 Sunday Evening Smackdown Review.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

WWE manages to get fans talking with new Wrestlemania direction.

Intro.

No guys. You're eyes aren't deceiving you. I'm writing the Smackdown review on a Sunday evening, this is due to timing, so I could work in my day job, and get some things finalised. I've got big plans for the blog going as this year continues, so planning is key.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Jade Cargill. Drew Mcintyre, and, Rhea Ripley were seen showing up, whilst Cody was seen sat in the stands, sitting in a seat that he probably didn't have to pay for.

Randy Orton Segment.

The show kicked off, with Randy Orton wearing a new piece of hideous Merchandise, that screamed take my money, and where's my bank card. He opened up about how this would be his twentieth Mania, and I have to admit that this made me feel old. I was sixteen when Randy took part in his first Mania. I'm 39 now. Having Randy win the Elimination Chamber makes a lot of sense from a booking perspective even if fans may not want it. Randy spent more than 16 months on the sidelines with a back injury, that nearly put an end to the vipers career. Trick Williams then put a stop to proceedings, but before he could say the words Lemon Pepper Steppers, Randy shut him down with an RKO. I liked this.

Carmelo Hayes vs Dr Hijo Del Wagner Jnr United States Open Challenge.

I liked this. I have to admit that i'm not the biggest fan of AAA because i'm more of a CMLL guy, but this was a fun Match, and a good bit of business. Carmelo retained his belt.

Ilja Dragonov Segment.

Ilja Dragonov. Kit Wilson, and. The Miz were all in a segment together. I smell a threeway coming on.

Nick Aldis Segment.

Damien Priest is now in a Tag Team With R Truth, who looks great with a shaved head, and. Drew Mcintyre is doing Nick Aldis's head in. Sounds like a standard Friday Night for the Smackdown general manager. He reminds of a non controversial version of Rodney Dangerfield, because he gets no respect.

Irrestible Forces Tag Team Championship Celebration And Flair And Bliss vs Giulia and Kiana James.

Ididn't like either of these moments. The Celebration segment felt like booking from the He Who Shall Not Be Named play book. The dialogue that was exchanged from the start, and through to the Flair and. Bliss, and Giulia and Kiana all felt forced, and unbelievable From the concept to the end. This was badly scripted garbage. And the Flair and Bliss vs Giulia and Kiana James Match felt the wrath of the earlier segment, because the Match failed to get out of 1st gear. Flair and Bliss got the win.

JellyRoll Is Coming Back To Friday Nights.

JellyRoll is coming back to Friday Night Smackdown next week, to see his friend Randy Orton. I'm just going to say this. JellyRoll has seen a little bit of controversy over the past week thanks to his old friend Ryan Upchurch. Now I don't know all the details, but what I can gather, this sounds like a smear campaign. I'm on my man Jelly's side.

Sami Zayn Segments.

I'm starting to like what WWE are doing with Sami Zayn. His decent into a unhinged lunatic says that a heel turn is on the horizon. This interactions with Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes are a post Mania tease to keep your eyes on.

Tag Team Turmoil.

R Truth. And. Damien Priest, beat. The Motorcity Machine Gunns. Los Garza. Fraxiom, and. The Wyatt sic. in what was a fun TV Match. I'm not a big fan of these type of TV Match stips, but this one was good.

Jade Cargill And Rhea Ripley Segment.

I loved this. It has been reported by multiple Pro Wrestling Media outlets this week that Rhea, and. Jade didn't like each other, and the commentary team of Michael Cole, and. Wade Barrett played into this, and it worked. You could tell that both ladies were holding back so that they could do business, and this made for some fantastic TV. I still think this Match could be a misfire, but  the ladies were excellent here.

Johnny Gargano Segment.

Johnny Gargano, is going back to his old gimmick. Johnny wrestling, it's just a shame that Oba Femi then murdered him. Oh well I guess.

Danhausen Segment.

Danhausen being coached by The Miz. Hah i'm laughing already. Now can someone get Danhausen that blimp that he wants, because that would be very nice, very blimpy.

Cody Rhodes vs Drew Mcintyre WWE Championship.

This was a plodding, and lofi affair, that just felt like it was just going through the motions. The in ring work was decent, but it also felt like a safe bet being played out on TV, as imitation became the best form of flattery. Cody got the win, and is now a three time WWE Champion. My thoughts on his booking decision is simple. I liked the idea of Drew as WWE Champion, and giving him those moments as Champion on the recent UK/EUROPEAN Tour was a nice moment that needed to savoured, but what came next was a far cry from what was promised. His Match with Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble failed to get over with fans, whilst the lack of care, just catered to WWE's continuing thread of there bad rapor with fans. So getting the belt away from Drew does make sense. Cody vs Randy is something that we haven't seen under HHH's eyes, and I have to admit it, this looks very intriguing. The Match wasn't for me.

Overview of Friday Night Smackdown.

I liked elements of this show, whilst other moments just made me either question my life choices or not get excited for Mania. This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is good, but some fans might see it as uneven.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a low 7/10.

Top 5 Times Tony Khan Was An Elite Booker.

Intro.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

In May of 2019. The Pro Wrestling world went through a change with the debut of AEW. Following on in October of that year we got the launch of its weekly TV output. AEW Dynamite would go head to head with WWE NXT, due to that Promotions selfish claim for dominance, as part of the Wednesday Night Wars. This would lead to a modern day form of inginuity, and trailblazing, as innovation lead for great booking to come to life. This is my list of the moments when Tony Khan proved to the Pro Wrestling industry that he's an Elite booker. So sit back, get yourself a drink and a snack, and I will begin.

5. Brodie Lee's Passing.

On  26th of December 2020, the world was saddened to hear the news of the passing of John Huber, aka. Luke Harper in WWE, and Mr Brodie Lee in AEW. This sent a shock through the industry as it was confirmed that he had passed away from Non Covid related issues. The WWE dedicated an episode of Friday Night Smackdown, whilst AEW focused an entire episode of Dynamite on the fallen Dark Order leader. Cody Rhodes paid tribute to his former adversary on this night, whilst Eric Redbird/Rowan was seen in an emotional state, as Tony Khan embraced Negative One. John's Young Son. This was a truly Touching Reminder that the Pro Wrestling world should always remember it's fallen brothers/sisters.

4. The First Ladies Lights Out Match Thunder Rosa vs Dr Britt Baker.

This took place on the 17th of March edition of AEW Dynamite. It was also brutal from it's layout, all the way to its execution. This laid bare an industry that would normally protect women from this form of Match. It was refreshing to see, and a bald move to book this Match. The Match was rated 5 stars by the Wrestling Observer, and acted like a reminder, that if you've got the talent, then you need to let them loose. Tony Khan took this chance, and the gamble paid off. Both Thunder Rosa, and. Dr Britt Baker may have a highly contencious relationship, as it has been reported over the years, but when you look back at this Match, you could easily see that they have amazing chemistry, and giving them the main event stage was a piece of devine booking.

3. The First Dance.

This was a play on words used to bring back Cm Punk to the industry, that had used and tarnished him. This came together as a series of easter eggs would play out on Dynamite. And then it happened. On the 17th of August Cm Punk returned to the Ring on an episode of AEW Rampage. Even though Punks run in Jacksonville would get cut short to due backstage politics becoming the main source of contention. Khans booking of Punk in this time was nothing short of perfect. His Match against Darby Allin at All Out, was based around respect. Whilst his feuds with Eddie Kingston, and. MJF were seen as a study in contrast. one hand there was the sense of reality, and on the other we got a storyline that would never get bettered. This proved that Khan had the notion to be up there with the best.

2. Taking An Entire Network To Task.

On the 17th of January 2023 The world was saddened to hear the news of Jay Briscoe Passing. From a car accident in Laurel Delaware. Previously Jay had been a point of Contention due to things that he had said in the past from Warner Bros. Tony Khan who owned ROH battled TBS to get Mark Jays Brother on that weeks edition of Dynamite. Khan managed to make this happen, and. Mark faced Jay Briscoe on this night. It has to be noted that in the times after when Jay said what he said about same sex marriages. He went into the LGBTQ+ Pro Wrestling community, and spoke to gay Wrestlers, as a way of understanding the era of his ways. This would be brought up as Khan Battled AEW's home network TBS.

1. Bringing In Dr Martha Hart.

This was a move that Khan should be praised for. On the 23rd of May 1999, at the WWF Over The Edge PPV. Owen Hart lost his life after a staged ceiling stunt went wrong, causing Owen to plunge to his death. This would lead to several legal issues that were settled out of court in 2003. Martha would start to have issues with the Hart Family, over all of this. She would then have nothing to do with the industry. In April of 2022 AEW announced it's first incarnation of the Owen Hart Tournament. The introduction used footage of Owens days in NJPW. Tony Khan brought Martha out on the 11th of May edition of Dynamite Martha to kick start the tournament. This was a monumental moment in time, because it was only a decade before this that Martha, and her kids wanted nothing to do with the Pro Wrestling industry. Tony Khan deserves all the praise in the world for bringing her back to an industry that gave her nothing but pain, and showing her that the industry has a soul, and a heart, after a time that wasn't so kind to her.

Overview Of This Piece.

I enjoyed writing this. When I came up with the idea for this piece. I knew that elements would be difficult to write, but Tony has been a source of inspiration to me, because the company grew, so did my confidence when it came to working out what I wanted to do with my life, and were I saw it going. If you have a goal in life, then reach for the stars and keep reaching.

 AEW Dynamite Review 5.3.2026.

By Patrick O'malley

Kevin Knight vs MJF AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

This Match in my opinion acted like an audition piece for Knight, and he did well. The balance within the Match did what it needed to do. Make Kevin look like a millionaire, whilst Max looked dominant through cheating. Kevin's coast to coast looked awesome. Max got the win, and retained his belt with a heatseaker. Speedball Mike Bailey made the save, when Kevin got decked by Max in the aftermath. Thanks to Hangman Adam Page. I liked this.

Orange Cassidy And Darby Allin vs Gabe Kidd And Clark Connors.

I liked this. From the very opening, you got the sense of urgentcy. and this allowed the physicality to get over with fans. The way that this Match was styled played into how the story would develop. It was well layered, and with each layer as it unravelled, you got something new. The first layer saw Gabe Kidd get mouthy with Darby, and the second saw a solid round of exchanges that gave Orange, and. Darby get the win, they will be fighting again at Revolution. I love Timeless Toni Storm. Oh and hello David Finlay. It's believed that David is now All Elite. WWE did show interest in him, because his brother and Dad are involved in the NXT System, but the deal came together last week, as talks with WWE fell through.

Bandido vs Andrade El Idolo.

Bandido vs Andrade El Idolo at Revolution. Ok take my money Tony Khan It's not like I have weekly food shops, and bills to pay.

The Brawling Birds vs The Inspiration.

The Brawling Birds don't give a f*** about posing, because they battered The Inspiration in less than 2 minutes. I hear that someone in Newcastle Upon Tyne is currently crying.

Hangman Adam Page vs Marty Snow.

One buckshot one win, that's an easy night for Hangman Adam Page. Hangman then cut a scaving promo on Max. I loved this. It was word spilled viscerality served up to the masses. Max answered this back, and then Hangman was attacked by the TDCWO from behind. Speedball Mike Bailey, and. Kevin Knight made the save, and they were then greated by Don Callis, who told them he had spoken to Tony Khan, and he has given the ok for them to challenge for the trios championship in the main event.

Young Bucks vs FTR Face To Face.

This segment had me laughing. From Big Stoke nearly not being able to get his wheelchair through the doors, to Brandon Cutler getting decked. I loved this.

Jon Moxley vs Hechicero.

I didn't like this. The Match was decent, but i'm done with the whole TDCWO vs The Deathriders storyline. Mox got the win, and you know what I don't care.

The Segment Of The Night.

What came after this was easily the segment of the night. Brody King stormed out to the ring, and he called out Swerve Strickland. he was met by Prince Nana. who acted like a distraction, because Swerve attacked Brody from behind, and tried to choke him out. Whilst he cut an excellent on him. Bandido came out to make the save. This was excellent.

Thunder Rosa vs Thekla AEW Womens Championship.

I liked this. Thekla is going to hold the belt all the way through to All In London, so it does beg the question, who's going to take the belt from her?  I can see Kris Statlader getting another shot at some point after Revolution. Thunder Rosa is one of my Favourite Womens Wrestlers to watch, and how this Match was booked didn't cater to her ring style. Thekla managed to get the win.

Tomasso Ciampa Segment.

Dax Harwood vs Tomasso Ciampa at a later date. Yes please AEW. Be still my 2017 NXT loving heart.

AEW Trios Championship Match Jetspeed And Hangman Adam Page vs Protokada And Mark Davis.

This was the Match of the night. It started with a lofi basis, and turned into a barn burner. I could sit here and talk about how Hangman gave Mark Davis a deadeye, or. Kyle Fletchers reverse hurricanrana to Speedball Mike Bailey, or Speedball taking a rainmaker for the finish. But in all honesty it was the chemistry between these teams that sold the Match. We have new Trios Tag Team Champions, and even though the. Trios Belts do need a fresh outlook, This Main Event was steller.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

AEW Continues it's good form of grace with fans, as it weekly TV remains at a high level, and this is important when heading all of the things that they've got planned in 2026.

This weeks AEW is a solid 8/10.

Top 5 Times The Ultimate Fighter Tackled Serious Issues.

Intro.

TV has a funny way of promoting itself, when it comes to sensitive topics. Reality TV is no differant. Some have decided to only mention things in passing Like The Hills did with Stephanie Pratt. MTV a decade later would debut 16 and recovering, a show that was focused on healing teenagers, and guiding them through the balance of recovering from drug addiction. The UFC's Ultimate Fighter reality show, over the past 33 seasons has welcomed in many differant fighters from differant walks of life. This means differant important issues, can be spoken about.

5. Bereavement Season 15 Michael Chiesa.

Season 15 of The Ultimate Fighter was the first one to be aired live, with the fights going live, and the training airing in real time. After his fight to get into the house Team Faber standout Michael Chiesa was allowed a phone call home, and he was told that his dad had passed away. You could see the anquish on his face, as emotion took over. He told his friend in the house Sam Sicilia, and this helped, he was seen telling the camera that his dad hung on so he could see his son fight on TV, and then passed away. This was a pivotal moment in the series as this showcased the real raw emotion that fighters go through.

4. Drug Addiction Court Mcgee Season 11.

This man is the definition of what true human spirit stands for, and means. Court who went on to win the show, and spoke about how serious his issues with addiction went, from near death to eventually winning the show. Court showed that you can overcome anything if you want it bad enough. He went on to praise his coach on the show Chuck Liddell, and then dedicated his win to those who are going through there own hell at that very moment. I remember watching the show back recently, and the one thought that ran through my head was the fact that the right man won. He's still with the Vegas promotion to this day.

3. Abandonment Issues Chris Leben Season 1.

For this entry were going all the way back to the very first season. This was more of an incident. After a night out drinking. Bobby Southworth, and. Josh Koscheck played the part of wind up merchants. Bobby would go on to bring up the fact that Chris recently tried to reconnect with his long lost dad, and this would cause what came next. I remember watching this at the time, and I felt sorry for Chris, however watching this with 2025 eyes it was clear that Chris had issues. I don't think that it was wise to put him on national TV. I believe that the UFC now has a screening system, so that these issues don't come back up. This would be brought up again when Julian Lane entered the house on season 16.

2. Depression Aisling Daly Season 20.

Mental Health is No Joke, and should be treated with cotton gloves. This is the case of Aisling Daly, who opened to the camera about her struggles with Depression. It was heart breaking to hear how her mind would work, and seeing this on a sports show, was needed. Bare in mind that back in 2014, the world was starting to wake up to the fact it's ok to not be ok, thankfully these days open discussions about mental health are a lot more prevelent in MMA, and this is something that is beyond important. The fight game has changed, as the fight industry has started to open it's eyes. Aisling retired from MMA in 2017 due to a found abnormality during a routine brain scan.

1. Joe Daddy Stevenson Alcohol Addiction Season 25.

Season 25 of The Ultimate Fighter was centred around the arc of redemption, as the likes of Jesse Taylor. Julian Lane, and. James Krause were brought back to the show, but one other fan favourite was also brought back. Season 2 winner Joe Daddy Stevenson. Since winning the show back in 2005. Joe would face BJ Penn for the Light Championship at UFC 80, and have a steady build up to the fight, however after losing four fights on the bounce. He was released from his contract in 2010. He then went on to work in the TV industry as a fight consultant. In 2017 he was welcomed back to the show, and it was here when he opened up about his issues with Alcohol, and how the love for his kids, and the fight industry got him through this time, as he proved that sobriety can be a solid way of life.

My Inspiration for this piece.

My inspiration for this piece comes from own life. I've had issues with learning for as long as I can remember, and I still get hurt when Some people don't understand were i'm coming from, but if that tought me anything it's this. If you have drive, and a vision in life, you owe it to yourself to see it through, and succeed.

WWE Monday Night Raw Review 3.3.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Superstars Seen Arriving for Work.

Mr And Mrs Punk. The Judgement Day, and. Gunther were seen showing up, and Michael Cole told us that Roman Reigns will be on the show later on. ( more on him later ).

The Vision Segment.

This was a mix bag. Paul Heyman. Logan Paul, and Austin Theory, started off the show. Paul went straight to business bringing down the person that his crew wronged Seth Rollins, he called him a thief, because he burns everything that he touches. Paul Heyman was the star throughout this. Logan Paul, and. Austin Theory added nothing to this segment, there words felt and lifeless when being delivered. This was when more hoodied black figures came out. Austin, and. Logan chased them off leaving one of them stairing Heyman, this was when he was attacked by Seth Rollins, in a perfect mirror image to how he turned on The Shield. This was incredibly shot, and perfectly executed. Paul was led to the back by security with a steady follow through shot, and was placed into an ambulance. Austin Theory, and. Logan Paul, made sure that he was taken care of, and then a car turned up. It was Jimmy Uso, who attacked Austin Theory. Jimmy looked at the driver. LA Knight, as the ambulance drove off. At first I thought that this was the stereotypical The Vision segment, but when you dig beneath the surface this funny, and a good way to open the show.

Gunther vs Dragon Lee.

In the early going on in this Match, I got the feeling that this would a onesided beatdown. But what we got was a fun Match, that was actively competitive. Gunther got the win. Gunther is one of my favourite things on WWE TV at the moment, and even though we were missing his normal heel housery. I did enjoy this.

Heel Asuka.

I Love heel Asuka, and you just know that the moment when Kairi Sane snaps is going to be gold. Asuka vs AJ Lee at a later point. Yes please WWE.

AJ Lee Segment.

AJ Lee recognised that she's going to be a fighting Champion, and told the womens division to step up.

Elgrande Americano.

If i'm Penta then i'm thinking, you guys are nuts. The Original Elgrande Americano bumped into the newer Elgrande Americano, The Original Elgrande Americano, then beat Rayo in a fun Match.

Nattie Segment.

Ok WWE please stop this weekly torture with Natalya's new character, because this just isn't working.

The Judgement Day Segment.

The Judgement Day are still reminding me of The Simpsons episode a Milhouse divided, because I can see tears when they seperate.

Rusev Segment.

Rusev cut a promo on Oba Femi whilst standing on the announcers desk, and just like that out came Oba, and then it was on. Both men will have a big beefy boys fight next week.

Lyra Valkyria And Bayley Segment.

Lyra Valkyria, and. Bayley were seen talking, and guess what both ladies want Gold. So they went to speak to Adam Pearce, and Iyo Sky was seen coming out of his office. All three ladies will be involved in the six way Match to decide who AJ Lee faces next for her Intercontinental Championship.

Jimmy Uso vs Austin Theory.

I hated this. The got thrown out thanks to Logan Paul. Prime is awful, and don't give it to your kids.

Danhausen Segment.

I'm not going to say about this segment, because I urge you guys to go and check this out. God bless Danhausen. He put a curse on Dominik Mysterio. This would dire consequences later on.

I Love Jevon Evans.

I have only one thing to say. If you don't like Jevon Evans, then go and take a look in the mirror. This boy is booouuuncey. I love me some Jevon Evans.

Rhea Ripley Segment.

Rhea Ripley said goodbye to Iyo Sky, because she's heading over to Smackdown to batter Jade Cargill. This felt a bit real. Oh wait it is. I liked this.

Penta vs Dominik Mysterio WWE Intercontinental Championship.

I am convinced that there are some certaincies in life. Births. Marriages. Deaths, and the never ending story of The Judgement Day eventually splitting up. I feel like i'm watching Pro Wrestlings version of Kiss seperating, because WWE has been battering this drum for nearly over three years. This Match was a bit predictable, but enjoyable. Dom, and. Penta leant into how the Match's story would play out, as the promise of cheating turned into potentially something that could be awesome. Penta got the win after JD was stopped by Finn Balor, giving Dom the hammer. This would Give Penta the chance to hit Dom with a Mexican Destroyer for the win, and become our new WWE Intercontinental Champion. I liked this.

Roman Reigns And Cm Punk Segment.

I went back and watched this straight after I viewed it this morning. This is WWE;s segment of the year. This promo lasted for ten minutes, and it was a tour de force. This touched every corner you could think of as the power struggle within WWE plays out in real time. On one hand you've got Cm Punk, a HHH guy, and on the other you've got Roman Reigns, a Dwayne The Rock Johnson guy. This  iswhen you take a look at things as a version of financial power being played by two wrestlers, and it's awesome to watch. From Harsh realities, that compound these two's history, from how The Shield came together, to punks return in late 2023. This is the art of Wrestling, and my word this was great, as the scope of real life played out. Punk then delivered his final statement to Roman, and told him that he's going to bury him down as low as his own Father. This is WWE at it's finest.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

I liked this weeks Monday Night Raw, yes there were things that I didn't like, but there was only two that grinded my gears. The rest of the show went from good to excellent. Keep this up WWE

This weeks Monday Night Raw is a solid 8/10.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 Review ( Delayed )

By Patrick O'malley.

Cm Punk Opening Video.

Even though this felt a bit out of place, it did what it said on the tin, and set the mood for the show.

Superstars Seen Arriving In Chicago.

Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes. Finn Balor. Becky Lynch, and Mr And Mrs Punk were all seen arriving for work.

Womens Elimination Chamber.

This was an out of time waste, and it was a real shame, because this had real potentially. The Matches within the Match had no sense of urgentcy, and as a fan watching from, this is vital for fan reception. The way that it was layed out, was designed for trouble, and this is what we got. The Match suffered from substantial pacing issues. Rhea Ripley, beat. Alexa Bliss. Raquel Rodrioguez. Kiana James. Asuka, and. Tiffany Stratton, to earn the right to face Jade Cargill for her Womens Championship at WrestleMania. I don't have high hopes for the Match, because on the surface this looks like a misfire. And given the fact that X is a thing these days.

Becky Lynch vs AJ Lee WWE Intercontinental Championship.

I had to go back and rewatch this, because when the live broadcast played on Netflix. I suffered broadband issues. The Match played in at a slow lofi pace, that picked up towards the end. Both ladies have great chemistry, and you could get the feeling they were going to work with what they were given, this is the best way to describe this Match. Parts of this Match felt clunky, but i'm putting this down ring rust on the half of AJ. Becky as a result of this had to play heavily into the storyline of the Match, to the point that things became over theatrical. The selling point of this bout was centred around, how much duration does Becky have towards AJ's submission hold. As it turned she has a low tolerance for it, because this is how AJ Got the win to become our new WWE Womens Intercontinental Champion. This wasn't for me. The action felt a bit two plodding for my liking.

Cm Punk vs Finn Balor WWE Championship.

This was the Match of the night, by a long distance. In Becky vs AJ, you could see that parts of the crowd had come alive for the Chicago native Lee, this was the same treatment only amplified, that her other half received when he came out. He was given the walk through treatment as the voice of former Chicago Bulls announcer Ray Clay played out over the pa system. This delivered the template for hadwork, as the Match played out. Both men put forward their best shots, by hitting each other with submission holds, coup be grace, and gts's. This was a fantastic mixing pot, that the fans lapped up. Punk retained after a solid series of final exchanges.

Attendence announced.

WWE then announced that 19.434 fans were in attendence for the PPV in chicago. I hope those fans have decent bank accounts, because after I attended Friday Night Smackdown at Londons Wembley Arena in mid january. I had to rebuild my account.

What's In The Box.

The mystery of what's in WWE's mystery crate. It's a debuting Danhausen, and his Danettes. This was booed heavily. And just like that Danhausen put a curse on 19.434 fans. I thought this was quite funny, especially as Wade Barrett looked disinterested. I love me some Danhausen, so here's hoping that WWE book him properly.

Mens Elimination Chamber.

Out both of the Chamber Matches that took place last saturday. I have to say it, this was a day and night situation, because the mens was miles better than the womens. The Matches within the Match made for decent viewing. The future gave way, as Cody Rhodes allowed Jevon Evans to have time to put in his work. Whilst LA Knight. Randy Orton. Logan Paul, and. Trick Williams proved that timing is everything as all four men added a sense of occassion to the Match. The final exchanges were gold as they were filled with entertaining moments, as storylines came out of the back of this Match. The finish was brought about thanks to the return of Seth Rollins, and Black hoodie miscrients. This allowed Drew Mcintyre to come out and Smack Cody with his Championship, allowing Randy Orton to hit Cody with an RKO for the finish.

Overview Of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.

This PLE was all over the place. The womens chamber felt over booked, whilst the mens shone brighter, as the midcard went from predictable to exciting. This PLE was what it was, and if i'm being honest i'm very honest, If this was a school report it would read. Good but must do better.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 Is a good 6/10.

My Top 5 TV Storylines That Reflect Pro Wrestling.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

When you dig beneath the annals of time, Pro Wrestling has always taken inspiration from other form of media, like Music, and cinema, but TV has always been ahead of the curb, when it comes to mirroring things that have, ande would happen in the world of Pro Wrestling. Whilst I was compiling this list. I sat back and had to watch a load of old episodes of some of the most respected shows, that TV has ever seen. From Problematic Couples. bullying, and aspects of coersive control, these shows do have parralells with Pro Wrestling storylines, even if you don't see them on first viewing.

5 Spencer And Heidi The Hills/ Chyna And Eddie Guererro. Edge And Vicky Guererro.

If you take your minds back to the year 2000, your TV would act as an infested state when it came to relationships. There was the Dawson/Joey/Pacey love triangle, and Buffy was getting over Angel as season 4 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer saw Riley enter the scene, however if you watched the WWE at this point then youn had love story's to enjoy, through the eyes of cringe. HHH and Stephanie Mcmahon, were showing that affairs can start from anything, and Eddie Guererro and Chyna were becoming loves next dream. Both of these relationships happened at the same time. Both HHH and Guererro showed that Jealousy is an ugly form of illness. Six years later MTV would premiere The Hills, a reality show that was spawned from a hit teen reality show Laguna Beach, which for at least two seasons became a major hit. The Hills was considered quite Controversial at the time, due to it's need to highlight how complex adult relationships can be. The show was accused of creating coersive behaviour. I do think when looking back at the relationship of Heidi and Spencer you can see how these storylines can be seen as the same, on one hand you have Spencer, a self owned man who doesn't work, whilst on the other his partner brought home the money. This would cause tension and jealousy, and. this was the reason why Eddie Guererro and Chyna, would end there relationship, as HHH would get physical with Stephanie in september of 2000.

4. The Elite Bullying.

If you look at the dynamic of Kenny Omega, and. Hangman Adam Page, from 2020/2021, you can pick a TV Villain and liken them to The Elite. At this point Kenny was the self made succession man, but when you look at the heinous acts of The Elite. However bullying in Pro Wrestling has always taken shape from TV. When you look back at the eighties The A Team was the show that catered to the youth, and showed kids the meaning of right, and wrong. This would change as the times changed. 2021 AEW took influence from Squid Game, as the final stages of the rivalry played out. This never made it air. But the intention was clear.

3. Mr Burns/ Vince Mcmahon.

In the 1990's the days of the minacle boss, weren't just becoming a thing in your everyday life, you could watch storylines that reflect your own life when you come home. This is the exact way to look at the rise of The Simpsons main Villain Mr C Montgomery Burns, and. the WWE's main Villain Mr Mcmahon. These were the times that we were living in. The 1990's were a testing ground for what shows could get away on TV, and this was proven when both of these men did bad things, on one hand, one tried to block out the sun, whilst on the other, a man become Satan himself, in the form of a higher power, who got off on the suffering of others. The parables for these two came up at the same time.

2. The Days Of Attitude.

1996-1999 were seen as trying times for both the WWE, and. WCW, this would lead to a form of inivation, on one hand you had the WWE led by it's form of colourful characters, that wouldn't look out of place in a comic book, whilst on the other hand you had WCW, a company that had turned into renegades since the debut of The NWO. As the years went on, you could tell that a form of copying was going on, especially as 1999 rolled into it's last few months, and Vince Russo took the creative reign in Atlanta. A Hardcore title came in, and over sexualisation became the norm. This would be the main form of controversy in the late nineties.

1. The Bloodline/ Sons Of Anarchy.

Drama has always been the main point for imitaion, from SNL doing a Dawsons Creek segment, to The Simpsons mocking The O C. In 2020 the world was introduced to the vision of Roman Reigns as a heel, this would have it flaws, even though his Matches were well booked. In  July of 2022 Vince Mcmahon was forced to retire, under mounting pressure from his own board of directors, after it was alledged that he was using Company funds to disguise hush money payouts. He would eventually do just this thing, and his son in law took over the creative direction of the company. This would take shape within the coming weeks and months. Under the old regime. The Bloodline was seen as a clear route for success, as Romans grooming of his own family became must view TV. This is how I viewed Sons Of Anarchy, a show about a outlaw motorcycle club, the show would centre around the themes of warped love, and, respect, told through the eyes of it's VP Jax Teller. If I was a casting agent, you could easily cast Sami Zayn in the Jax roll, whilst. Roman would Clay Morrow, a man that took pleasure in the trying to hold on to his family at any cost. Both shows would repressent forms of gangland violence, and betrayal. This is what made The Bloodline, and. Sons Of Anarchy unmissable TV, when they were airing.

Overview Of This Piece.

I found writing this piece to be quite enlightening. I found myself going down quite a nasty rabbit thanks to google, and having many subscriptions to many TV streaming services. But when I hit a brick wall, I kept thinking what this must've meant to fans of these shows in there own lifes, because from being a by stander you feel involved in the reality of fiction, as a way of escaping your day to day mondainity. And if this teaches you something about yourself that you don't like, then surely it's all been worth it, because you've seeked help, and bettered yourself in the long run.

 AEW Dynamite Review 26.2.2026.

Babes Of Wrath And Megabad Segment.

The Babes Of Wrath, and. Megabad explained how they're going to batter each other later on.

Jon Moxley vs El Clon Continental Championship Eliminator.

This did nothing for me. Yes the in ring was solid, and the story of running out time limits draws surrounding Moxley is solid, but in reality i'm done with The Deathriders vs TDCWO storyline. Mox got the win, and if i'm being honest I don't care.

Heel Prince Nana.

Prince Nana is a heel, and i'm here for it, he brought out Swerve Strickland, who stood on the announcers table, and laid waste to the entire main event scene. I loved this. No notes perfect.

Orange Cassidy vs Gabe Kidd.

I liked this, as the way of how early Matches on cards play out, this was a day and night case, when you look at what came before it. Both men got the need to put forward a sudden sense of urgentcy. This allowed for the story, and physicality of the Match to play out. Gabe got the win, and in the aftermath he and Clark Connors were attacked by Darby Allin, and. Orange Cassidy. This says Tag Team Direction as Revolution moves ever closer.

Lets Go Thunder Rosa.

Thunder Rosa is back, and she's coming after Thekla. It's no secret that I love watching Thunder work, so it's time to put up, and shut up, and go and win that AEW Womens Championship. This pissed off Kris Statlander.

Kevin Knight vs Mansoor.

Kevin Knight beat Mansoor in an unplanned Match, and then called out Hangman Adam Page in the aftermath. This would've been better placed on Collision.

MJF And Hamgman Adam Page Face To Face.

I loved this. Max once again owned the fans, as they hung on his every word. Hangman fired back, as Max's side of the Promo focussed on Reverse Psychology, and this was a fascinating sight. Hangman fired back, by using the same tactikc from last weeks awesome segment. He played into Max's hands, as Max said that on oneside of the coin would be a Long NO DQ Match, currated by Max, in which  he can do what he wants, and if Hangman even looks at a weapon, he would be disqualified. So the coin got tossed, and Max got his own way, or so he thought. Hangman questioned this, and when Max went to leave, he was stopped by Jetspeed, and Brodido. Tony Khan then told Tony Schiavone that at Revolution Max will face Hangman for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship in a Texas Deathmatch. I still think that the Texas Death Match stipulation has been over used in AEW, but this could steel the show on the 15th of March.

THe Brawling Birds Segment.

Ok guys. It's official. The Brawling Birds don't give a f***. no wait that's a flying f***. Patrick go and wash your mouth out with a pint of Sol.

Megabad vs The Babes Of Wrath AEW Womens Championship Match.

This ended abruptly after Penelope Ford suffered a real injury by all reports. Lena Cross got the Match thrown out. This was a real shame.

Mark Davis vs Brody King.

There's nothing more in this world that I love more than two big boys, doing big beefy things. I loved this horse fight. It resembled the finest form of meat slapping. Brody got the win, and called out Swerve Strickland for a Match at Revolution. And just like that Bandido came out, and said i'll have some of that action. So step forward Andrade El Idolo. Both of these Matches sound very enticing.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika as a Tag Team ? Oh well stranger things have happened.

Mile High Madness.

The team of Jack Perry. The Rascalz, and. Young Bucks, beat FTR, and. The Demand. From the insane table, and chair spots. Lucha Stokeley taking out Nick Jackson on the stairs, to the outright pouring of chaos that echoed from the start, all the way to it's finish. This was one hell of a party Match to end the show.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

I have a question for you guys, was this a blow away storm of a show, well no, but did I have fun watching it, at 7.30am in the morning before I went to my day job, yes. This show worked as a look at what could becoming in the future. And by God i'm here for it.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 7/10.

My Top 5 Times Pro Wrestling Made Me A Better Person.

By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

I have a question for you guys. Do TV shows, or other forms of media change the type of people that we end up being? I've been a fan of Pro Wrestling for over thirty years, and i'm starting to ask this question. I'm a 38 year old man, who still asks questions about the world, the sameway that I did when I was 15. I think this could be down to the fact as a child, and throughout my life, i've faced challenges and issues surrounding having learning issues, but when you get a challenge in life you can either face it head on, or let it own you.

5. The Humour Of The Attitude Era.

I understand that this sentence might sound questionable given what we know about how this, and what occured during this time period, but given the fact that I was only 11 when I started to get some of the jokes that were unfolding on WWE TV. I started secondary school at this point, so it was important that I learnt how to make people laugh. Step forward DX, and. The Rock. D Generation X, knew how to make me laugh, and offend my mum, and this taught me that humour is an important vice for anyone, not just myself. Dwayne The Rock Johnson is a relic to himself, he could make you smile, and laugh, with the flick of his famous eyebrow, to his ability to verbally batter his opponent on the mic. I as an impressionable 11 turning 12 year old, got loads out of how he delivered his words. This was I learnt to speak my mind through humour.

4. The Rise Of AEW.

If you take your mind back to early 2018, the conception of another Pro Wrestling Company trying to vye for the no1 spot on a global level, was seen as laughable, but that's what we got when a small group of Individuals put forward an idea to currate an indy show to held in an arena, those individuals are known as Cody Rhodes. Kenny Omega, and. The Young Bucks, and the show was called All In. Nine months later it was confirmed that AEW would be launching with there first PPV to held in May of 2019. This PPV would be called Double Or Nothing. This event along with it's indy roots, would go on to change the way that the industry would be looked at. What I learnt from this was to accept all forms of change, because life changes, and sometimes if you don't go along with the times, then you might get left behind.

3. Be A Star.

This is a backwards look at how not to act. Back in 2011 the WWE introduced this inititive on weekly TV, as a series of ads aimed at showing Children how to learn to respect each other. I hated this from the moment I saw them. I get the aim behind it, but it undoes it self when you have John Cena call Eve Tores a sexual slur. This is just one moment, from a series of bad moments. I learnt that if you act like a hypocrite, then you deserve what you get. As a 24 year old man at the time, I was still learning how to navigate adult life, so I see something like this, and instantly i'm reminded of how it's important to treat people with respect as an adult, because this is the way that the world works.

2. It's Always Important To Remember Those That We've Lost.

The next part of this piece is one of the most tricky things that i've had put to print. Death is going to become all of us at some point in our lives, and when it happens in Pro Wrestling, the world becomes a lot more cruel. Case and points. 1 on the 26th of December 2020 the world was saddened to hear the news of the passing of John Huber aka. Brody lee/ Luke Harper. This took me back, and reminded me that life is far too short, this is an important life lesson for anyone to hold close to your heart. Just under three years later the world was saddened again to hear of the passing of windham Rotunda, aka. Bray wyatt. That same life lesson was taught again when I heard this news. Just a few days later, after the news broke. I attended AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, and amongst all of the tributes, what really stood out to me was, as I entered the Stadium all I could hear was Bray's entrance music playing out over the pa system. The lesson that I took away from this, was to hold your friends and family close.

1. Staples Are Friendship Groups.

From a young age I have always wanted to find a sense of belonging, and as a 38 year old adult i'm still looking for this connection. This could be said about Pro Wrestling Stables. The art of creating a good faction can't be rushed, it has to be nurtured over time. A great example is D Generation X, on screen they looked a couple of boys having fun, this was because Shawn Michaels, and. HHH had a real life friendship that had been developed over time, travelling on the road together. I see this a lot in the modern day Pro Wrestling scene, case and point The Elite. This group came together over time, as AEW started to shift it's gears, and grind them into fans brains. This to me is how you make relationships, and it's an important part of life, that no one should ignore.

Overview Of This Piece.

I feel that this piece was important for me to write. Because you can learn a lot about yourself when you take a look at the past. I learnt loads about the world at a young age watching Pro Wrestling, from the very moment that my brother kicked me out of my family's front room, so he could watch WCW worldwide, this sparked off a lifelong passion, that has lasted for over thirty years. This is were I see my life going, and lets just put it this way. If you're a Pro Wrestling fan, then life is never dull. You can have that little bit of advice for free.

 Monday Night Raw Review.  24.2.2026

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

This has been an interesting time for me. I've had to cut down my workload in writing these pages, due to my day job, and that's going to continue into this week. This Sunday i'm going to be doing a stock take, which is important for my day job, so my Elimination Chamber review will be coming late Monday evening, and not on a Sunday. You Guys know that I hate having to push things back, but if there's an imprtant reason behind then that has to come first. Helping my team out falls under this, and if you're wondering what I have thought about recent events in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, believe you me, those thoughts are coming, so watch this space.

Gunther Is Simply The Best.

The show opened up with Corey Graves, and. Michael Cole standing in the ring, getting ready to celebrate AJ Styles Appreciation night, that was until the Career Killer Gunther came out. He took pleasure in taking credit for ending the careers of Styles, and. Bill Goldberg, who both come from the state that Monday Night Raw was being beamed live from. He Kicked Corey Graves, and. Michael Cole out of the ring, as the Austrian bathed in the fans hate. Adam Pearce then came out followed by Security, this when he decided to make fun of the fans. Dragon Lee then took offence to this, and both men had a brawl that went into the back area. This was incredibly well shot, as Cody Rhodes came into shot. I loved this, as it set the template for the night ahead.

Cody Rhodes Segment And Jey Uso vs Bronson Reed vs The Original El Grande Americano.

All of this was a mess. Cody came out, and before he could say the name AJ Styles, he was interrupted by The Vision. I hated this. Having two promo segments go back to back, can be quite jarring, and this fell into that realm. Austin Theory, and. Logan Paul, both came across like catty school children, and it was pathetic. Cody brought out The Usos, and just like that we got the Yeetathon we should've had last week. This Match was all over the place. The pacing felt a bit off, and then it happened. As Bronson was going in to break up a near fall, he rolled onto his shoulder, he rolled onto the floor, and was seen by Doctors. It was later confirmed that he was legitimately injured, and will be out for a lengthy time, this meant that the outcome was called on the fly. Jey got the win, and this didn't hide the stench of confusion, as the Match played out live.

Cm Punk Shows Up To Work.

If you're going to show up in style to you're day job, then this is how you do it, you get a champion Nascar Driver to drop you off like he's an Uber driver.

Liv Morgan Segment.

I liked this. Dominik Mysterio introduced Both of Liv's potential opponents, and just like that it was on. Liv apologised to Stephanie Vaquer, because was slightly priviledged. And just like that her WrestleMania opponent was sealed with one punch. Liv Smacked Stephanie as Jade Cargill just stood there looking like an odd piece of furniture.

Jevon Evans Meets Offset And The New Day.

Now this sounds intriguing. Jevon Evans vs Kofi Kingston. Offset was the first of Many Rappers to show on this broadcast. Oh hello That So 2Chains, and has anyone seen Lil Bow Wow recently, oh wait there he is sitting at ringside all grown up.

Maxxine Dupri vs Nattie.

The Match was thrown out after Maxxine was pushed into the ring post. I have a question for you guys, has He Who Shall Not Be Named taken charge of the booking again, because my god this was bad. I'm going to bury this, because this deserves to be put in a vault and never seen again. How did this get greenlit. I hated this with every fibre of my being.

The Judgement Day Are A Family.

Whenever I see these type of segments on WWE TV the only thing that goes through my mind is the song that Kirk Vanhouten sang on The Simpsons, as he tried to get his wife back. This one was no differant, because The Judgement Day are a family divided.

Trick Williams Is In Atlanta.

Trick Williams has brought his Lemon Pepper Steppers all the way to Atlanta, just to try the Chicken Wings. I don't blame you my guy, because Patrick loves Wings as well.

Rusev Is Here.

Hey look everyone Rusev is here. ( for some reason ) Right that's it move over Rusev, because Oba Femi is here. I have a guess for what's in that crate. A lifetimes supply of Sour Patch Kids. That's going a sweat treat for the state of Chicago this Saturday.

Brock Lesnar Segment.

I felt sick watching this. On Sunday evening, I sat down and watched Janelle Grants speech from the Colarado Conference, in which she spoke about how the whole idea of NDA's are cruel, and a form of bullying. This segment just reminded me of the fact that this industry can be very ugly. And what made this worse  was the fact that in the Aftermath of this. WWE aired a vingnette for Becky Lynch. A few months ago Becky spoke about things that happened to her when she got called up to the main roster in 2015. Now i'm not trying to cast any aspertions. I felt like this was a strange thing to air after a segment that featured someone who was mentioned 49 times in a sex trafficking lawsuit. I don't care who Brock faces at Mania. I have no interest in watching him in 2026 for obvious reasons.

Jevon Edwards vs Kofi Kingston.

I liked this. The action felt fresh, and this was important, because this show so far has been a confusing mix-bag. Jevon got the win, thanks to his new mate Offset.

Cm Punk Segment.

And just like that we snapped back to reality. You guys know that I love Cm Punk, but this segment, felt more like a paint by the numbers Babyface promo. This was a step backwards, and a real shame as we head into Elimination Chamber this weekend.

Iyo Sky vs Kairi Sane vs Raquel Rodriguez Womens Elimination Chamber Qualifier.

I liked this. As the Match went on, and the final stages became a bit more clear, you could feel the sense of urgentcy from all three ladies. And this was something that was missing from  some of the Matches on this broadcast. Raquel got the win, and is now in the Womens Chamber Match this weekend.

AJ Styles Says Goodbye To The Fans.

This was a segment that was filled with palpable emotion. You could see it written all over AJ's face as he spoke to the fans, about his time in the industry, and the places were he has been. He thanked the fans, and his family who were at ringside. As the end credits came up, the lights went out, and just like that outcame The Undertaker who rode out on his motorcycle, and spoke to AJ as the look of shook came across AJ's face. Taker said that they've got unfinished business, and he told him that he's an inductee into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2026. This was a genuinely touching moment, and the sight AJ crying with his family is something that I won't forget in a hurry. I was going to talk about my favourite AJ Styles moments, but I decided to do this another time. I might schedule it for Mania week.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

This weeks Monday Night Raw has been met with criticism online, and I get it, because this was a confusing mix-bag. I liked Kofi vs Jevon. The opening Segment. Iyo. Raquel, and Kairi Sane had a fun outing, and. Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer at Mania sounds like a fun Match, but the rest just felt like an uneven waste of time. WWE is on the road to WrestleMania, and this show simply wasn't good enough.

This Weeks Monday Night Raw by the road to WrestleMania standards is a mid 5/10.

AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 Review 25.5.26. Written By Patrick O'malley. Intro. As this year has gone on, and the Summer is slowly creep...
