AEW Dynamite Review 19.3.2026.

By Patrick O'malley

Will Osperay vs Blake Christian

I've heard some complaints online about this Match, and all I have to say is this. It's perfectly ok for Will to work at a 50% rate. In September of last year Will underwent spinal fusion surgery, which is something that normally keeps athletes out for at least a year, and the fact that Will has come back in less time is nothing short of amazing. Will got the win, and then proceeded to call out Jon Moxley. Will said that he's going to snap Jon's f****** neck with his bare hands. This led to a brawl that threatened to cancel the following Match. The Bang Bang Gang looked they were lost, because Pac and Will just thought like they were Hal From Malcolm In The Middle. Wills selling of his neck was excellent.

The Bang Bang Gang vs The Deathriders.

I'm in two minds with this Match. on one hand i'm glad that it has nothing to do with the TDCWO, and on the other hand, I thought this wasn't bad, even if it was lifeless. The Deathriders got the win.

Kenny Omega Segment.

Kenny Omega then called out Swerve Strickland, and then challenged him to a match. ( more on this later)

Darby Allin vs Gabe Kidd Coffin Match.

Oh my, this was chaotic. From the vingnette being soundtracked by one of my favourite bands ever Slaaaaaaaaaaaaaayer, Kidd wanting Darby to come out to the Parking lot, and just like that it went to 180. From an actually car crash. A man getting brought back into the arena on a random piece of sound equipment. This was a reminder that when AEW wants to, they can go all out bats*** crazy. Darby then persisted to humiliate Gabe by dressing him in a straight jacket, and slapping him like he was being tortured. Gabe would then smack Darby into the ring steps after he came two, busting him open. This would take the match into its final stages, as Darby's skateboard was used as a weapon. Darby got the win after he torpedo dived into Gabe, placing trapped in the coffin. I've got to admit it, the pre filmed stuff was heavily edited, and it worked in a psychotic weird way. I liked this. Darby then called MJF in the aftermath.

Lucha Express Are On There Travels.

( insert old school Postman Pat theme song ) Postman Perry. Postman Perry, and. Luchasaurus, he's sold his blacked out van, for something that's heavily nature friendly. I liked this montage, they even stopped for some petrol, and they didn't even buy a bag of more to share Malteasers, and a couple of bottles of Mountain Dew. The Young Bucks said that they would be getting back to winning ways tonight.

Swerve Strickland segment.

Prince Nana brought out his boss, to answer Kenny Omega's challenge, and what came next was simply awesome. Swerve sat in the middle of the ring, with just a spotlight on him, he went straight to business, he stated that he wants Kenny's power, because this is something that has held him down during his career, from the army, to WWE. This is something that he now craves, so he said that he would put his No1 Contendership on the line, if Kenny puts his EVP position on the line. Kenny vs Swerve 2 will go down on next week Dynamite. Next Thursday Morning is going to be awesome. I loved this segment.

Mark Davis vs Speedball Mike Bailey.

I liked this. The Dynamic of big vs small was played out to full effect. This is an essential dynamic in Pro Wrestling, and done well it can be a solid watch. This Match fell into that category. I loved there chemistry, and as the Match went into it's final stages, you could tell that both men were loving having this time spot. Speedball got the win.

MJF Segment.

This was filmed after his Classic Texas Death Match this past Sunday against Hangman Adam Page, and this was no notes perfect. I hear that Disneyland is nice at this time of year. Less tourists, or so I hear.

Marina Shafir vs Mina Shirakowa No Holds Barred Match.

Mina was brought in to take the place of Toni Storm, who was seen before the Match in earlier shot footage, having been beaten up. Now I wonder who could've done that. This felt a bit flat to me. The spots just felt like something that was just there, and this dragged down the quality of the Match. Mina got the win for her fallen friend. The Toni stuff is just a Ronda tease.

By Orders of The Andrade Blinders.

Renee Paquette was interviewing Andrade Selby. I mean El Idolo, and she pulled up her phone to show Don Callis calling in via facetime to say that the TDCWO is now in business with MJF, So I expect Darby Allin to get taken out at some point.

The Elite vs Ropongi Vice And Kazuchika Okada.

I liked this. As the early stages played out, two things went through my mind, the first was the fact that it should be illegal for party Matches like this to be this awesome, and the second was. Be still my NJPW, and. 2017 loving ROH Heart. This was fantastic, all six men packed in there moves, as the Matches within the Match, paved the way for the finish. The Elite getting the win. In the aftermath Matt and Nick took to the mic, and bared their thoughts on how they were going to gain back the AEW World Tag Team Championships, they spoke about how they had lost their self belief, and the fact that family ties is what will drive them. This brought out Cope and Cage, and just like that 13 year old Patrick felt very excited. This had fans chanting holys***, and it was well deserved. I could sit here and talk about this word for word, but when you dig beneath the surface, this dual was about respect, and how they're going to strip down FTR. This brought out FTR, Big Stoke was told to shut up, and just like that It was on. FTR vs Cope And Cage 2 at Dynasty, now this sounds awesome. Never tell a glorious man to shut up.

Overview of AEW Dynamite.

I liked this show. This felt like a build up to a table setting episode, and it worked to a degree.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high solid 7/10.
