WWE Friday Night Smackdown Review. 25.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

 WWE Superstars Released.

Last night was an interesting time for me, because as I got home from seeing The Prodigy at Wembley Arena, I checked out X, and I was met with the news that WWE had released up to 20 Wrestlers this incluuded the likes of Alba Fyre. Zoey Stark. Zelina Vega. Alestair Black. Andre Chase. The entire Wyatt sic, Apollo Crews, and Kairi Sane, who was being heavily used on weekly TV. A close friend of mine asked me at one point, what do I think of these times, and the first thing that came to my mind was this. I hate this, because know one deserves to lose their jobs due to these circumstances, but this is the world that we live in, and it's cruel, and unfortunately this is the darkside of the industry. I would like to use this time to wish those who've been affected by this, the best of luck in the future, because this is the right thing to do. Sean Ross Sapp confirmed this right before Friday Night Smackdown went live. This left a dark cloud over the broadcast.

Superstars Arrivals.

Cody Rhodes. Rhea Ripley. Lil Yachty, and. Trick Williams, were all seen showing up to work, with the Gingerbread Man, who was looking a bit too happy if you ask me.

Jacob Fatu Segment.

This whole segment ran like a fifteen minute Promotrain. First outcame Jacob Fatu. I love this man, because the winning thing that he put over was the message that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. This is a message that I also back, because I heard the phrase you won't amount to anything so many times during my life, to the point that it nearly had me in tears. Jimmy. and. Jey Uso then came out, and asked their cousin to side with them. This then brought out The MFT's, and Solo reminded Jacob just who brought him into WWE. After Tama said some home truths. Jacob Kicked Tama in the face, and then challenged Solo to the main event later on.

Tiffany Stratton vs Giulia WWE Womens United States Championship.

I liked this. I thought it was criminal that Tiffany missed out on a Match at WrestleMania. This Match acted like a statement from both ladies, because they worked hard with what they were given from a creative standout. Tiffany got the win, and is our new WWE Womens United States Champion. Tiffany put over her joy later on when talking to Kathy Kelley.

Danhausen And The Miz Segments.

Ok if you didn't like these segments, then I don't know what to tell you, because this was ridiculous. From Pool gags, Maryse getting covered in coco, Golf clubs, and Danhausen riding off on a kids bike. I laughed my ass off watching this.

Brie Bella And Paige Segment.

I liked this. I think it's great that Paige is back in WWE, and she's healthier than ever. I met Saraya aka Paige over AEW All  a couple of ears ago, and she deserves all of the success in the world. Her team up with Brie Bella, may have come out of leftfield, but this worked. Paige spoke about how she came back to WWE, and I have to call bs on this, because it was Bunny XO JellyRolls wife that was the captilyst behind her coming back, and not Brie. This segment acted as a way of celebrating what they've got. Team Blair then came out and said that they want another shot at the belts, this led to an impromptu Match getting wrecked by the debuting NXT call ups for Fatal Influence, who got the Match thrown out. This was too long, and felt a bit directionless.

I love Royce Keys.

This man has lived, and in my opinion deserves all of the success in the world. His Journey is truly inspiring.

Cody Rhodes Segment.

After this man basked in the fan appreciation, he went straight into business, talking about how randy Orton tried to beat him, and how Sami Zayn is sniffing around him, and that he's going to be fighting champion, as he told anyone from Monday Night Raw. Friday Night Smackdown, and. NXT to step up. I liked this, because this is how you build up multiple challengers.

Priest And Truth vs MFT's WWE Tag Team Championship Match.

Priest and Truth retained their belts, after beating The MFT's in what was a flat TV Match.

Trick Williams And Lil Yachty Segment.

I liked this. Trick, and. Yachty were at their heel bests, as they likened themselves to sporting, and musical icons, whilst that Ginger breadman was having a lovely time in the background. Oh wait that Ginger Breadman is actually a pissed off Sami Zayn, who then attacked the pair.

The Miz vs Danhausen.

From a wrecked Slammy award. Faulse pyro, and Danhausens little Mobile. This was comedy gold, and I never I would say this in our year of 2026. A Match featuring The Miz was my highlight of the show. Danhausen got the win. I'm still laughing.

Rhea Ripley Segment.

This Didn't hit with me. Rhea said that she's going to be a fighting champion, and this was when Fatal Influence came out, and they were booed heavily. The back and forth between Jacy Jayne, and Rhea felt a bit forced. Nick Aldis then put her in her place, and put her in an impromptu Match. Which was then thrown out after the rest of Fatal Influence got involved. I didn't like this.

Solo Sikoa vs Jacob Fatu.

I didn't like this. The felt like the segment from the start of the show. The story of Jacob Fatu the man, got lost in the shuffle as this Match played like an overbloated run through of a promotrain, in Match form. Jacob got the win, and then decked The MFT's, as his cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso watched on.

Overview Of WWE Friday Night Smackdown

This was a sombre broadcast, when you hear what went down before the show started. The in ring work was decent, however the promos were a mixed bag. Make this broadcast what you will, because i'm in two minds.

This Weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a mid 6/10.

 AEW Dynamite Review. 23.4.2026.

Update On Blog.

I've come to a big decision, as of the 1st of june. I will be leaving blogger, and moving over all my content to it's new home Wordpress hosted by Bluehost. I'm not going to be putting my work behind a pay wall, but I'm not making any money from It. Blogger has been good to me when it has come to me working on my confidence, but when you look at the big picture, I've been needing to do this for some time. I've decided to make the jump, and give this a go because I want to grow my audience. The site is in the working, and I can't wait to get started on my next step of this journey. I've been able to grow my confidence beyond all measures, because my main is to still give you guys the best content in written form. The journey must continue, and I would like to thank everyone who's taken the time to read my work from day one of me doing this. I get that not everyone is going like this, but in order to succeed, this is what I need to do. The person, and the content won't be changing. It's just going to a new home, you know a bit like when a TV show moves networks. This is my dream, and I hope you guys can get behind me.

MJF Segment.

This was a fiery way to kick off the show, as Maxwell Jacob Freeman, acted like a big baby, that wanted his bottle, and dumper track back. He went to town calling out Darby Allin, because he thinks that he was treated unfairly. Instead of getting Darby, he got Kevin Knight instead. Both men had a great Promo dual, and we we're treated to a tease out, when Knight challenged Max to a Match after reminding him that he lost to him not that long ago. Max agreed as long as Kevin Knight puts his new TNT Championship on the line. Max asked for a ref to come out, and Imidiately I sat up on my bed, because Max wanted it there and then, but he said, nah see yah next week. The Match was then made official by Tony Khan later on. This was  excellent, and a good way to kick start the show.

Chris Jericho Segment.

Chris on Collision, will face The Demand, but he needs some friends, or in this case business ascociates, so step forward The Hurt Business. I wasn't a fan of any of these segments, because bald jokes aren't funny.

Brodie King vs Lio Rush.

I've got to say it. At first I wasn't a fan of Lio's new character, but now I'm starting to see the entertaining side of his portrayal. This Match however was what it was, a bit of filler. I mean it wasn't bad, it just didn't grab me. Brodie got the win, and called the potential winner of the main event, telling either Darby or Tommaso, that he wants to be next in line. ( more on this later. )

Adam Copeland Segment.

Adam Copeland then layed out a challenge to FTR for Double Or Nothing. He and Christian Cage want another Match for the AEW Tag Team Championship in a New York Street Fight, and if they lose, then Cage and Cope would have to dispand as a team. I loved this.

Mina Shirakowa vs Hikaru Shida.

I liked this. These ladies had great chemistry, and that was the main selling point of this Match. Shida is one of my favourite women Wrestlers to watch in the pressent day. The physicality was heavily layered, as both ladies worked hard to get the movesets in. Shida got the win, thanks to a distraction from Kris Statlander.

Will Osperay vs Mark Davis.

This was fantastic, and a flawless effort from both men. I got reminded of the times when these two worked together on the UK Indy scene. These men had fantastic chemistry, and as time went on, the physicality sold the story, of how could Will survive became the backbone for this outing. The near falls were cleverly placed in with the drama, but it was Wills selling that was the highlight. as it came from his neck, both men thought on the ramp, and Will took two Piledrivers, one to the outside of the ring. It was this one that caused the referee to get Dr Sampson to check on him, and this was when the the ref was told him, that Will can't go anymore. So the Match got called off. Mark then took Will, and placed him back in the ring, and tried to put a beatdown on him, that was until Marina Shafir showed up, along with the rest of The Deathriders who then surrounded Will, and then kidnapped him. I think that Will might end up missing on the side of an American Milk Carten. I loved all of this. Have you seen this brit.

Alex Windsor Segment.

Alex WINDSOR, then picked a fight with The Sisters Of Sin, instep Persephone. The pair will face Thekla, and Skye Blue on Collision.

Samoa Joe Is Back.

Samoa Joe returned to AEW, and battered a man called Cody Chunn. Hook absolutely loved what he was seeing.

Darby Allin vs Tommaso Ciampa AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

This is one of the best Main Events that AEW has ever committed to putting on weekly TV. From Darby's heartwarming promo getting interrupted by MJF asking for his belt back, this led Darby to say that he will face anyone, because he's going to be a fighting champion. Tommaso would walk past Max, and at this point I could tell that this is a possible direction for us to go in. The Match was a pandomonium bloodsoaked run through, that saw Darby put Tommaso through a table, by launching himself from the top rope to the time keepers table, that was placed at ringside. Darby taking a gnarly bump from an Psycho driller to the outside, and Tommaso getting busted open the hardway from getting smacked into the announcers table. This added several elements of drama, as the near falls came thick and fast. Darby got the win, and retained his belt. He was then met by his friend Brodie King, who asked him for a shot at his belt, after Tony Khan gave him the word go. I can't put over this main event more than what I already have. This is one of the best TV main events that AEW have committed to a live Broadcast. Simply sensational.

Overview Of This Weeks AEW Dynamite.

This was a brilliant edition of weekly TV, that put the focus on solid in ring work, as the main source of Storytelling, as the promos became the second nature. Now this is what I call Pro Wrestling.

This Weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 9/10.

WWE Monday Night Raw After WrestleMania 2026 Review. 21.4.2026.

Intro.

I never thought that I should have to say this. Fans don't over step your boundaries. As a content creator. I've been around fans that have asked Wrestlers for autographs, and nine times out of ten, they've been respectful. The incidents this past weekend regarding Cm Punk, and AJ Lee, and the stories of the lack of security, was truly worrying. Just act like humans people it's really not that difficult.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

The Judgement Day, and Rhiyo were seen showing up to the arena, getting ready for their shifts.

Oba Femi Segment.

This was no notes awesome. Oba has arrived, and he's my ruler. Mic drop. I loved this.

Rhiyo vs The Kabuki Warriors.

This was great. From the heel work that Asuka did before the Match started, to how this was outlayed. The babyface vs heel dynamic was cleverly woven into this story, as all for ladies have solid chemistry, and I do think that we're going to get Iyo Sky vs Asuka Match at a later date. Rhiyo got the win.

Jevon Evans Meets Ethan Page.

Jevon Evans then looked like he had seen a ghost, when he dumped into Ethan Page. The pair had solid Match later on.

Cm Punk Segment.

This was nothing short of excellent, as Punk Laid bare his tributes to those who work behind the scenes, and those that aren't with us today. He spoke from the heart as over the past six months he's lost friends, and he's going to need the fans to help get him through losing the WWE Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. This was when Cody Rhodes came out sporting one hell of a shiner. I could go about how great this was, because it was just that, but when you dig beneath the surface this is WWE's next big storyline, and if you build this right, then this is your Mania 43 headliner, if you give this the proper time that it needs and deserves.

Finn Balor and JD Mcdonagh Vingette.

Finn Balor went through his history with JD Mcdonagh, that has spanned over 20 years. I'm not the biggest fan of JD's for reasons that I can't talk about online.

Ethan Page vs Jevon Evans.

This was a solid Match, however it was worked to crickets from the fans in Las Vegas. I've got to say it. I felt bad for these two, because this meant it would be difficult when it comes to getting fans on side. Jevon got the win, even though we got appearances from Penta making the save, and Rusev attacking Jevon, all of this just felt flat. Rusev want's Gold, and I want a PS5, and an overpriced replica belt, but that's not going to happen now is it. This did nothing for me.

Liv Morgan Segment.

Liv came out with her Judgement Day family, and her promo ran like a shot gun call to my eardrums. She thanked her family, and her fans, this was when Sol Ruca came out, and after Liv looked apalled. Adam Pearce said the pair will have an impromptu Match. This was a non title Match, that worked, and i'm going to be honest. I liked this. Liv got the win. Stephanie Vaquer then came out and stood on the the top of the rampway, so this awful feud must continue.

Brock Lesnar Career Tribute.

We then got a tribute to a man who's been mentioned 44 times in a sex trafficking lawsuit. Why?

The Vision Segment.

This was incredibly poor, and went on for way two long. The verbalage, and beat down segment was pathetic. Paul Heyman, and Logan Paul came across as unlikeable, and with no charisma, as Heyman pooped all over the words of Cm Punk from earlier, whilst Logan took shots at influencers, basically Pot calling the kettle black, this was tone def, and not even the return of Bron Breakker could save this segment from being flat as a pancake. The returning Street Profits made the save, joining forces with Seth Rollins, saving him from a beatdown from Bron, who was busted open the hard way accidentally by Seth. This went on for far too long, as it lasted for nearly 20 minutes. This wasn't for me

Finn Balor vs JD Mcdonagh.

Finn Balor, beat JD Mcdonagh, in what was a decent TV Match, and was then attacked by Dominik Mysterio in the aftermath, so this feud is another one that must continue.

Gunther And LA Knight Segment.

I'm going to be honest. I don't where you take these two after WrestleMania. I guess that's the best part of fantasy booking.

Roman Reigns segment.

The Camera went to the back, and a Hummer was seen showing up, and out came our new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. This segment brought the show back around, as the Las Vegas fans acknowledged him, and his cousins. This segment focused on the power of family, and how they're are stronger together. This brought out Jacob Fatu, who stated that he wants what Roman has because this is the differance when it comes to having a better life. So he challenged his cousin to a Championship Match at Backlash. Jacob is on the hunt for validation, but the question is this. Can he handle the preassure of acknowledging his cousin? This was as flawless as a WWE can get for an after WrestleMania segment. I have to say I liked this.

Monday Night Raw After WrestleMania Overview.

This was a by the standards of WWE, a mixed bag. And as a reset show, most of what I saw felt like a boring version of things that I've seen before. However all was not lost as the NXT call ups, and segments made this a worthwhile watch.

The Monday NigRaw After WrestleMania 2026 is a average 7/10.

 WWE WrestleMania Night 2. 20.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

As the sun settled on what was a controversial Saturday Night Mania. I decided to take a look at X, and see what the thoughts and feelings were towards the show. I get that a lot of fans didn't like the first night, and my opinions must've gone down like a bottle of confusion. My thoughts remain the same, so the only thing that I will say is this. Like what you like, and if others don't agree with you, then that's perfectly ok. Being differant is one of the best things in life, because this is how the world works.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Trick Williams. Rhea Ripley. Jade Cargill, and Cm Punk were all seen showing up to the stadium.

Linmanuel Miranda Hype Video.

I'm not giving Linmanuel the time of day, because he hasn't given my what I want. Dominik Mysterio the musical. You could even name it. My Dad Is A Deadbeat.

More John Cena.

I don't know about you guys, I'm kind of done with John Cena. He came across like a rentable version of 1980's He Who Shall Not Be Named.

Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar.

This was a great way to kick off the free hour for the North American market on ESPN. Oba obliterated Brock in just 4.25 seconds. This what it needed to be. Brock was visibly pissed off at points, this played into the story, and it's eventful outcome. Oba beat Brock, in what was the correct booking decision. Brock then laid his gloves, and boots in the ring in the aftermath symbalising his final moments in WWE, this was later confirmed that Brock has retired from WWE. My thoughts. Has Brock got a storied history with WWE, yes, however that comes with an asterix these days, due to him being mentioned 44 times in the Janelle Grant sex trafficking lawsuit. I personally don't care for Brock, due to this reason, and I think that it's wrong that the mainstream media aren't talking about this aspect, going into the build. Look I get it, due to legal reasons, but this does say a lot about how we treat these issues, when it comes to how the world looks at the media, conversations need to start, so that this industry can learn how to move forward, and better itself.

Six Pack Ladder Match WWE Intercontinental Championship.

This was the start of what would be a good run of Matches, and given the fact that night one was so derided, Matches like this acted like glue, holding together the vital pieces of fabric, in order to make PLE's so special. I loved this. Penta managed to retain his belt, whilst besting the likes of Rey Mysterio. Rusev. JD Mcdonagh. Jevon Evans, and. Dragon Lee, in what was a sensational Match. As I sat back and watched this, I was reminded of the early MITB Matches that used to take place on the Mania cards, before it became its own PLE. We had Rey Mysterio put Rusev through a ladder, in a sick looking spot. JD Mcdonagh gave Dragon Lee an awesome looking Spanish Fly from the top of a ladder, and Jevon Evans giving Rusev an OG Cutter, that looked like a coast to coast, well timed manouver. This was excellent.

Sami Zayn vs Trick Williams WWE United States Championship Match.

I liked this. The result was what it needed to be. The entrances were a study in contrast. Sami came to his standard music, whilst Trick was led out by Lil Yachty, and a large oversized coat, I mean did you see it, the length took up most of the rampway. The Match itself was excellent, as the heel vs babyface dynamic was played to a decent creschendo, as Sami's heel turn looms. Trick Williams is our new WWE United States Champion, and this was incredibly special as his mum and dad sat at ringside.

Demon Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio Street Fight.

This wasn't for me. I was never a massive fan of Finns alter ego character, from it's early premise when he was Prince Devitt in NJPW, and it didn't work when he came over to WWE, on the main roster. His NXT run as this character made sense, after he was sensibly booked by HHH. This Match felt like a Monday Night Raw Match being played out on a PLE. Finn got the win after he gave Dom a coup de grace through a table. The multiple weapon spots felt forced, and a bit predictable.

Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley.

Who was that guy on Commentary? The Match didn't work for me. I'm a massive Rhea Ripley fan, and from the word go. I got the sense that something was up, because this felt very anticlimatic, and heatless. This was due to the fact that this was another TV Match being played out on a PLE. This came from the aspect that distractions decided who came away with the big prize. Bfab, and. Michin stood up for Jade, whilst Iyo Sky supported Rhea. This allowed Rhea to win the big prize, and become our new WWE Womens Champion.

More John Cena.

Who wants more of John Cena? Oh what is that no one, yeah that's what I thought. He told us the fabricated numbers for both nights combined 106.072, whilst Sunday apparently draw in 55.252, yeah once again I smell bs. The Miz, and. Kit Wilson tried to upstage John, so enter stage left Danhausen, and his mini Hausens. If you don't laugh watching Kit get dominated by the Mini Hausens, and Miz getting smacked in the family maker, then I don't know what to tell you. John loved it, as he brought us into the main event.

Roman Reigns vs Cm Punk WWE Heavyweight Championship.

Like the theme of how WWE Mania entrances go. The pair that introduced our main event competitors was another study in contrast. Roman was brought out by classically trained musicians, as images of his family came up on the screen, whilst Punk paid tribute to his ROH days, as AFI's Miseria Cantare played out over the images of the Las Vegas skyline. Punk came to gorilla, as he was given the walkthrough treatment, as moments from his career played out. As both men looked at each other, you could get the sense that we could be getting something special. So I turned my phone off, so I could  get a grip on what I was viewing. Punk stood at the top of the ramp stoic, as he breathed all of his surroundings in. Both men were locked in from here, as the battle of TKO vs WWE played out. Punk taking the side as one of HHH's guys, and. Roman doing the didding for his cousin. As the drama amplified, and Punk got busted open when Roman hit him with some steel steps, to both men kicking out of Spheres. Gts's, and. Superman punches, as the announcers table spots brought an end to proceedings, as exhaustion kicked in. The battle of exhaustion became the story of the back end of the Match, as Punk gave in, and Roman stood tall after giving Punk his final Sphere to get the win. In the moments after this Match. Roman went on the Mania aftershow, and he told Joe Tessatore, that he's signed a new deal, and that we're going to be seeing him a lot more as the Summer starts, and beyond. This was a sensational way to end the weekend.

Overview Of WWE WrestleMania Night 2.

To a lot of fans, when you look at how night 1 played out. Night 2, takes the place of day vs night. I get the reasons why there was a lot of fan hate being labelled at TKO, but it didn't take away my enjoyment of the weekend, and as Mania Night 2 becomes a distant memory, we should look at the positives over the negatives, as the aspects of future storytelling, and reasons to be excited start to take a clear look. Punk vs Cody next year. Rhea vs Iyo, and of course the potential retirement of Rey Mysterio. The next year is going to be very interesting.

WWE WrestleMania Night 2 is a solid 8/10.

WWE WrestleMania Night One Review. 19.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Lin Manuel Miranda Opening Hype Video.

This Hype Video did work, but i'm not the biggest of Lin, because he promised something, and didn't deliver on it. I'm still waiting for Dominik Mysterio the musical. Not cool Miranda, not cool.

John Cena Is Hour Host Of WrestleMania.

John Cena kicked off the show, as this years host of the two night affair, and as he made his way to the ring, it finally hit me that he has retired, because he walked to the ring, and didn't run, plus he was dressed like a best man at a wedding. John talked about how the build to this years Mania could be described as chaotic, and at that point my eyes rolled to the back of my head, just like The Deadman, because this sounded utterly tone def, and fake, but what did I expect, because Ari Emmanuel is John's agent. I didn't like this.

The Usos And LA Knight vs The Vision And Ishowspeed.

From the outset I got the feeling that something was off, and it was due to the entrances. The Usos came through the crowd, and. LA Knight turned up in jacked up car. This couldn't be said about The Vision, and Ishowspeed, who came out to cut screens, and a Large cloth, that made me think of the band Thirty Seconds To Mars. The Usos, and. Knight looked good, whilst The Vision, and. Ishowspeed were made to look cheap. I've got to say it the Match wasn't for me. I felt that it failed to get over any form of urgentcy, and this is what you need from an opening Match on any card. I do get why this went on first, because of WWE's partnership with ESPN in North America, and given the fact that this could also bring in another audience that may not watch WWE, alongside Ishowspeeds following, this wasn't a strong outing, and if i'm being honest I was bored watching this. The Usos And LA Knight got the win, after a major mix up for Logan Paul And Ishowspeed. This caused Logan to eat an announcers table, after Ishow hit a frogsplash from the top Turnbuckle, going coast to coast. This was a cool way to end a dud of a Match.

Drew Mcintyre vs Jacob Fatu Unsanctioned Match.

From this point on the show got better. I liked all of this. From Jacob playing into the lore of the toolbox. Drew having fun with his brothers phone at ringside, fun referee moments including some belt spots that made me think how was his pants staying up, and the sparadic weapon spots that were woven into the story of the Match. This allowed for the Match to have time to breathe, as Jacob took home the win, after he hit Drew with a Moonsault through the table. The toolbox lore spots were the best part of this Match, as it took me back to the Mania 16, when HHH was terrified of Mick Foleys Barbwire two by four.

WWE Womens Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way.

On Friday Evening, around 11pm UK time. I checked out reports on X, and it was being heavily rumored that Saraya Beavis aka Paige was in Las Vegas, this was then cooberated by Major Pro Wrestling news outlets. This was confirmed as true, when she took the place of Brie Bella, who wasn't medically cleared to compete, after she injured her ankle recently. Paige joined Nikki, as they beat. Team Blair. The Irrestible Forces, and. Bayley And Lyra Valkyria. To become the new WWE Womens Tag Team Champions. The Match played the way it should've done. The Matches within the Match were flash back from a by gone era, and it was nice to see, whilst the physicality didn't let up. I liked this, as the emotion was written all over Paige's face. A few years ago I met Saraya over AEW All In weekend, and she couldn't have been nicer, so im wishing her all the success in the world. Paige's first run with the WWE didn't exactly run smoothly, due to controversial incidents, which weren't all her fault, so i'm wishing her the best on this go around.

Becky Lynch vs AJ Lee WWE womens Intercontinental Championship.

I had high hopes going into this Match, and they were only just about met. Becky was walked by The Wonder Years who performed her entrance music as she came to the ring, whilst AJ skipped out aided by kids. The Match played into their rivalry's backstory. From using the same Referee Jessica Carr, as she tried to foil Becky's heel plan. This became the arc of the story of the Match which came into existance in it's final stages. Becky slammed AJ's head into an exposed turnbuckle, and hit her with a man handleslam for the win. We have a new WWE Womens Intercontinental Champion, and The Man is on top again. I liked this.

Gunther vs Seth Rollins.

I loved this, and it was by far my Match of the night. I get why some fans didn't get why this was on the card, due to it's build, but when you take a look at this, and how it played out. This was perfect to me. The main story of the Match focused on who's the best, and it worked. This was a physical tour de force, from Gunther suplexing Seth, and then chopping his chest to the point that it looked like roast ham, and both men fighting on the announcers table, and of course there's the return of Bron Breakker, who sphered Seth after running around the ring. The near falls, and submission attempts played into the drama of the Match, However Brons return gave Gunther the upperhand as he choked out Seth for the win. Bron then ran the length of the rampway, and tried to take out Seth.

HOF Class Of 2026.

AJ Styles was upstaged by Stephanie Mcmahon. I hated all of this. I'm convinced that the thank you Vince chants were piped in at the ceremony.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Liv Morgan WWE Womens Championship.

One of the biggest problems with this show, was how long the Matches were given. This Match lasted for just under 7 minutes. I don't have an issue with short Matches, because Pro Wrestling is something that needs to be treated through the eyes of the beholder, but I do get the complaints. From Liv Cosplaying as Britney Spears from her year 2000 stronger era, to this acting as a lofi affair, as both ladies scrambled to get their stuff in, as imitaion became the Matches backstory. This wasn't for me. Liv Got the win, and is our new WWE Womens Champion. I thought that this was a bit rushed.

John Cena Is Back.

John Cena told us that 50.816 were in attendance. Yeah I smell bs on this one, because if you look at Wrestletix on X Night 1 had sold 45.000 tickets roughly. So yeah, Ouch.

Bianca Belair Is Back And She's Going Away Again.

After John was done outcome Bianca Belair, who was decked head to toe in a blue dress. She then told the world that she and Montez Ford are expecting their first child together. This is amazing news, and I would just like to wish both of them the best of luck.

Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton WWE Undisputed Championship.

As the hype video was soundtracked by Black Veil Brides, this became the Backdrop as to what we were about to see. There entrances didn't just tell the story of a 20 year rivalry mixed in with friendship, it acted like a anthology that could have been created by Marvel or DC Comics. From Pat Mcafe getting booed out of the Stadium, and then getting taken out by Cody, and our savior JellyRoll, as he went through announcers table. To the Match needing to be what it was, it followed the template of what I wanted this Match to be, fun with added stench of blood. This did what it needed to do, as the dynamic of heel vs face was given time to breathe. Cody got the win, and retained. This was a lot of fun to watch at 3am in the morning. We had ref bumps, and Pat Mcafe in a refs costume complete with Comedy neck brace. In the aftermath of the Match Cody was smacked with the belt, and was then punted in the head by Randy Orton. It's been reported by the likes of Bryan Alvarez, and. Sean Ross Sapp, that Cody is now in WWE's concussion protocol after the move went wrong. The image of the heel standing tall is something that wasn't needed, but WWE can pull this around as the story is set to continue.

Overview Of WWE WrestleMania 42 Night 1.

With the opener put to oneside, this was an enjoyable evening of Pro Wrestling. The main event was solid. Seth and Gunther stole the show. Drew and Jacob was also excellent, and the focus on Womens Pro Wrestling wasn't just needed it was pivitol. This indeed was a great night.

WWE WrestleMania Night 42 1 Is a solid 8/10.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Review. 18.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Superstars Seen Showing Up To Work.

Jade Cargill, and her group of baddies. Rhea Ripley. Team Blair. Trick Williams, and. Bayley and Lyra were all seen showing up to the arena.

Randy Orton Segment.

Pat Mcafe was seeen dropping off Randy Orton like a proud parent, in what was a big looking Ram Truck. Randy then stepped into the ring, and cut a very good heel promo, as he blamed Cody of being a taker, and not a giver. I liked this. Pat drove him and Randy off, as that big old Truck goes towards Mania. I get that a lot of fans don't like Pat Mcafe, this told me that WWE have listened, because his screen time was very minimal on this broadcast.

The MFT's vs The Wyatt Sic 8 Man Street Fight.

I liked this. As the way of how TV Street Fights go, this one was very cohesive, and it worked from the layout, all the way to the Matches within the Match. This led to Nikki Cross going airbourne, and. Solo getting the win with a spike to Uncle Howdy.

R Truth Segment.

R Truth don't you ever change. He got Australia confused with England to the point that must've turned cross eyed. Damien Priest how is he not corpsing on live TV.

Miz And Maryse Wedding Vows Renewal.

What do you get when you add cake, upset children, Kit Wilson as a priest, and. Danhausen cursing people? If you're answer was pure silly comedy, then you would be right. I loved this.

Jacob Fatu Segment Of The Night.

I loved this. A police car was seen showing to the car park, and into the arena, and as it went onto the stage outcame Jacob Fatu. This was by far one of the best segments of the night. Jacob went to town on calling out Drew Mcintyre, and when Night 1 of Mania arrives, he won't be able to hide from Jacob, because no one will be able to save him during their unsanctioned Match. This was fantastic.

R Truth And Damien Priest vs Kofi Kingston And Grayson Waller WWE Tag Team Championship.

This was a bit of fun, and a good way to get Priest And Truth on the card. The pair retained.

Jade Cargill And Rhea Ripley.

This was excellent. It's no secret that I haven't been a big fan of this build, but this segment was great. Once Bfab, and. Michin had stepped away, both of these ladies had a fantastic promo dual. Now what I have to say is about fans who leave awful things about Pro Wrestlers on social media. Leave Rhea alone. It's never ok to bring anyones weight. Rhea has opened up about battling a eating disorder, and I think that it's important to talk about these issues, because if we can talk about them, then those that are affected can get help. So leaving awful messages doesn't help anyone. So with said, think before you post. It's really not that difficult.

Tiffany Stratton vs Jordynne Grace. No1 Contenders For The WWE United States Championship.

Tiffany Stratton, beat Jordynne Grace, in what was a solid TV Match. I think it's a shame that tiffany isn't on the Mania Card.

Trick Williams Segment.

I liked this, from the main theme of respect, to the added edition of the Gingerbread Man, this had me thinking of the words. Do you know The Muffin Man. The Muffin Man who lives on Drury Lane. Yes The Muffin Man. I loved this segment as it worked to put over both mens securities, and insecurities. That poor Gingerbread Man, he did not deserve getting a hellouva kick. Gingerbread Men are loved here in the O'malley household.

Team Blair vs Lyra Valkyria And Bayley.

I didn't like this, because the Match got thrown out, thanks to Lash Legend, and Nia Jax. If rumours are to be Believed. Saraya Beavis, aka Paige is in Las Vegas. Now I wonder why.

The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Royce Keys, beat 19 other men to take home the oversized statue of Andre. WWE have done a great job building up Royce throughout the broadcast, which included an emotional video, which paid tribute to his late Mother, this was an incredibly emotional moment, and was superbly put together by WWE. Oh and hello Joe Hendry.

Cody Rhodes Segment.

From allowing the fans to chant go home Pat. Cody was on fire, as he flipped the script on Randy's prior segment from earlier in the evening. Cm Punk came out, and the pair didn't just have a great Promo Dual, they laid bare what we could be getting at Mania 43 next year in Saudi Arabia next year, with a year to build to it. Now this is how you send the fans home happy heading into one of the biggest shows of the year.

Overview Of This Weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

This is the best that WWE Friday Night Smackdown has looked in weeks, and given the fact the past two weeks shows have been at such a low bar, anything at this point would be passable. WWE has found it cohesion again, and if this broadcast is anything to go by, then I think we might be in for one hell of a steller weekend. Sit tight, and strap yourselves in, because things are going to get very interesting.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a decent 7/10.

AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthrough Review. 16.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Now This Is How You Start An Episode Of Weekly TV.

As the broadcast started off. MJF was seen showing up to the arena, whilst April Jones, aka. Renee Paquette, tried to get a word with him, and as it turns out, he's got no idea that Darby wants his title shot tonight. Don Callis then stepped and told Max that Andrade failed to do the job. Max didn't see the Match on Sunday, because he was getting ready to face Kenny Omega. This led to a tease, I thought that we were kicking off the broadcast with the AEW Heavyweight Championship, but what we got was a segment between MJF, and. Darby Allin. Max stopped the proceedings, and tried to protest to having to defend his Championship. This was a promo tour de force, and a fantastic dual from both men. Bryan Danielson then got the word from Tony Khan, and he said that Tony agrees with Max, and he needs time to prepare, so this is why he made this the main event. I loved this segment. Darby's passion was on full display and it was great to see.

Kenny Omega Moment.

The cameras caught up with Kenny Omega after Dynasty this past Sunday, and he was sitting in the trainers room, next to Will Osperay. DON'T TOY WITH ME TONY.

Tommaso Ciampa vs Dazmond Xavier.

This was a solid outing for both men, that delivered on good Pro Wrestling in ring work. Ciampa got the win, and guess what he wants Gold.

FTR Segment.

I loved this. I couldn't stop laughing when watching as. Dax Harwood said that Cope And Cage have no chance in getting their hands on their Championships. Stokeley Hathaway took shots at other promotions Tag Teams, as the fans asked, has he had any ladies of the night, and Cash Wheeler led the fans into a 10 second pose, as a way of paying tribute to Cope And Cage. 13 year old Patrick O'malley had a massive laugh, and a smile on his face, when watching this. 38 Year old me also had a laugh when watching this before he went to his day job.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Kevin Knight AEW TNT Championship.

This was a great balance of styles, as european stiff work, mixed well with the American high flying. Both men showed that they were perfect foils for each other. Kevin Knight got the win, and then took to the mic in the aftermath, and guess what? He wants Gold aswell. This is how you line up contenders.

Chris Jericho Segment.

None of this lasted with me. I'm not the biggest fan of Chris Jericho these days, and his interaction with Ricochet was woefully unfunny. Can we please stop doing bald jokes. This didn't work.

Okada And Takeshita Segment.

Am I the only person who had the song why can't we be friends, as this played out. Their Match at Double Or Nothing should bang.

Will Osperay vs Hechicero.

I loved this. The Match looked like the main centre of a Mexico vs Britain indy Match, and it was glorious. This leant into how the Match played. Wills selling was once again the main focus, as he sold over multiple body parts. Whilst I watched this. I got shades of watching Will in 2017-18 NJPW, and online working the UK Indy's during this period, because this was great. Will got the win, as Marina Shafir watched on. Jon Moxley had plenty to say about this Match.

Thekla Segment.

Thekla and Alex WINDSOR had a fantastic promo dual, and then The Sisters Of Sin attacked The Brawling Bird. I would like to see Jamie Hayter crowned as Womens Champion at All In. The pair will meet on Collision tonight.

AEW TBS Championship Willow Nightingale vs Kamille.

This didn't land with me. The in ring work was good, I just felt that something just was off. Willow retained. This is nothing against the workers, because I like both ladies.

MJF vs Darby Allin AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

This has split fans down the middle online. My thoughts. The Match lasted for just over two minutes, and the teases were fairly obvious from the word go, and when you look at how the Match ended, this plays into their lore, dating back to their first meetings in late September of 2021, all the way through to their Match at Full Gear from that same year. Having the belt go from MJF like this, also plays into the MJF character, because this shows that he's getting his just deserts. I get why some fans don't like this, but it's not the first time that this has happened in the Pro Wrestling industry. WWE have done this with Brock Lesnar on multiple occassions, and AEW have done this with Cm Punk. It's all about were you go next, and who Darby faces in the coming weeks, he might end up being a transitional champion, we just don't know how this is going to play out. The Match, happened at the top of the hour. Darby got the win by playing into their history, and beat Max with reverse headlock, after giving him 4 Coffin drops. I personally liked this, but I do get why some fans might feel differant.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthrough.

This was a news worthy edition of weekly TV, and a strong follow up to one of AEW's best PPV's of the year so far. I get that how MJF's title reign ended has left some divided, so with that said all I have to say is this. Pro Wrestling is very subjective, and we all have differant tastes, so please be respectful to those who are differant to you. In my opinion This was one of the best episodes of Dynamite this year, and a good swerve, and talking point, as we head into one of the biggest weekends in the Pro Wrestling Calender.

AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthrough is another solid 8/10.

 UFC 327 Review ( Delayed Edition ).

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

With the bumper White House card coming up on June 14th, and the solid run in that comes beforehand, you can make the aruguement that this is a make and break situation for the UFC. Even though I have my own issues with the UFC holding an event in same sort of partnership with Donald Trump, I feel that as fans these conversations should be had, but as the year goes on the focus needs to go on the fights that us fans are going to be treated to. So lets take a look at what the main card of UFC 327, and check out what it was all about. Donald trump was sat at ringside throughout the main card.

Cub Swanson vs Nate Landwehr Featherweight.

This puts age on me. Cub Swanson entered the cage for the first time in the Summer of 2007 for the WEC, and I had just turned 20. I'm 39 in June. This was his last outing in MMA, and his fight against Nate Landwehr never made it out of the first round. Cub dominated him from the outset with his crisp boxing, and got the win. His tribute video just reminded of the fact that if you show heart and dedication in anything that you do in life, then you will go far. Now that's something to live by.

Johnny Walker vs Dominick Reyes Light Heavyweight.

I struggled to get into this fight. Walker in the first round was laying in some nasty leg kicks to Reyes's calfs, this led to Walker trying to keep the fight standing. This would be the theme of the fight going into rounds two and three. Dominick Reyes got the win by decision, in what was a tepid round by round fight.

Curtis Blaydes vs Josh Hokit Heavyweight.

If the last fight was tepid, then Curtis Blaydes vs Josh Hokit said hear hold our beers and snacks, because this was a clear contender for fight of the year, let alone the night. Both men in the first round were a study in contrast, from Blaydes trying to take the fight to the ground, whilst Hokit kept things standing. Blaydes also managed get hands on Hokit which caused him to get rocked. This would be the theme for the second and thrd round, but it was Hokit who came away with the win, as this real life version of rockem sockem robots came to a conclusion by decsion. This is my clear fight of the year contender, and afterwards it was confirmed on Dana Whites instagram that Josh Hokit will now be fighting on the White House Card. This makes a lot of sense because this was one of the best heavyweight performances of the past few years, by a long mile.

Azmat Murzakanov vs Paulo Costa Light Heavyweight .

In the early stages of this fight, both men tried to keep things standing. This were Costa performs best, because he wasn't the favourite to get the win. Paulo is an Underdog. His stand up was better than Azmat's, both fighters didn't go to the ground, and as I watched on as the second round went into it's final stages, My thoughts went to the fact that Azmat needed to take Costa down to the ground, because that's were the fight could be won. The third ended fairly quick when Paulo landed a beautiful headkick to the dome of Azmat for the win. Do I like the fact that Paulo Costa is now in the Light Heavyweight, well, yes, but if i'm being honest I feel that he should've made this move after his loss to Israel Adyssanya back in September of 2020. This would have been a better time when you look at his skill set. I just feel that this move has been made a bit too late in his career.

Jiri Prochazka vs Carlos Ulberg UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.

This fight came about because Alex Perreira has moved up to the Heavyweight division, and will now face Ciryl Gane for the Interim Heavy Weight Championship on the June 14th the White House Card, this meant he has vacated the Light Heavy Weight Championship. This meant that this fight had an added sense of drama, because the result would feel fresh, and exciting. Carlos Ulberg is a true warrior in every word. In the first round of the fight he got the win by knockout, after blowing out his knee. He knocked out Prochazka with a swift blow to the chin. Carlos's performance was amazing when you look at it. He blew out his knee, and then won the big prize. You can't make this up.

Overview Of UFC 327.

For my money this was one of the best UFC cards of the year, from fight of the year, and night contenders, the crowning of a new Light Heavyweight Champion, to the emotional goodbye to a legend. This is the UFC at it's best, and you can't fault them at all for this steller card. This has made me excited for the next few months, as we enter the Summer months.

UFC 327 is an excellent 9/10.

 Monday Night Raw Review 14.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Roman Opens Up The Show.

Roman Reigns opened up the show, by giving Cm punk a scolding reminder of who Punk is, and who Roman is. This was absolutely perfect, and the fact it was filmed through a cinematic lense just added to the drama.

Superstars Seen Showing Up To Raw.

Charlotte Flair. Stephanie Vaquer, and. Gunther, were all seen showing up to work, before there Matches later on.

Brock Lesnar Contract Signing.

Adam Pearce, and. HHH stood in the ring, and before Adam could get a word out, he was interrupted by Paul Heyman. Paul brought out all of his normal jargon, promoting his client Brock Lesnar. Brock came out and signed the contract. Oba signed later on. I hated this. It felt very short, and then there's my personal feelings towards Brock Lesnar. This did nothing for me.

Ishowspeed Is In Training.

What do you get if you add The Vision. Ishowspeed, and The Rocky Films, well if your answer was total nonsense, then your right, because this was comically bad. Plus if you take a look at the layout of the venue, then you can tell that this was filmed before NXT Stand And Deliver last Saturday.

Charlotte Flair vs Lyra Valkyria.

This was good, I liked the physicality, and the overall feel of the Match. I've not been the biggest fan of Charlotte Flairs work of late, but this was good. Her and Lyra have decent chemistry, and this worked. Lyra got the win thanks to Bayley.

LA Knight And The Uso's Segment.

I loved this segment, because LA Knight had me howling with laughter. Sending the MFTS back to factory settings, now that's classic. The Uso's found this quite funny deep down.

Stephanie Vaquer Segment.

Stephanie tried to get a word out when she was due to be interviewed by Kathy Kelley, that was until Liv Morgan came out from nowhere, and battered her with the inclusion of Your Mum insults. This feud hasn't been for me, and I think that after Mania, we need to move on from this. Also if you love Liv Morgan, just wait until you see what came later on, because it was certainly a thing.

I Love Heel Asuka.

Am I the only person who loves Heel Asuka. Her vs Iyo Sky at a later date, just makes sense.

The Usos' And LA Knight vs The MFT's.

I thought this was a lot of fun. I get that why this wasn't for everyone, but I had fun watching it. The physicality was fairly solid, and both teams had good chemistry. Also I'm excited to see Tama Tonga as a singles guy. LA Knight got the win with his blunt force trauma finisher, after Tama just showed up from out of nowhere, and had a stairing contest with Solo. First one blink buys the other a PS5.

Gunther Segment.

I loved this. It did the job that it was meant to do. Gunther came out, and Seth instantly attacked him. He took to the mic, and spoke in his pure desperation mode, as he asked Gunther why attacked him. Gunther then spoke facts about why Seth Partnered up with Paul Heyman. This was short, and sweet, because it needed to be.

Iyo Sky vs Kairi Sane.

Kairi Sane, beat. Iyo Sky in a flat TV Match, after a load of shenanigans from. Asuka. Rhea Ripley, and. Jade Cargill. Iyo deserves so much better than this.

Adam Pearce Segment.

Adam Pearce was seen talking backstage with everyone's favourite Crybaby Latino Lover Dominik Mysterio, and he talked some hard truths. Grow Up Dom.

Oba Signs His Contract.

I loved this segment. Oba had a fantastic promo dual with Heyman was fantastic. I could sit here and wax lyrical about this segment, but if i'm honest it wouldn't give Oba Femi anymore hype. Pure magic.

Liv Morgan Music Video.

I despised this. It was like a Miley Cyrus wannabe, sounding like that God awful  Rebecca Black Friday song. I hated this beyond words. Liv, with all due respect Liv, please don't sing. This made me think of the times that i've murdered songs at kareoke.

Jevon Evans And Dragon Lee vs Rusev And JD Mcdonagh.

This actually worked. On paper this looked like a bad idea, but it actually worked. Jevon Evans is a star, and is my favourite for who's going to take the IC Championship this weekend. Jevon and Dragon got the win. I liked this.

Danhausen Segment.

Danhausen doing comedy with John Cena, don't toy with me WWE just book it, because this has me laughing already Like Kent Brockmen.

Roman Reigns And Cm Punk Segment.

This was the highlight of the show, but what else would you expect from these two. Roman asked the fans to acknowledge him, and just like that, out came Cm Punk. Punk walked through the fans, and stood on the announcers table. Punk spoke from an honest place, as the themes of envy, hate, and poor to riches, became the back bone for this go home segment before Sundays Mania main event, as Roman spoke about releventcy, and Punks connection with the fans. This led to Punk apologising for his outspoken ways, when he buried Roman after mentioning his dad. I loved this.

Overview Of WWE Monday Night Raw.

This weeks WWE Monday Night Raw was very flat for a go home show, before one of the biggest PLE's of the year, yes I liked some moments, but overall this was just fine, and that's not good enough.

This weeks WWE Monday Night Raw is a low 5/10.

AEW Dynasty Review. 13.4.2026.

Written By Patrick O'malley.

Intro.

Last night before I went to bed, I decided to take a look at X and get the vibe from wrestletix, at how All In london Ticket sales are doing. The current standing is that AEW have shifted over 22'600 tickets, given the fact that we are just for months out from the show. I feel that's important that AEW puts its best foot forward. Their creative over the past two years has been getting progressively better, as the overall feeling surrounding the promotion has managed to get back on an even keel. As the months continue to tick down AEW needs to keep this momentum going. Wembley is now a ever looming pressence, and it might not be a positive. Time always says, let this play out.

Young Bucks vs Konosuke Takeshita And Kazuchika Okada.

With a potential Match at Double Or Nothing on the line, this Match was mighty tasty, and a good way to kick off the main show. I have to say that I thought the storyline beats that this Match told were sensational, as this allowed the physicality to shine as the star of the Match. Matt Jackson took a cutter to the outside, as the Matches within the Match flowed like water. The final moments saw Konosuke leave his partner behind, as Okada took the pin. Young Bucks got the win, as the theme of can they coexist failed. I liked this. The dynamic between both teams was great. Now lets get onto the negatives.

Chris Jericho vs Ricochet.

I didn't like this. It's no secret that i'm not a big fan of Chris Jericho, and I have my own thoughts about him returning to AEW. If you go back to early January from this year. WWE where going all out in leaving Jericho sized Easter Eggs, however this got put to bed last week when the 57 year old returned to TV on Dynamite. I think WWE know something that we don't, and I think it goes back to the issues that I can't talk about on line. The Match to me felt tiring to watch, as it showed that Jerichos style hasn't evolved, and that Ricochet had to work hard to get a Match out of him. This explained why GOA caused so many distractions. Ricochet got the win, and if i'm being honest. I thought this Match was lifeless.

Darby Allin vs Andrade El Idolo.

This felt like a step back in the right direction. The Match told a simple story. Darby becoming obsessed with getting to the top. This Match was awesome. From the moments when Andrade was drop kicked down the arena stairs in the seats. Darby reversing a spanish fly into a crossface, to Darby taking a nasty looking suplex to the outside. The near falls were fantastic, and performed at a solid rate. This allowed Darby to get the win by Roll Up, and will now face the winner of the main event this Wednesday on Dynamite.

Cage And Cope vs FTR AEW Tag Team Championship Match.

This was a hard hitting bloodsoaked affair, that didn't let up from the start, until it's finish. The fans were on another level when their fellow countrymen came out, as this got even more hyped as both teams in ring work continued to get better. Adam got busted open with a belt shot from both Dax, and. Cash, and his final efforts of Champion spirit backfired, as his spheres left him in a vunreble situation. Christian was on the outside after FTR played the isolation game, tying him up in cables on the outside of the ring. This allowed FTR to hit him with a shatter machine for the win. I liked this. As the early stages played out I realised one thing. I've never heard a Metalingus pop in person. I can't wait until August 30th.

Casino Gauntlet Match For The AEW TNT Championship.

I'm not the biggest fan of this type stipulation when it normally happens on TV, because you can tell that the timing isn't always right. However when they take place on PPV, this is when AEW iron out all of the creases. I liked this. As Kevin Knight beat. Tomasso Ciampa. Rush. Bandido. Speedball Mike Bailey. El Clon. Daniel Garcia. Anthony Bowens, and. Wheeler Yuta to become the new AEW TNT Championship. This was a sublime reminder that when AEW book these type of Matches, they can get them right. This was caused after Kyle Fletcher was forced to vacate the belt due to injury.

Thekla vs Jamie Hayter AEW Womens Championship.

The fans sounded exhausted during this Match, and as a whole, this caused the show to slow slightly, and it's not the fault of the ladies. The build got lost in the shuffle on the road to this PPV, and the positioning on the card was a bit strange. However the in ring work was great, and both ladies tried their hasrdest to get the fans on side. Before the start of this card, I wasn't the biggest fan of Thekla, but after watching this, and her recent work on Collision, i'm starting to come around on her. She's slowly becoming one of my favourite females to watch. Thekla is like a female HBK, because her kicks were on point, and. Jamie Hayter is like a young female Kurt Angle, because if you add these things together, you get Gold. It's just a shame that the fans weren't into this. Thekla retained by cheating. Am I the only person who thinks that this could be an audition piece for Wembley.

AEW Continental Championship Will Osperay vs Jon Moxley.

From the start of the Match, I could tell that we were in for something special. The eye for detail that was on display was great. On entrance you could tell that something was unsettling Will, because he staired daggers through Renee Paquette, as she did her best April Jones impersonation. Will wasted no time in giving Jon a hidden blade within seconds of the Match starting, this ment that we were seeing what a vengeful Osperay looks like. Revenge was the theme of the Match, and it played this way. This nearly became my Match of the night, the speed of how the story blended in with the physicality, was pure magic. The timing of how both Will and. Jon counteracted each others moves was also excellent, as the time limit was drawing to a close, the near falls were incredible. This was sublime storytelling being served up to the masses. Jon got the win, and i've heard some fans speculate what this means for Wembley, and. Wills possible directions. I don't think that this will damage Wills momentum. When you take a look at how the booking is taking shape for Double Or Nothing, it's clear that AEW are gearing up for a Stadium Stampede Match, between The Deathriders, and. NJPW's United Empire, and normally when these Match stipulations playout, in the aftermath they spin off in several differant directions. So I think Will might just be alright.

The Conglomeration vs The Dogs.

I wasn't a fan of this. It just felt a bit rushed, and you know what I was right. Does anyone remember the awful sitcom that they came from SMTV Live Chums here in the UK, when The Conglomeration entered I got those vibes, oh and welcome back Kyle O'reilly. This Match felt a bit flat, and I couldn't get past that. The energy between all six men felt all over the place. The end was brought on quickly due to a real injury to Gabe Kidd. It was then confirmed by Tony Khan that Kidd will be out indefinately going forward. The Conglomeration got the win, and instantly i knew that something was wrong. It was nice to see Kyle back, after he lost his dad.

Kenny Omega vs MJF AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

I had questions going into this Match. Was this MJF vs Kenny Omega? Was this MJF vs The Cleaner? MJF vs The Best Bout Machine, or was this MJF vs The God Of Pro Wrestling? No, this was a complete over delivery of complete excellence, that was served up to fans. This was sensational. Both men on entrance looked like a study in contrast. Kenny's clear blue sky looking like crashing  water, giving way to the cold pits of hell, as MJF came from under the stage, on what looked like a throne of thornes. This was a forty minute ironman stretch, that proved that imitation is the best form of flattery. Both men threw everything at each other, and this was becoming one of my Matches of the year. From both men kicking out of V triggers. Package Piledrivers, and. Tombstone Piledrivers. This was awesome, and the fans loved it. MJF got the win, and retained his belt, after he hit Kenny with his Heatseaker finisher, after trying to cheat with his Dynamite Gold ring. This was an awesome story, that captilised on its delivery. I loved this.

Overview Of AEW Dynasty 2026.

This was a great AEW PPV, with minor moments that didn't leave me with any inspiration. I loved the main event, and most of the card, and i'm feeling excited about AEW going into the Summer months. Bring on Wembley.

AEW Dynasty 2026 is a strong 8/10.

AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 Review 25.5.26. Written By Patrick O'malley. Intro. As this year has gone on, and the Summer is slowly creep...
