happened in the stunning Pearl At The Palms Casino And Resort in Las Vegas. As a massive UFC fan I was excited to see how Dynamite was going to look in this venue, and I was pleasantly pleased, because not only did the venue look great, but the Vegas fans were on one last night, in one of AEW's spiritual home states. AEW continues its strong form in early 2026, as the promotion heads into the build for Revolution.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 9/10.

AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 Review 25.5.26. Written By Patrick O'malley. Intro. As this year has gone on, and the Summer is slowly creep...
