WWE Monday Night Raw Review. 26.5.26.
Written By Patrick O'malley.
Paul Heyman Segment.
The show kicked off with Paul Heyman coming out to introduce a hype video for Brock Lesnar. The video was a onesided viewing of a man who was told to come back after his fake retirement. This was awful. It was predictable, it was shameful, and I feel this needs to be called out. I can't stand the idea of WWE pushing Brock on fans, after he was mentioned 44 times in a sex trafficking lawsuit. I understand why this rematch has to happen, but Oba Femi deserves better, and so do the fans. Oba looked strong when he came and cornered Paul Heyman, but this will never be a good look, when anyone is paired with Lesnar because of what we know.
Superstar Arrivals.
Roman Reigns. Jacob Fatu. Rey Mysterio, and. The Judgement Day were all seen showing up for their shifts.
Penta vs Jevon Evans WWE IC Championship.
I liked this. From Jevon taking a nasty looking bump to the announcers table. Both men hosting their own meet and greet, and Jevon proving that he's starting to have no back, because apron bump looked like it sucked to take. This led to a great final exchange that saw penta get the win with a Canadian Destroyer.
Austin Theory Is On Warpath.
Oh look everyone Austin Theory is angry, and he's going to take out everyone who has an issue with Logan Paul. This meant that Angelo Dawkins would get it, and a man that has made me check my house, so that he doesn't just appear from out of nowhere would also get it. Sing it everyone Paul. Paul. Paul, can we fire Logan Paul.
Seth Rollins Segment.
Am I the only person who thinks of the song Why Can't We Be Friends, when it comes to Seth Rollins, and. The Street Profits?
Rey Mysterio Segment.
Rey Mysterio vs Penta at a later date, oh go then WWE if you shall insist. This would make sense.
Roxanne Perez And Raquel Rodriguez vs Bayley And Lyra Valkyria.
I struggled to connect with this Match, yes it did have some good moments. From Liv Morgan getting thrownout. Corey Graves saying that he hates fake sport. ( oooh the irony ) And Bayley getting the win, thanks to Dom and has AAA belt.
LA Knight Segment.
I've got to say it. I've missed LA Knight. He said that next week The King And Queen Of The Ring Tournaments will be getting underway on Monday Night Raw, and he plans on entering, and when he wins, he's coming for Roman. This brought out big Jim Uso. This segment was excellent, as both mens promo dual got straight to the point, as they talked about Loyalty, and family manipulation. I liked this.
Adam Pearce And Rey Mysterio segment.
Adam Pearce was backstage talking to AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio, and i'm starting to really get the feeling that Adam Pearce is starting to become WWE's answer to Rodney Dangerfield, because he gets no respect, because Ethan Page, and Rusev started to annoy him. Rusev would meet Rey later in the show.
Seth Rollins vs Montez Ford.
This was decent. This examplified just what great chemistry Seth and Montez have, and i'm suprised that this Match hasn't happened before. Seth got the win, and this was when Angelo Dawkins got battered with a steelchair by Austin Theory. Seth showed his concern with Montez backstage afterwards.
Rey Mysterio vs Rusev.
This was decent. When these type of Matches happen, I do find the big vs small dynamic quite interesting, and this was no different. Rey's counteracting of Rusevs moveset needs to be studied, and the fact that Rusev tried to no sell moments, just made me laugh. Rey got the win, and Ethan Page who was on commentary, sounded angry, yet overjoyed.
Becky Lynch Wants More Of Sol Ruca.
Becky Lynch wants even more of Sol Ruca, so guess what, if you ask you shall receive. Clash In Italy is going to be interesting when Becky loses.
Roman Reigns And Jacob Fatu Segment.
I loved this. With 11 minutes left of the broadcast, this contract signing for there Match at Clash In Italy was given time to breathe, after Jacob threwout the furniture, and Roman ordered Adam Pearce, and the security to leave. What came next was a fantastic promo dual tour de force, that never let up until both men shook hands at the end. This dealt with the same themes from LA Knights, and Jimmy Uso's promo dual that happened an hour beforehand, with that minor gripe to one side, this was a great segment to end the show. I understand that some fans have called out some of the plot holes in this story, but considering the fact that I take things segment by segment, you can easily give WWE the benefit of the doubt, and put things right. This is just my opinion.
Overview Of WWE Monday Night Raw.
This weeks WWE Monday Night Raw felt like a real retutn to form, and given the fact that I don't think this will last, it did it's job to get me excited for the PLE on Sunday.
