 Top 5 Worst UFC Suspensions.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

In the real world, getting suspended from your job is one of the worst things that can happen to someone. In this list were going to be taking a look at the worst times the UFC, or the NASC has had to step when fighters do the worst things to there reputation. Sometimes it's how the fighters make amends through there comebacks, that pack a harder punch.

5. Anderson Silva.

Anderson was suspended by the Nevada Athletic State Commission after his fight against Nick Diaz at UFC 183. This came as a suprise at the time, but when you dig beneath the surface, it isn't. Anderson had spent over a year on the sidelines with a broken leg, after his second fight against Chris Weidman. The drug that he tested positive for was an anabolic steroid that has been banned in every sport. Anderson was fined, and his reputation never recovered as a result. Andersons suspension lasted for over a year, and he would lose to Michael Bisping in London upon his return.

4. Chris Leben.

When The Crippler was a full time member of the UFC Middleweight Division, his hands were seen as lethal, especially after when he beat Wanderlai Silva at UFC 132 in July of 2011. His next fight would be at UFC 138, in Birmingham UK. when he faced Mark Munoz, this would also be one of his last appearances for the Las Vegas Promotion. Chris would be suspended after this, when he tested positive for an anabolic steroid. Chris would leave the promotion in 2013. This would act as a cautionary tale, that needs to be told. Chris was a standout in the Middleweight Division, so this acted as a sad reminder to never throw away what you have earnt over time.

3. Sean Sherk.

This one is a bit baffling to me. Sean was stripped of his UFC Lightweight Championship after he beat Hermes Franca at UFC 73. He got suspended by the CASC after an investigation, this would lead to a lengthy battle to clear his name. He won the case, and was able to fight again. It was also alledged that he had to undergo a lie detector test. He would lose to BJ Penn at UFC 84, in the main event in a failed attempt to get his belt back. Penn called him out after he beat Joe Stevenson at UFC 80, in Newcastle UK. The thing that I find funny about this suspension is the fact the UFC, and other state commissions have suspended fighters for far less. I know what Sean did was wrong. I just feel that the same energy needs to shown. This is also a learning curb when it comes to proving someones innocence. Seans penalty was reduced from One year six months, and his financial penalty was reduced. Like I said before it's heavily rumoured that Sean underwent a lie detector test, and it came back that he was telling the truth, although it must be said that the accuracy of lie detector tests has been brought into question over the years.

2. Alistair Overeem.

This happened after he sent Brock Lesnar back to the WWE, when he beat the team Death Clutch member at UFC 141. He tested positive for an anabolic steroid. This was a blackeye in what was a solid career for the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion. His UFC career was a bit mixed in my opinion, and it never recovered after this. This suspension was handed down by the NASC after they found irregularity's with his test that happened before the fight, however this wouldn't be made public knowledge until April of 2012. His suspension would last until the January of 2013, and pulled him out of a planned title fight against the then Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos. I'm not a big fan of Alistairs. i've thought that his fight style was a tad overrated.

1. Nick Diaz.

Nate has been suspended by the NASC has suspended Nick twice. The first time that i'm going to focus on is the aftermath of UFC 143 when he lost to Carlos Condit for the UFC Interim Welterweight Championship. He tested positive for Marijuna metabolites. The Stockton native was out of action for over a year as a result of this, and had to hand over 30 percent of his fight purse. This was the second time that Diaz faced a suspension from the NASC, he was given a six month suspension 2007, after he Takanori Gomi at Pride 33 in Las Vegas, when the promotion went to Las Vegas on the Febuary 24th of that year. Nick was also suspended in Febuary of 2015 after he lost to Anderson Silva at UFC 183, however this Match got thrown out after both men turned in failed tests.

Overview Of This Piece.

Over the years the UFC has had to abide by what the various global athletic commissions go by, and there word is final. When suspensions get handed out, there normally is a seed of doubt when it comes to public perception, so this piece was written with the aim of educating fans in what has happened to some fighters over the years. This piece wasn't written about how to cheat, neither does it condone cheating. I wrote this as a way of looking how punishments can lead to confusion in the public eye.

My Top Thoughts From This Weeks Monday Night 10.2.2026.

Intro.

You guys are going to have to excuse me if I sound a bit grumpy. This is due to the fact that i've given up full fat crisps, for the time being. I might sound a bit tired at the minute, because of a lack of crisps, but my god I think that higher ups in WWE are worse. There seems to be a bit of a negative pull when it comes to HHH's booking. I know that this surrounding the build to WrestleMania. I'm currently enjoying elements of WWE, whilst I do think that somethings need ironing out. I get that fan preception isn't great at the moment, but this comes under what I always say. Like what you like guys, because were all differant.

Bron Breakker Is Out For The Forceable.

Yesterday it was reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, that Bron Breakker is now injured, and is now out of WrestleMania. This is a massive blow. Just look at it this way. You work all year to get to the ultimate destination, and this happens, you hear that you have to undergo surgery, sometimes life isn't fair.

Becky Lynch Segment.

Oh my. Can you say petchulant child. My friend has a three year old daughter, and she acts like this when she doesn't get her own way. I'm the best behaved everyone says it. Becky saw AJ Lee turn up with Cm Punk, and she wasn't happy. Becky came straight out to kick the show off, and after she did her regular schpeel, out came AJ. Both Ladies had a great promo, and it felt like we were watching the old AJ again from 2013, when she was delivering on the mic. Becky's unhinged side of her character came out, and it was great to watch. Becky challenged AJ to a Match at Elimination Chamber, but on one condition, if she puts her Intercontinental Championship on the line. Becky agreed to this. I liked this way of booking, the champion setting the Match is a smart way to look at how this Match should play out at Elimination Chamber. I thought that we were going to get this at Mania, but this could be a direct look at how HHH's version of 50/50 booking. This sounds interesting.

The Usos vs The Alpha Academy WWE Mens Tag Team Championship.

I thought this was a play by the way TV Match, that went nowhere. The Uso's retained, ok Look I love Jey Uso, but I just feel like he's gone backwards teaming back up with his brother. I want to see WWE do a reset on his Main Event Character, because the babyface act that he's working, is just that it's not working.

Rhea Ripley vs Ivy Nile vs Lyra Valkyria Womens Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I didn't like this. I don't know about you guys, but I thought this felt a bit phoned in, with the added extra of clunkyness. PLus WWE gave away the winner when they showed Rhea's entrance, and not Ivy's, and. Lyras. I hate when WWE do this, because even though I get that WWE need to make the winner look dominant, but this takes away the element of suprise to the viewer. Please don't do this WWE.

Honourable Mention.

Stephanie Vaquer Slaps Dirty Dominik Mysterio.

I cried laughing watching this. I mean wouldn't you when watching this Love cheat getting what's his. Good on you Stephanie.

Dishonourable Mention.

Maxxine Dupri vs Nattie.

I have a question for you guys. What is a nattie, is she a badass WWE version of a UFC fighter? Or is she a videogame character from a supermarket bargain bin? So many questions that WWE will never answer.

Finn Balor interrupts Cm Punks Segment.

This was excellent. Finn was on fine form here, as he laid his thoughts bare when it came to Roman Reigns, and. Cm Punk, and just like that we were off to the races. Finn spoke with passion, fire, and, grace, and it's refreshing to see. He said that he wants to face Punk again, this time at Elimination Chamber in Punks hometown of Chicago. This brought Adam Pearce, and our GM The Scrap Daddy, said that this isn't how things were going to go down, and just like that enter stage left Cm Punk. This was awesome, as security tried to keep these two seperate Punk agreed to the Match, much to the annoyance of Pearce. Security got Finn out from the building, and. Punk had an in ring segment with Michael Cole. Michael asked the question that I had on my mind since Finn left the ring. Why would he jeopordise the Mania main event, and he said that this is because he wants to be a fighting champion, because this is his passion, and there's nothing that Roman can do about it. I know that this style of booking isn't for everyone, but to me this was the highlight, on what was a decent Monday Night Raw.

Top 5 Times WWE Storylines Hit lightning In A Bottle.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

Over my vast thirty years of Watching Pro Wrestling, there are many moments that a Promotion has hit lightning in a bottle. AEW for example has only been in existance for seven years, and they've already carved out a nache for themselves in the TV/ and Pro Wrestling landscape, but what about the market leader. WWE has been in business for nearly seventy years, so the big question is how many times have they caught the attention of the fans, and the wider world. This is my look at how many times WWE has caught lightning in a bottle.

5. The Yes Movement.

In 2010 the WWE debuted it's NXT brand under the guise of a gameshow, and one of the participants was the former ROH standout Daniel Bryan. He quickly became a fan favourite amongst hardcorists, and got over instantly. As time went on fans became more on his side, this lead to 2013, and how his booking was handled. Take your min back to 2013. The WWE was going a resurgance coming off the back of WrestleMania 28, the year before. In 2013 Bryan would captivate the fans as his yes movement took shape, from the past three years. It was clear that WWE had something special on there hands, but the big question was how would WWE handle this? Well not very well, at Summerslam 2013, Bryan beat John Cena to become the WWE champion, but he instantly lost it when Randy Orton, after he cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase. This would anger fans. At the time the thought process from most fans on the internet felt like WWE weren't listening to their fans, and it could show in the product. January 2014 was an interesting time for the Greenwich Conneticut Promotion, as Cm Punk quit the company the day after that years Royal Rumble, stating non healing injuries, and arguments with higher ups over bad creative. This would be the theme when Punk sat down with his old friend Colt Cobana, on his now infamous appearance on the art of Pro Wrestling Podcast. Many Mania plans got changed off the back of this. Daniel was then put in the main focus, as fan voices got louder, and louder. This would lead to the rd to WrestleMania 30, and Daniel and his fans creating one of the best moments in Monday Night Raw history. Occupy Raw is one of those gold moments that you want to relive again, and, again.

4. Oooooooh Yeah.

The year was 1985, and the WWE had introduced to WrestleMania to the masses. Event though I think this Mania doesn't hold up when you look at by todays standards. There is one thing did come from the back of it. The rise of Randy Savage. Between the time of 1985-1994 Randy was used as the guy to run the company from a promotional stand point on multiple occassions. In 1988 he beat. Ted Bibiase to become the WWF Champion at WrestleMania 4, and a year later he would beat Hulk Hogan at Mania 5, in one of the most personal, and viscerile rivalry's that the WWF commitied to air during this decade. This struck a cord with fans, and the then WWF captilised on that fact.

3. JR Sit Down Interviews.

For this entry we going to be looking at three moments. The first one is from may 1997. JR sat down with Mick Foley, as his Mankind character, this was a stunning piece of TV, the segment worked to get the fledgling character over. Mick was becoming a fan favourite, and this segment made him a star. The next one came in the summer of 1999. HHH sat down with JR to get his thoughts  out on a segment that went out on Monday Night Raw. I loved this segment at the time, and I still watch it today, as it unfolds the rules of Keyfabe for all , and it's gripping to see. Take yourself back to March of 2001. Buffy The Vampire Slayer was rumoured to be getting Cancelled. Linkin Park was storming up the album charts with there debut Album Hybrid Theory, and WCW was on the verge of closing it's doors for good. The Raw Is War go home show before Mania 17, was a hot one, from the aspect of being a simulcast. Raw was in Cleveland Ohio, whilst WCW Nitro was in Panama City, this would be the last broadcast in WCW history, as the WWE had bought them out. On the same broadcast JR sat down with The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. And what happened was a TV segment masterpiece. Now all this needs was some added Limp Bizkit. Because it's Okay, to want to do things My Way. These were priceless moments.

2. Austin 3.16.

Superstars have come and gone, and eras have passed since, with the likes of John Cena. Roman Reigns, and. Randy Orton trying to take the mantle, however none of them can Match up in terms of sales, and it comes to Stone Cold Steve Austin. 1996, was a bad time for the then WWF, as it was going through a bad time from a creative standout. They were failing to create new stars, as WCW Nitro was starting to lead in the ratings when June of 1996 was starting off. In that month the WWF hosted its annual PPV King Of The Ring. Steve had just beaten Jake Roberts in the final, and he then delivered the Promo that kick started his legendary WWF Babyface run. This is considered one of the best Promos to ever grace Pro Wrestling. The sparks then flew, and my word it was awesome.

Honourable Mentions.

Ronda Rousey's Rookie Year.

Ronda's relationship with WWE these days isn't in a good place for multiple reasons, but this run was eic.

Viva La Razza.

The life of Eddie Guererro was cut short in November of 2005, after he suffered a heart attack alone in a hotel room. But his promos, before he faced Brock Lesnar, at No Way Out 2004, and after showed the higher ups in WWE at the time, that they had another Main event talent, that understood the path of redemption, and he  succeeded in it's path.

1. HBK vs The Best There Is, The Best There Was, And The Best There Ever Will Be Mania Press Conference.

The path to Glory runs in pain, and personal annymousity, these are words that easily can be said about how Shawn Michaels, and. Bret Hart felt about each other during 1995-1996, and beyond. The moment these two had to stand and talk before Mania 12, at a Press Conference. This would lead to the Ironman Match that would set the standards for WWE going into the final years of the decade. I'm not the biggest fan of this Match by todays standards, but when you take a look at the business model that the WWF had back in 1996, it was vital for this Match to happen, as real life feelings boiled over onto weekly TV.

Friday Night Smackdown Review 7.2.2026.

Written by Patrick O'malley

Intro.

I was asking a friend of mine lately, who's also a big Pro Wrestling fan, and I asked her a question. I said is this the best time to be a WWE fan? And her answer was swift. Well, What do you think? and at that point I knew that she was right. I love the rd to WrestleMania. There's just something unpredictable about this build, because you never know what twists and turns this course of creative is going to take. Roman vs Punk, and the looming threat of that three way, between Cody. Drew, and. Jacob, this WrestleMania season is starting to shape up just nicely.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Tiffany Stratton. Lash Legend. Nia Jax. Randy Orton, and. Solo Sikoa were seen showing up to the venue.

Drew Mcintyre Segment.

Drew Mcintyre was given the walk through treatment, but before he could get to the ring, he was attacked by Cody Rhodes. Security had to pull these two apart. Cody then took to the mic. His passion is infectious. I understand that Mr Rhodes is starting to annoy a lot of fans, but ask me this. Name me another superstar who's this passionate, because I think that Cody is the definition of that word. He talked about local pride, and then said that his nickname was Raheem, and just like that my mind goes straight to football. So Cody is nick named after a washed up former Man City player. This was an excellent way to start the show. This would also be an episode long storythread.

Rhiyo vs Giulia And Kiana James WWE Womens Tag Team Championships.

I'm starting to like the team of Iyo Sky, and. Rhea Ripley. They took a while, but they're now growing on me. This outing on paper didn't look very good, but after watching it this. I can honestly say that i've never been more happy to be wrong. This was a well booked TV Match, that saw the champs retain. The chemistry that was on display was excellent.

The Miz vs Carmelo Hayes.

Ok guys. This Match wasn't great, but it does get a pass because it's the year of The Miz, ( hoooooooooooooooorah ) so this gets a pass. Carmelo got the win.

Tacky Time. Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend vs Tiffany Stratton Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I have to say it. God bless you Chelsea Green. This segment with her, Alba Fyre, and. Tiffany Stratton was pure comedic gold. She then lost to Tiffany Stratton, and. Lash Legend in what was a great bit of business when you look at how the Elimination Chamber is shaping up.

Kit Wilson Segment.

I don't like what WWE are doing with Kit Wilson. I know i'm one fan in a big see of fans who dosen't like this, but when you take a look at the world at the moment. The internet is full of these types of people. Thank God for Oba Femi, and his need to wreck people like Ralph, because this was great. R Truth loved this. Damien Priest I'm not too sure about, and we all know what Drew Mcintyre is thinking.

Drew Mcintyre Segment.

Drew tried to speak again, but this time he was attacked by Jacob Fatu. These two need to have a face without Cody, because I don't think that Jacob hasn't been tested on the mic.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Tama Tonga.

This was flat. I don't know what else to say, because the fans that were in attendence sounded tired. Tama got the win. This Match is one of the many problems when you run a 3 hour show.

Johnny Gargano Segment.

Fraxiom, and. The Motorcity Machine Gunns were having fun at Johnny Garganos expense. I think I can some it up. I'm a massive fan of Greenday, and to quote there lyrics. Nobody likes him. Tomasso has left him, he's moved to AEW, and is having fun.

Liv Morgan Segment.

I didn't like this. From something that had promise, to a segment that turned into a promotrain. Liv put herself over, whilst Raquel looked pissed off after what happened last Monday, and don't get me started on the Royal Rumble last weekend. This years ladies winner was interrupted by Jade Cargill, after Liv put over her love for the Toby Maguire Spiderman Films. Jade was then interrupted by Jordynne Grace, and this prompted Nick Aldis to put these ladies in an Impromptu Match. From clunky booking, to my outrage surrounding  bad execution of the Match, that did nothing for me. Jade, and. Jordynne got the win, after Jade accidentally kicked her partner in the face. Jade will face Jordynne next week for the WWE Womens Championship.

Everyone Loves Sami Zayn.

Now I don't know about you guys, but I love Sami Zayn. Everyone loves Sami Zayn. Rey Fenix loves Sami Zayn. Trick Williams on the other hand, yeah, not so much.

Drew Mcintyre Finally Talks.

From giving those who came before him respect, ( except for Dusty Rhodes ) him giving his thoughts on what transpired on Monday Night Raw, between Cm Punk, and. Roman Reigns, and his interaction with Trick Williams, this, for a TV segment was perfect. I loved this. No notes.

Randy Orton vs Solo Sikoa vs Alestair Black Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

This was good. In Keyfabe this had no right to be as good as it was, but for a WWE tv Match, this was solid. I didn't agree with Randy getting the win, because I think that this would've suited Alestair a bit more, and at this stage in Ortons career, I don't think that the booking has done him favours here, because a gimmick like The Elimination Chamber should be used as a test for underutilised talent. I know that not many people will agree with me, but this is just my opinion.

Overview of  WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown was a joy to watch, on a Saturday Morning with a round of Bacon Sandwiches. The in-ring work was solid, as my excitement for this years WrestleMania starts to grow. Keep this up WWE.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a high 7/10.

Top 5 Times Pro Wrestling Promos Went Off The Rails.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

Keeping things on track is one of the most important things in the Pro Wrestling business, and whilst wrestlers take the fans on a journey through storytelling, they have to maintain a level of professionalism, but what happens when that Professionalism becomes personal, and in some areas become difficult to watch. These are the moments that have made Pro Wrestling fans squirm, for all of the wrong reasons. So sit back, and get a drink, and give this list a read.

5. Sunny Days May 1997.

This to this day remains one of those moments in Pro Wrestling, that most fans still talk about, because of just how personal things got between Shawn Michaels, and. Bret The Hit Man Hart. It's well documented how much how these two hated each other in the period of 1995 to 1997, the annimousity between these two had become so heated that physical brawls would happen, with Pat Patterson getting caught in the middle. This segment took place on the 19th of May 1997 edition of  Raw Is War. At the time this segment blurred the lines between fiction, and keyfabe. Shawn in recent years has come out and said that he regretted his actions. Shawn was going through his own issues at the time. Instigating the thoughts that someone is having an affair isn't big or clever.

4. Reid Flair November 2015.

This one might've been scripted, but it took the fans by suprise. This aired on WWE TV's flagship show Monday Night Raw, during a in ring segment between Paige, and. Charlotte Flair, were Paige could be heard saying the words. Your little Brother didn't have much fight in him did he. This segment was highly controversial, as it brought up the real life death of Charlotte's brother Reid, who passed away in April of 2013 from a drug overdose. I remember watching this when it aired, and the first thing that went through my head was, who ok'd this segment? because Charlottes face said everything, she looked distraught.

3. Tiify Time March 2025.

Charlotte Flair has been involved in multiple segments over the years, that have gone off the rails, and her most recent happened during the build up to last years WrestleMania. From Tiffany Stratton bringing up issues within Flairs personal life. Charlotte claiming that Tiffany has a squeeky voice, to the the daughter of the Nature claiming that Tiffany's boyfriend Ludvig Kaiser has slid into Charlottes dm's. This stemmed from a segment came from an edition of Friday Night Smackdown, when Tiffany was set up against flair following a segment from the weeks Prior, when they were in Barcelona, and the pair had a side by side split screen segment. In which Charlotte went off script, to try and Pull Tiffany under. I remember watching this back, and I could tell that something wasn't right. But it did make for fascinating viewing.

2. Eddie Kingston And Cm Punk November 2021.

Some people say that this segment was well timed, but to me this was a deeply routed look at how annimousity can develop over decades. I remember when AEW aired this on Rampage, and as it went on. I got the sense that something wasn't quite right. Both men were bringing up real life heat from there days in ROH, and there delivery had a sense of anger, that had been missing in AEW Promos at this point. I think both men went off script, and it showed.

Hounarable Mentions.

The Rock Lambasts Cody Rhodes.

When you dig beneath the surface, and backstage politics that centred WrestleMania 40, the lead was created around how Dwayne failed to read the room. He came back and took Cody's spot in the main event in the show of shows. This led to a large fan backlash, put it was the following weeks that showed things go off the rails. The Rock would take on the role of the showman, as his Final Boss Character took centre stage. These promo segments would often over run, and take time away from other superstars, all Dwayne had to say was. What can I say except your welcome.

Belt Swap.

This took place on the draft edition of Friday Night Smackdown in october of 2021, and it was the famous belt swap segment between Charlotte Flair, and. Becky Lynch. This was due to hand the belt over to Becky, but instead she dropped it on the ring mat. This was dentred around the souring of the relationship between Lynch, and. Flair, who at one point were road friends.

Cowboy S***.

In june of 2022 just before AEW's relationship with NJPW would start to with the inaugaral Fordidden Door PPV. Cm Punk was due to headline it, defending his AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Jon Moxley, but just a few days beforehand Punk injured his foot, whilst jumping into the crowd. However during his time off, the issues between him and The Elite would elevate to a new level, so when he returned he called out Hangman Adam Page, calling him a coward for his workers rights promo from back in April of that year.

1. Workers Rights.

Some fans have pointed this segment, as the moment that AEW went off the rail. Backstage issues were being reported on by the likes of Dave Meltzer, and John Pollock, and this came to the forefront in April of 2022, when a planned segment between Cm Punk, and. Hangman Adam Page went of the rails, due to a misunderstanding, surrounding the time when Punk went on his then friend Colt Cobana's Podcast. If you know, this relationship went sour when Colt pulled alledged out of a lawsuit against WWE. Hangman thought that Tony had fired Punk on the orders of |Cm Punk, which turned out to not be true, because he was moved to ROH, after Tony Khan had purchased the fledgling promotion from Sinclair.

 AEW Dynamite Review 5.2.2026.

Intro.

Over the past few days, a lot has been said about AEW's handling of there next trip to the land of Oz, which is happening next weekend at the time of writing. From frustration at the venue, and how tricky it is to get to there, all the way down to how the show has been advertised. This to me, some people have read this as Tony Khan not learning his lesson, so this is my 5 pennies worth. Back in 2023, and 2024. I attended both All In shows at Wembley Stadium, and within 2 months, and six weeks before both shows. I went to see both Def Leppard, and. GreenDay at the same venue, and you couldn't move from both shows being advertised around the local area. I believe this was done by the concert promoter that AEW were working with, which on this occassion was Livenation. In Australia AEW's partner is Tickettek, which is owned by Ticketmaster, they might not have been given the green light when it comes to advertising. I get that the logistics aren't great, and the fact that they've learn't from one blunder, and read the analystics properly the second time around, does show that improvement has been made. Please bare in mind that this is just my opinion.

AEW Wrestlers Give Their Thoughts Ahead Of Putting In A Shift.

MJF. Brody King. Kenny Omega. TDCWO head Don Callis, and the Babes Of Wrath, gave us their thoughts on how this weeks Dynamite was going to go down. I do like these little things, because they take me back to my childhood, watching WWF superstars at my friends house. I can taste the pizza now, oh the memories.

Jon Moxley. Daniel Garcia, and. Pac vs Josh Alexander. El Clon, and. Konosuke Takeshista.

The term AEW Party Match is a phrase that gets thrown around way too often for my liking, and this outing although it was very good, didn't give me the standard vibes of a Mutiman Match. The Matches within the Match made sense, but they failed to elevate any sense of drama, yes the physicality was solid, and I enjoyed the Match, but all this did was make me wish for this Deathriders, and. Don Callis Family feud to just come to and end. The near falls came a bit too late for me, because Takeshita hit the raging fire on Pac for the win, all I could say was thank God, because yes the Match was good, but this feud is doing nothing for me. Jon will defend his Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita at GrandSlam Australia. Now Stroof that sounds like a ripper.

Will Osperay Return Tease.

We then got a update via the way of a Vingnette, highlighting the possible near return of Will Osperay. For those who may not know. Will underwent Neck Surgery last September, and has been TV ever since. I'm a massive fan of Wills, and want nothing but the best for him, so I think he should only come back when he's ready, and shouldn't be rushed. It's funny how this has aired, just when the talk of Wembley has started off with fans online.

Orange Cassidy, and. Timeless Toni Storm vs Jordan Oasis, and. Brittany Brooks.

Orange Cassidy, and. Timeless Toni Storm, beat. A man who likes fruit drinks, or he looks on things with a temper, and a lady who was obsessed with hair. I had fun with this as you can tell. The Match was a nothing encunter, but I guess that's the whole point. Cassidy, and. Toni took to the mic afterwards, and you could tell that these two were waiting to shame Lufer for being bald. With the insight of bodyshaming to oneside, this was an effective segment. Toni was Gold here. Hair vs Hair at GrandSlam Australia. I can't wait. I do like a good comedy Match. I'm just thinking what Wheeler Yuta would look with a shaved head.

The Wardogs Kidnap Darby Allin.

In the words of a famous British biscuit. If you like a lot of kidnapping with you're Pro Wrestling watch this show. The Wardogs, aka. Clarke Connors, and. Gabe Kidd Kidnapped Darby Allin, and took him for a nice day trip to the Nevada Desert, complete with a bodybag. I here it's quite nice at this time of year.

Hangman Adam Page vs Mark Davis.

I liked this. I didn't think that this would be any good, but, yeah this was good, and it had no right to be. This was a well booked TV expedition, that I think needed more time, but from the point of physicality I was pleased with what we got. Hangman got the win, and then cut a promo on MJF stating that he was going to kick him in the balls, and become the AEW World Heavyweight Champion at Revolution.

Kenny Omega vs Andrade El Idolo.

This was the Match of the night, and proves my point that AEW is on the up in the early stages of 2026. Many have said a lot of things about how kenny has got himself back into excellent health, and that shouldn't be taken for granted, but to me what I love about Kenny is his selling, and his ability to make you believe in his every move and near fall. this is what I have found more impressive. This Match verged on perfect TV booking. Andrade also looks great, and so far his second run with the company is going well, given the fact that his 1st run with the Jacksonville outlet was held at a low bar. I loved both mens chemistry last night, and you could sense that both men were frustrated with the situation that arose last September, after Andrade made his redebut. This felt like a do right for the fans. Kenny didn't get the win, but when you deep this, it's ok. Andrade El Idolo vs Hangman Adam Page is a solid piece of business, and it makes sense. Damn It Don Callis, has a lot to answer for doesn't he, oh, and hello Swerve Strickland. I liked he and Kenny from last week, so yes I would like some second helpings.

Babes Of Wrath vs Megabad AEW Womens Tag Team Championship Eliminator.

I liked this. I know that I normally have an issue with AEW Womens Matches, and at this point I must point out, that I've got no issue with the ladies, it's how they're booked that I can't stand. This match was decent, and it worked in order to give Megan Bayne, and. Penelope Ford the start of what could be a solid run, although I don't think that this is going to happen. Megabad is going to face The Babes Of Wrath again when AEW heads Down Under in 9 days time.

Old Man Ciampa Is Back People.

If you've ever needed proof that AEW officials watched the compettion during the Wednesday Wars, then here's your proof. Tony Khan loves Old man Ciampa. He's named his belt Sylvie. I have an aunt called Sylvie.

Jungle Jack Perry vs Ricochet AEW National Championship.

This was excellent. When this Match got confirmed I had my thoughts, and they weren't good, but this had me feeling suprised, because it's the things that you don't want, that leave you more fulfilled. These two just work so well together, and it just shows that if you give Mid Card talent a try, then they can come with the goods. This was no differant, as both carved out a decent Match. the last moments, and sequences came in, and this would play to how the Match ended from the distraction of GOA, getting taken out by Jacks Elite brothers The Young Bucks. Ricochet would then retain his belt. Ricochet has an interesting week hasn't he. I'm happy that he's found his love for Pro Wrestling again.

MJF vs Brody King AEW World Heavyweight Championship Championship Eliminator.

This was over way too quick, it made sense, and it was a fantastic piece of business. Hangman Adam Page came out, this allowed King to choke Maxwell, throw him into the corner, give him a rolling thunder bomb, and a Gonzo bomb for the win. MJF got squashed in less than 1.20 seconds. This was awesome, and when look at this from a keyfabe point of view. The one thing that we haven't seen from MJF in quite sometime is vunrebility, and is something that has been needed since his Cm Punk rivalry from 2022. He gave Hangman a low blow, after the Cowboy had fended off Andrade. This was incredible, as the episode long forshadowing came to a head. This was a great way to take the show off the air.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This was a steller edition of weekly TV, from the Steller in ring work, to some fantastic character development, that happened in the stunning Pearl At The Palms Casino And Resort in Las Vegas. As a massive UFC fan I was excited to see how Dynamite was going to look in this venue, and I was pleasantly pleased, because not only did the venue look great, but the Vegas fans were on one last night, in one of AEW's spiritual home states. AEW continues its strong form in early 2026, as the promotion heads into the build for Revolution.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 9/10.

WWE Monday Night Raw Review. 3.2.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley/

Bron Breakker Opening Segment.

Bron Breakker opened up the show, by walking around the ringside area in a pissed off manner, and wrecked the announcers desk. Bron then took to the mic, and called out Adam Pearce. The Vision came out, and tried to get him away, only to then be met by Adam Pearce, and a wall of security. Paul Heyman tried to calm down proceedings, but this only made things worse as Adam put the seed of doubt in Brons head, when it came to who attacked him at the Royal Rumble. Bron left the ring and tried to make a bee line for Pearce, but this was when LA Knight struck from behind, and attacked The Vision. This would be a storythread throughout the show, that I just wanted to end, because HHH has an obsession with black hoodies. I wasn't a fan of this at all.

Superstars Seen Turning Up For Work.

Liv Morgan. Stephanie Vaquer, and. Gunther, were all seen showing up to work. More on Gunther later.

Jevon Edwards vs Elgrande Americano.

I liked this. The in-ring work felt fluid, and the booking worked to both mens advantage. Jevon got the win, after the real Elgrande Americano came out, to stop the cheating, proving my point that cheating in life gets you nowhere.

JellyRoll Is A Grammy Award Winner.

JellyRoll won three Grammy's on Sunday, and you know what, they're well deserved, because Beautifully Broken is awesome. JellyRoll has been one of my favourite artists over the past few years, and it's great seeing him have so much success, because it shows that if you put your mind to something, then you can achieve anything.

Gunther Segment.

I loved this. AJ Styles music played in the arena, and I was sucked in, but it was just Gunther playing the role of the ultimate troll. This hole segment was special. Gunther has been one of my favourite things In WWE at this moment, and it showed last night. Gunthers promo was cut off by Dragon Lee, and this didn't end well for the fiery one. Gunther smacked with the ring bell, and then proceeded to choke him out. I loved this segment.

The War Raiders Get Wrecked.

If you're going to call up Oba Femi to the main roster, then this is how you do it, make him look dominant. Oba destroyed The War Raiders with pure ease.

Finn Balor Wants Gold.

We then got a vingnette for Finn Balor, and he wants Gold. I liked his Match against Cm Punk in Belfast, so do I want second helpings, well yes. I do. This screams Elimination Chamber, and I can't wait to see it.

The Bellas Twins Segment.

This was brief, and it needed to be. The Bellas are back in the Womens Tag Team Division, and they want Gold. This is a clear look at the Booking long term heading into WrestleMania. It's been rumoured that at Mania there's going to be an 8 Woman Tag Team TLC Match, to mark the 25th anniversary of the second TLC Match, that took place at WrestleMania 17. I think this is a strong possibility at this point. Oh and the Brie Mode theme entrance makes my Dog Jane's ears hurt. She rid under my mums bed when she heard it.

Comedians On Raw.

Maxxine Dupri is going to Snap Natties ANKLE when they meet next week, and the Bert Kreischer, and Alpha Academy crossover was woefully unfunny. OK Netflix please stop using comedians to sell unfunny specials on my Pro Wrestling show.

Bronson Reed vs Penta.

I've got to say it. I didn't hate this. The Match wasn't very good, and the outcome felt a bit forced, but this was entertaining, and the fact that LA Knight cut this short, and helped Penta get the win, had me laughing. I guess that you can say that Knights punishment is over, and when he got backstage, he wasn't shouted at.

Dirty Dom Is Back And Stephanie Vaquer vs Raquel Rodriguez WWE Womens Championship Philadelphia Street Fight Street.

Dirty Dominik Mysterio is back, and he welcomed out his partner in crime, and this years Womens Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan out to the ring. Liv said that she wasn't going to be rushed, and that she will be heading over Smackdown this Friday to scout out the competition. She introduced her partner Raquel Rodriguez, and. Raquel told Liv to Stay in the back tonight, when she faces Stephanie Vaquer, after the fact that Liv eliminated her out of the Royal Rumble, this past weekend. What do you get if you add. Chairs. Tables. Kendo Sticks, and someone not listening? If you're answer was the Match of the night, then you would be correct. I liked this. From Stephanie Giving Raquel the devils kiss on a bed of steel chairs, and the ring steps. Raquel putting Stephanie through a table, to the Judgement day Ladies trying to run interference. This led to an awesome spot when Stephanie gave Raquel a Hurricanrana off the top rope, onto a table which looked awesome, because the table only partially broke. This would lead to Steph retaining her belt. Liv Morgan then attacked Stephanie in the aftermath, potentially setting up a Mania Match.

Roman Reigns And Cm Punk Segment.

I loved this. Last week Roman went on the Pat Mcafe show, and laid waste to WWE creative. This brought to light something that I had a feeling was going on behind the scenes for some time. There's a powershift going on in WWE. There's a theory that's going around of a creative struggle within WWE, and this segment just paid into this fact. Roman Reigns is a Dwayne The Rock Johnson Guy, whilst Cm Punk is a HHH guy, by the looks of things. This segment ignited the build to this years WrestleMania, with passion, fire, and. Grace. Both Roman, and. Punk and bounced off each other, and it was great to watch. This is box office, and this is the rd to WrestleMania, so strap yourself in, because this is going to be one hell of a ride. Many people online have praised this segment, and all I have to say is this. I can't get over the fact how awesome this segment was. It's easily one of the best segments WWE have produced in a long time.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

This weeks Monday Night Raw was a strong follow up to what was a divisive Royal Rumble, that I enjoyed. The In ring work went from ok to great, whilst the Promos set the ship for what's going to come, as we head further down the way on the rd to WrestleMania.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is a solid 8/10.

Top 5 Royal Rumble Moments That Live Rent Free In My Mind.

Intro.

It's no secret that this time of year, brings back so many memories from my childhood. From the times I used to go round my mates to watch this Annual event, cheering my Hero The Rock in the botched finish to the year 2000 Rumble, all the way to staying up late here in the uk to revel in the Rumbles glow. At one point the Royal Rumble was shown on Channel 4 in my country the UK, but this came with Problems thanks to May Young trying to cause me to go to therapy. This does start the rd to WrestleMania, and it does start off a certain Christmas time for Wrestling fans across the globe, but all moments have a starting point, and the Royal Rumble has had some awesome moments that live on for all the right and wrong reasons. So lets sit back and check out this top 5 list.

5. May Young Gets The WWF Cancelled On Channel 4.

I don't have many high opinions of Channel 4 these days, from ramming The Great British Bake Off down my throat. ( I love cake really ) The fact they have ruined most of the best ever American shows to ever exist, from The Simpsons to Smallville, due to cutting scenes for stupid reasons, and then there's how they treated the WWF in this time. The network had just become independent from ITV, and then they bought the writes to show Sunday Night Heat, and four PPV's a year. The debut event for the company was Royal Rumble 2000, an event that was eccessively violent in nature, with the added extra of May Young Stripping which is bad, but it's made worse when you see Jerry The King Lawler host the Bikini Contest. If you know, then you know. This would have a long lasting issue for Channel 4 when it comes to the WWF, and how it gets broadcast in the UK.

4. He Who Shall Not Be Named Takes A Trip.

Given everything that has been documented about how the former chairman of WWE's board felt with the botched finish to the Rumble Match, that saw John Cena and Batista both go over the top rope. He was so outraged that he stormed to the ring, and fell over on his way, and busting both quads behind his knees. Karma people it's a real thing, and I have watched this back time and time again, because if you do bad things, then bad things will fall on you.

3. Ronda Rousey Debuts.

The womens Royal Rumble had just come to an end, and then it happened, as the words I don't give a damn about my bad reputation echoed around the stadium. Rowdy Ronda Rousey was in the WWF, this came after fans in the UFC had become tired of her complaining, and being an all round controversial figure. I heard rumours about this happening, but I never thought that I would see it. This would start off one of the best debut years, for any performer in recent years. However Rondas time with the WWE would come to an end in 2023 after her contract came to an end. It has been said that Rousey wanted to go due creative decisions, and fall outs with upper management. She also went on record and accused Drew Gulak of serious misconduct, that him get released from the company.

2. Sami Zayn Turns On Roman Reigns.

The best part of HHH's booking in 2022 was Romans grooming of Sami Zayn, and as the aftermath of that years Survivor Series started to gain momentum, the talk went straight to the next PPV The Royal Rumble. Roman brought in Sami, and made him feel like family, when he wasn't. this is a simple grroming tac tic, and it worked, to the detriment of his own family, who were sick and tired of looking after an imposter. This led to The Trial Of Samy, one of Monday Night Raw's best ever segments to be committed to TV. at Raw XXX, at that point the Rumble was just under two weeks away. What came around the corner was awesome. The ending of Kevin Owens vs Roman was done, but Roman wanted Sami to take out his friend, after he stopped Roman from doing just that. It was then that Sami smacked Roman in the back, and just like that, the damage was done, and the world was left reeling. I loved all of this at the time, and as you can tell, it still lives rent free in my head.

1. Edge Returned.

It was rumoured, then it happened. This is one of those moments that if you could bottle it up, and sell it, then you would become an instant millionaire, and it would be well earnt. Back in 2011 in the build up to his Match at WrestleMania against Alberto Del Rio, there's a moment when Brodus Clay handles Edge, and his arms go limp, so the WWE asked him to go and get his neck checked out. He was told after Mania that he had to retire. The Pro Wrestling world was left in shock after this announcement on the Night after Mania Monday Night Raw, so flash forward eight years down the line, Edge was healthy again, and he had gone and got Neck surgery. He sphered Elias at Summerslam 2019 which was held in his hometown of Toronto, and this got fans talking, does he have one more Match in him. The numbers counted down from 25 to 29, and then it hit number 30, and just like that Metalingus by Alter Bridge boomed out from the pa system inside the Stadium. Edge was back, and the look on his face told a million stories. It's moments like this, that if you were in the stadium, or sat at home, that you know you're alive on this planet. This was simply glorious.

 WWE Royal Rumble 2026 Review.

Intro.

Agh yes the rd to Wrestlemania, and its many turning corners, and avenues. This, next to the summer is one of my favourite times of year to be a Pro Wrestling fan. It's unpredictable, and given how HHH looks to book Matches, I can see this years build acting like a learning curb from last year. 2025 wasn't a great year for the WWE on a creative front, so it's important to allow the product to have breathing space. This is what HHH has done this time around. Last years Royal Rumble Matches ranged from the predictable, to the suprising, so the question I have is this, how did this years fair in comparison? So sit back, get yourself a drink, and a snack, and lets find out.

Stadium Set Up.

The Saudi regime built this Stadium for one night, just for the Rumble, and then it's getting torn down. This is all I have to say. What is the point of this? The UFC did this when Abu Dhabi hosted UFC 112 back in 2010. I hated it then, and I don't like now. This could be damaging on an economic level.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Charlotte Flair. Alexa Bliss. The Judgement Day Ladies. Nia Jax. Lash Legend. Rhiyo. AJ Styles. Gunther. Drew Mcintyre. Sami Zayn. Jey Uso. Jacob Fatu. Jevon Evans. Cody Rhodes, and even HHH were all seen showing up for their shifts.

HHH Hype Video.

Can someone please explain to me like i'm a six year old, what was the point to this. I hate hype packages, and having a man who's growing widely hated amongst the fanbase f, worse than he was back in 2003 front it, isn't a good idea.

The Womens Royal Rumble.

HHH hasn't had the best time, when it comes to booking ladies Rumble Matches, this one was a lot better than last years. After the pacing issues were sorted out, what we were treated to, was an all fun run with solid Matches within the Match, and great looks at what could becoming in the future. The inbuilt storylines were woven well, as the in ring work remained at a solid pace. However if I could just one issue it's this, the drama failed to elevate until the final 20 minutes, this could be due to the fact the Match was too long coming in at over 73 minutes. NXT call ups. Kelani Jordan. Jacy Jayne. and. Sol Ruca all gave good accounts for themselves, as they added a sense of urgentcy when it came to how the Rumble came to an end. The final 3 were Tiffany Stratton. Sol Ruca, and. Liv Morgan. These ladies showed that they've got great chemistry, and when Sol Comes up to the main roster I want to see more of her interacting with Liv Morgan. It was Liv who was the last lady standing, and will go onto WrestleMania to face an opponent of her choosing. I liked this, because WWE felt the need to not feed us the same old outcome, and give us something fresh. Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer sounds alright doesn't it. I liked this.

AJ Styles vs Gunther.

It's not very often that I struggle for words, but given how this Match ended. I actually don't know what to say. I don't like the fact that this didn't get the main event slot, which showed in hindsight a lack of respect to AJ, but when you dig beneath the surface, it made sense. This is arguably one of the best WWE Matches so far this year. How do put a 25 year plus career into words? It's not easy, all I will say is this. AJ all the best. You came, you saw, and you were phenomanal. AJ got choked out by Gunther. In the aftermath of this Match. I went on X, and all I could see were comments saying that AEW is going to have a phenomanal year, this leads to think that I want to be proven wrong. I don't think that AJ will become All Elite, but it would make sense. AJ Styles vs Kenny Omega, or Will Osperay. How would either one of those Matches look like on the 30th of August at Wembley Stadium? This was excellent.

Sami Zayn vs Drew Mcintyre WWE Undisputed Championship.

I didn't like this, and it's not the fault of Drew, or Sami, it's all down to the positioning on the card. This should've followed the Ladies Rumble, because on an emotional level this wasn't a good idea, as in undermined what came before it. It's the Ric Flair and HBK arguement from WrestleMania 24 all over again. Both Drew, and. Sami worked hard to get the fans onside, after feeling the noise slump. Sami got a good reception, but the fans sounded burnt out after watching a legend go off into the distance. Drew got the win, and retained his championship. Some fans online have complained about the ending to this Match being weak, so to those, all I have to say is this. This is going to set up a larger arc in the future for Sami, heading into the WrestleMania 43 next year, so all is not lost, because I get the feeling that WWE have something big up their sleeves for Mr Zayn.

Mens Royal Rumble.

Online this years mens Rumble Match, has received some negative press, but I actually enjoyed it, let me explain. If you take a look at both the mens and ladies Rumbles, and hold them in isolation, you can see the prospects of both HHH/HBK's NXT Systems, for example in the ladies Matches, the likes of Iyo Sky. Rhea Ripley. Liv Morgan, and. Tiffany Stratton, were all insights of both mens vision, and when you take a look at the mens, this followed the same pattern, as. Jevon Edwards. Damien Priest. Roman Reigns, and. Oba Femi all had solid showings, as the inbuilt storylines came to light, as the Mania main event revealed itself. The inclusion of Brock Lesnar did lower the tone, but this was a passing moment, as the final stages saw. Gunther  throw Randy Orton out the ring, allowing Roman to target the big Austrian, and throw him over the top rope, and book his ticket to Mania. WWE are teasing another big thing for Roman, and the motion was laid bare last night. Some fans have said on X that this has haulted Gunthers Momentum, and i'm struggling to understand why. If anything this could ad an extra layer to his character as his bitter side comes out. I know i'm fantasy booking at this point, but i'm very intrigued with were WWE take Gunther next. I got why fans are angry with the outcome, however this is the start of the rd to wrestleMania, and I know that I can't talk for other fans, so i'm going to let this one play out.

Overview Of The Royal Rumble 2026 Riyadh.

I understand the fan frustration that has gone around online, but in my opinion, this has been one of HHH's best creative endeavours for some time, as it all comes in the form of what's going off from the back end of this show. Sami's 15 month run to the belt. Gunthers bitterside becoming his backbone, and the next phase for Roman Reigns, are all things to look forward too on the mens side, whilst the ladies have, the decay and infighting of The Judgement Day. The seperation of Alexa Bliss, and. Charlotte Flair, and the many main roster Matches for Sol Ruca off the back of her strong showing last night. Sol Ruca vs Bianca Belair when she's healthy sounds tasty. What i'm trying to say is this. If this version of WWE is what you like, then drink this in, and have as much as you want, and don't let anyone stop you. Pro Wrestling is something that is special when it's looked at through the eye of the beholder.

WWE Royal Rumble Riyadh 2026 is a high 8/10.

AEW Dynamite Review 29.1.2026.

Intro.

Apologies everyone. This iis because of the absense of content about this weeks Monday Night Raw. Even though I'm off this week from my day job. I haven't felt all that great. On Tuesday, and. Wednesday I came down with a cold, so Instead of writing fresh content. I was laid up in my bed with a copy of the last edition of Spiderman Miles Morales. This meant that I've had to miss writing about Monday Night Raw. Like I say all the time, you know that this doesn't sit with me, but when it comes to my own health, then that has to come first.

Kenny Omega vs Rocky Romero.

This was over two quick. Kenny Omega facing Rocky Romero takes me back to the glory days of NJPW, but this was a stark reminder that time can be very unkind. Kenny looked a bit slower last night. Whilst Rocky upon first glance looked unhappy. This showed in their work, which is something that I would normally enjoy, but watching last nights Match. I just felt that something was missing. Kenny got the win, and I was left completely bemused. The physicality was good, but watching this Match for the review that you're reading just felt like eating a pepperoni pizza, without the pepperoni. The aftermath however did bring things back around. Kenny takes to the mic, and is told that, he will face the winner of Swerve Strickland, and. Andrade El Idolo, next week when AEW heads back to Las Vegas. Kenny would touch upon facing ones that he loves, and those that he has had issues with. This brought Hangman Adam Page, who echoed this to a degree those sentiments, whilst reminding Kenny, that he's still around. Swerve Strickland then had his say, and this when things started to feel a bit two WWE for some fans to like, by looking at the internet this morning. He wants his shot once he gets passed Andrade El Idolo later on. Don Callis acted like the perfect foil to me, as Kenny chased him off to end this segment. I get the complaints that this segment went on a bit too long, and felt very WWE in its execution, but when I think about it, when WWE do this as a tactic. It feels like they've running this old joke for what feels like an eternity, and they don't get to the point quick enough. This one made sense, as it made the main event later on feel like it has some stakes. The Match like I said was  good, but over to quick.

Jon Moxley vs Ace Austin Continentla Qualifier.

This was another Match that needed more time. The in ring work was good, and this was a near perfectly booked TV Match. The work was fast paced, and both men worked hard to generate their chemistry, but it needed a few minutes longer. Jon got the win, and he was then attacked by davis and Doyle. I think that this is going to lead to Jon facing Kyle Fletcher at some point for the TNT Championship, but if that's the case then AEW need to get their skates, and start moving the chest pieces to make this happen.

Mark Briscoe vs El clon TNT Championship.

I liked this. Marks TNT Championship run has been very stop and start, but watching this felt like the start of something. The in-ring work went from solid, to break neck in pace with ease. As the action intensified the near falls added a sense that the near end was coming close, and when it did Mark got the win with his froggy bow finisher. In the aftermath Mark said that he would be a fighting champion, so he asked anyone to step up, so step forward a debuting Tomasso Ciampa, who came out, and gave Mark a kiss, this was his calling from there days in ROH, and oh my am I here for it. If you haven't seen there Matches from the early 2010's, then check them out because if you like Indy Pro Wrestling, then you're in for a treat.

TDCWO Segment.

Kazuchika Okada vs Kyle Fletcher at a later date. Yes please AEW this would be just lovely.

MJF Segment.

This was my favourite part of the show. I'm starting to enjoy MJF's second World Heavyweight Championship run. It feels like AEW have put the belt back on him because it needed a bit more juice, and so far it's working. He was on great form as always, as he went to town insulting the fans, and having a good time with Tazz on commentary, this segment truly got underway when he got Brody Kings music cut off. Max called him a follower and not a leader, because he tagged along with Malakai Black, and, Buddy Mathews. Brody then defended himself, by saying Max told him last week that he needs to beat a solid competitor, in order to face Max for his Heavyweight Championship, so he had a conversation with Tony Khan, and next week when AEW heads to the Pearl At The Palms in Las Vegas, he will face Max in a Title Eliminator Match. This card next week is starting to look very tasty indeed. I might stay up, and give it a watch live. I loved the bones of this segment.

The Old Young Bucks Are Coming Back.

The Old Young Bucks are back. I have a question for you guys Haven't they already dropped there old Money gimmick?

Thekla vs Kris Statlander AEW Womens Championship.

I liked this. When this got annnounced last week I had low expectations for this, but these ladies managed to get me onside. This Match was given plenty of time to breathe, and from how it played out, both ladies relished the oppotunity to take the Match by the horns and run with it. Statlander retained, as Megan Bayne, and. Penelope Ford watched on.

Jack Perry vs Ricochet.

Jack Perry vs Ricochet next week, oh well then go on AEW if you must. Las Vegas next week is looking awesome.

FTR vs Davis And Doyle.

I liked this. The Match took the same slot that the womens Match would normally get, and it made sense. The main point was to get the new team over, and it worked. Davis and Doyle are a team to watch out for. The physicality was good, and the Matches within the Match are a clear look at the future. Ftr Retained, oh and hello Deathriders. It's been reported that Jake Doyle got injured during the Match.

Orange Cassidy Segment.

Am I the only person who thinks that Timeless Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy vs Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta, sounds like a rather tasty affair?

Andrade El Idolo vs Swerve Strickland.

This was excellent. I loved watching this early this afternoon once I had run all my errands this morning. On my Pro Wrestling bingo card I did have this marked down, but I thought that AEW run this on a PPV, and not on free tv, but this is the predicament that we're now in. The physicality between both of these two had solid bursts that you don't always get in singles Matches. This made sense as this helped the Match when it came to pacing. In Keyfabe it's great to see Andrade back with a smile on his face, but I do think that if a lady giving me a kiss on a piece of paper would make anyone happy, so make that what you will. Swerve strickland threw everything at Andrade in the form of offence, and this recipucated by Andrade, who gave as good as he got. The final few minutes of the Match played out the way that I thought, and Andrade got the win, which means that he will face Kenny Omega next week, for a place in the Grandslam Australia Main Event. Ok i'm going to stay up, just for this Match.

MJF Segment.

As the air was clearing from the main event. Renee Paquette interviewed Max backstage, and lets just put it this way, he wasn't happy. Kenny Omega came and introduced himself, so he walked away. Andrade then stopped him and said that he wants his belt. Max carried on Walking, and got to his car, when he was stopped By Hangman Adam Page, who gave Max a stark warning, before Max drove off. This was an excellent way to end the show. I'm buzzing for AEW's main event scene at the moment.

Overview Of This Weeks AEW Dynamite.

AEW has continued its valure of good faith that they've built with fans, by starting off the year in a strong way, and even though some of the Matches needed a bit more time, this was a good show.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is another solid 8/10.

AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 Review 25.5.26. Written By Patrick O'malley. Intro. As this year has gone on, and the Summer is slowly creep...
