AEW Dynamite Review 4.12.2025

Samoa Joe And Eddie Kingston Segment.

I loved this segment. So all I will say is this. This was no notes perfect to me. Next week at Winter Is Coming is going to be awesome.

Pac vs Kazuchika Okada Continental Classic.

This was a lofi quality Match, that delivered on all counts. Both men showed that they've got excellent chemistry, and this gave birth for the story to be told. I thought this was glorious, and a good way to kick start the show. Okada got the win by roll up.

Mark Briscoe Segment.

I love Mark Briscoe. He will face Daniel Garcia when AEW Visits Cardiff in just over to quote 9 days.

Ricochet Segment.

Ricochet Has been one of AEW's unsung heros this year, from wanting to murder people with scissors, to being a menace to The Hurt Syndicate. I love this guy.

Kyle Fletcher vs Kevin Knight Continental Classic.

So far the Continental Classic has over delivered. This Match is the perfect example of this. Both men kicked out of Liger Bombs, coast to coasts, and. Brainbusters, as they laid everything out bare, just so they could create magic. Kyle got the win, and in the aftermath Kyle, and. Don Callis cut promos, but due to the ad break, we didn't get to hear what Kyle said, because this was centred around Don and what he thought of The Young Bucks. Complete with references to puberty. The Bucks came out and attacked the family. Kazuchika Okada gave Matt Jackson a rainmaker, and this was when Jurassic Express made the save. Don grabbed hold of Matt Jackson and tried to gauge his eyes out, that was until Kenny Omega helped out his Elite family. Be still my wayward heart.

Mercedes Mone Segment.

Mercedes will get another belt at ROH Final Battle this Friday. I don't think that many fans care if i'm honest.

Hardcore Holiday Deathmatch AEW Womens Tag Team Tournament Semi-finals. Megan Bayne And Marina Shafir vs The Timeless Lovebombs.

I loved this. If you want to have fun at 10am in the morning, then just stick this Match on. From humerous weapon spots that had me howling. Toni and Mina having awesome dance moves on entrance, to the return of Santa Lufer claus. This was great, and a lot of fun. Timeless Lovebombs got the win, and will now face The Babes Of Wrath to become the first ever AEW Womens Tag Team Champions next week.

Dark Order vs The Opps AEW Trios Championship.

I didn't like this It felt flat, and extremely boring. But it's great to see Jon Silver back on Dynamite. You love to see it. The Opps retained. Hangman Adam Page then called Hook and Shibata for a Match next week, and he will have a mystery partner.

Okada vs Takeshita.

This Match has legs, and I think we could get the second one at All In next year. I need this Match in my life.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Jon Moxley Continental Classic.

For my money this is the best that the Continental Classic Match so far in the tournament. It was a bloodsoaked masterstroke in storytelling. I've said this before that the downfall of Jon Moxley from the deathriders is the best thing that AEW has going for it at the moment, and this Match furthered my point. Claudio got the win, as this Match was heading to be a time limit draw. This was excellent.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This is one of the best episodes of Dynamite this year in my opinion, as the continental Classic continues to grow. This weeks AEW Dynamite is a must watch.

My Top 5 WWE Survivor Series Moments.

Intro.

What are the best moments in WWE Survivor Series history, this was a question that ran through my mind. I have my favourites, and I have those that make me think, well that was a thing wasn't it. This is a fun list that delves into the world of Survivor Series.

5. The Montreal Screwjob.

Ok I have to get this one out of the way first, because multiple writers over the years have dined out on this for nearly 30 years. It was a seismic moment in Pro Wrestling history, and a matter that is very well documented. Bret and Shawns relationship these days seems to be better, but back in 1997, it was a different world.

4. Kurt Angle Fools The Undertaker.

The WWF Championship Match at the year 2000 event was funny. Have you ever seen 2 Kurt Angles, well if you stayed up in here in the UK, your eyes weren't weary at 2am, because you most definately saw 2 lookalikes of Kurt Angle. The Match wasn't up to much, but this did make me laugh.

3. Stone Cold Steve Austin Gets Run Over.

Survivor Series 1999 was the end of a good run for Stone Cold Steve Austin, he had completely burnt himself out, and needed time off to go and get neck surgery. The angle in which he was ran over, would then get used as the golden example in how to do a Pro Wrestling who done it. I remember watching this at the time, and going into school the day after, and this was all anyone could talk about.

2. Ric Flair vs HHH Have A Bloodbath.

This would signal the end of two eras in my opinion. The first one was HHH's reign of terror, and the second one was the Evolution era, both weren't very profitable for the company when you look at the TV ratings during this time period. The Match was an all out war, that came with heavy blade jobs, after what we got at Taboo Tuesday, which took place just three weeks before this show.

1. The Return Of Cm Punk.

After the events of real glass gate from AEW's UK debut at Wembley Stadium. Cm Punk was let go by Tony Khan, after he had an altercation with Jack Perry. This would start the speculation of could Punk return to the company that he walked out on in 2014. So at the end of the mens Wargames Match in 2023, he returned. He walked out to a sold out All State arena in Chicago, to the uproar of an excited crowd, who were eager to see there hero all night. This was the architectual blue print for how to build excitement.

 

My Top 5 Thoughts From Monday Night Raw.

5. Wade And Joe In With The Fans.

This was irresponsible. WWE has come under fire in recent months for fan interactions, and how fans handle themselves. I thought this was a bit in bad taste. I know I can't talk for everyone, and this is just my opinion, but really.

4. Jey Uso vs LA Knight John Cena Last Time Semi-Final.

I liked this. The Match storyline was mainly centred around how these two have interracted over the past few months. The physicality was great, and this allowed for their chemistry to shine. Knight got the win, and then jey lost his temper, and all I had to say about this was. 4 letters one word. Baby.

3. The Judgement Day Are Reunited And It Feels So Good.

I loved this. I think this was a good night for the Judgement Day. Dom turned up in his real dads old renta car, and then later in the evening he welcomed back his kayfabe lover Liv Morgan. He insulted John Cena, whilst reminding me that he's the greatest Luchador of all time. I loved this. Just look at it this way. When Dom debuted in the Judgement Day I couldn't stand him, but now he's one of my favourite things on WWE TV, so that says one thing. Anything can happen in the space of three years.

2. Natalya Is An Army Colonel.

Natalya acted like the Colonel from Stanley Kubricks Full Metal Jacket. Maxxine Dupri is going to snap at some point.

1 Gunther vs Solo Sikoa John Cena Last Time Is Now Tournament.

I think that Gunther has to be in with a shout, when all the best lists come out for the end of this year. His Matches have always gone from good to excellent. For a TV Match, this was something special, and it over delivered. Gunther will meet LA Knight on Friday Smackdown in the final. 

Top 5 WWE Survivor Series Debuts.

Intro.

In the years since Survivor Series debuted it has became known for its multi-man Matches, and it's debuts. The second one is what were going to looking at today, given the fact that at the time of writing Survivor Series Wargames has just wrapped. I  thought taking a trip down memoery lane is in order.

5. Blue Chipper Survivor Series.

Appearing on team Babyface as I call them led by Marc Mero.  The team also featured Jake The Snake Roberts, and The Stalker. ( 1996 Fed was a real thing ) Blue Chipper as Jim Ross called on Commentary was better known as Rocky Maivia, who's better known as The Rock, during his debut, you could tell that he was green as hell, and that's not a bad thing because the established stars protected him, and he could learn from their roles.

4. The Undertaker Survivor Series.

If you could take a trip back to 1990, and remember anything from this event, then it's the debut of The Deadman, being part of Ted Biase's millionaire team. He would go on to have a steller career from a fan aspect, and from the view of longevity, has actually stood up well.

3. Kurt Angle Survivor Series 1999.

I call this his actual debut, because when you take in just what was going to come throughout the following year.Kurts debut against Shawn Stasiak, might've been a dud from the look of Match quality, when you look at how long term plans were going to play out, then this worked.

2. Scott Steiner Survivor Series 2002.

Take your mind back to November 2002. WCW had been out of business for nearly 20 months, and some of the external contracts from Time Warner had, or were coming to an end, and the contracts that the WWE wanted to bring over, had been moved to the company. Scott was one of the last names to be brought over. His time in the company would be met with contention, and an overall bad feeling, mainly because quite a few of this Matches stalled in quality.

1. Sting SAurvivor Series 2014

It's Stiiiiiiiiiiiiing. But without his soul. Look I love the man known as sting, however his debut at the 2014 Survivor Series, did signal the end of the WCW brand 13 years after it's official end. The Wrestlemania 31 Match against HHH was a waste of time, and a classic example of a pissing contest.

 WWE Survivor Series 2025 Review 30.11.2025.

Intro.

It's Winter. It's freezing outside, and last night, I stayed up to watch this years WWE Survivor Series Wargames, and as I got into the show. I started to think, as I shoved more steak and Pepper Seabrook crisps down my throat, was this. Does this Match stipulation need to be removed, or tweaked? This is a question that isn't going to go away, and i'll get into this a bit later on, because to me, last night felt like a look at were WWE is heading, without telling you anything at all. Basically this felt like Pro Wrestlings answer to an episode of Seinfield, because this was a PLE about nothing. ( well kind of )

Superstars Seen Showing Up To Work.

All the ladies from the womens Wargames Match showed, and. Dirty Dom followed shortly after.

Womens Wargames Match.

If I had to pick from both Wargames Matches this one would win, by head and shoulders. Team Babyface of. Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, and. Charlotte Flair, beat. The Kabuki Warriors. Nia Jax. Lash Legend, and Becky Lynch. What we got here was a clever look at were the womens division stands at this moment, and the fascinating steps that they could be taking, when heading into the road to Wrestlemania season. This Match was a blast, and even though it did lag, lasting over 50 minutes. I didn't feel the length drag on me. The spots were laid bare. Nia and Lash, chucking Iyo into her team. Rhea coming out dressed up like 1995 Undertaker with that face mask, and the Matches within the Match leading the way when it came to telling the story, this gave way for other spots to breathe, as the anarchy reached it's final stand, when AJ got thev win for her team by submitting Becky. On Friday it was reported by multiple sources, that the end of the mens wargames Match would echo into how Mania gets booked. I think that this is true when you look at the Ladies Match, whilst the mens left me with more questions, than it did answers.

John Cena vs Dirty Dom Mysterio WWE Intercontinental Championship.

This was a shenanigans filled fun ride, but as I watched this. I couldn't help but that this is John Cena's last PLE Match. I get why some fans don't like John, but I do feel, that his passion is palpable, and it shines brightest on these stages. This is going to be missed when he steps away. So if you're a Cena fan, then drink  in as much of this as you can, because when he's gone, he's gone. The Match  fell into parody for me, from real injuries, to Johns Career. I had fun watching this, as I felt that the match delivered on having a fun element. From Raquel, and. Roxanne beating up John, whilst Dom sold a fake injury, that played on real life from this weeks Monday Night Raw. This gave time for a returning Liv Morgan to come out, and play her part in a double cross, that was a bit predictable when looking back, this allowed Dom to get the win, and his belt back. I liked this.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Nikki Bella.

I'm going to honest. I haven't been a big fan of Nikki Bella's heel run. It hasn't hit the ceiling that it should, and this Match acted as the embodyment of this fact. It felt like a TV Match taking place on a PLE. None of this worked, and it felt like a waste of time. Stephanie retained after hitting Nikki with her Cork Screw finisher. This was the lowest point on the card.

The New Day Shameless Promotion.

This whole broadcast was full of shameless promotion, but this was the worst. WWE card, or phone games, just aren't for me.

Attendence Announced.

WWE then announced that they managed to pull in 46.000 in the stadium in San Diego. Yeah I smell bs aswell.

Mens Wargames Match.

This is were I differ with the mens Match. It was aimed to get to night 2 of Mania, whilst others that were involved, have question marks over there heads, case and point. Cody and Punks fallout has started to creep up, as the promise of one of them turning heel is imminent, and with the added drama of Roman Reigns looks promising. The Matches within the Match, acted like an uninspiring movie trailer. The Match felt directionless, and the spots felt forced. As the Match went on. I was left with this question going around my head. Am I going to get excited to see Brock Lesnar vs Bron Breakker or Logan Paul vs Cm Punk, well if i'm honest, no, because I can't see WWE pulling the trigger on their builds, to the point that I get excited, but given what I think of Brock these days, that would be a tall order.  This Match ended  like a piece of bad creative that stank of the old guard with that masked hood. This  was a reminder of when you like the build, and how it dosen't always meet your expectations. Team heel of The Vision. Logan Paul. Brock Lesnar, and. Drew Mcintyre, beat team Babyface. Of The Uso's. Roman Reigns. Cm Punk, and. Cody Rhodes. The next few months are going to be interesting, in the ways that WWE navigate there main event picture. If this was a school report card, it would read, so what's next.

Overview Of WWE Survivor Series Wargames 2025.

Overall I thought this was a fine show, that has left me with more questions than it has answers, and if i'm being honest. All this PLE did was examine just how divided HHH has become when it come to booking his shows.

This Years Survivor Series Wargames 2025 is a middle of the road 7/10.

Top 5 Times WWE Superstars Did Nice Things For Fans.

Intro.

You know that old saying of you never want to meet your heroes, because you may not like the person that you meet. This statement isn't true when it comes to this group of WWE Superstars, this is a collection of some of the nicest moments when WWE Superstars were nice to fans.

5. Bayleys Biggest Fan.

This came in 2015, when Bayley was in NXT, she was on her way out to the ring, and out of nowhere she hugged a young fan, and that young fan is no a stand out on the independent scene, so guys if you treat people right, it can make a real impact on someones life.

4. WWE's Superstars Treatment Of The Ultimate Warriors Kids.

The WWE did a great job covering up the later years of one James Hellwig, due to his actions outside of the ring, but after he passed away in April of 2014 the WWE opened up it arms to his family. Seeing his two daughters hang out with Paige. Natalya, and. Roman Reigns this was a sight that should be spoken about, because inflictions of negativity shouldn't be passed down to the kids.

3. Scott Hall On Jerry Springer.

This was a corner stone in the 1990's when the stigma around aids, and HIV was at a all time high. He met with two kids who have the desease, and he gave them some uplifting, helpful advice, and then gave them his Intercontinental Championship. It's been said that Scott was scared of the repocussions for doing this, but he left with ease after Vince said that he did the right thing, and there would be a new belt waiting for him at the next show.

2. Daniel Bryan Meets Conor The Crusher.

This is a poignant reminder to hold those you love near to you. In 2012 Daniel Bryan met Conor for the first time at  that years Summerslam, this would be a relationship that would come to an end at the end of WrestleMania 30, because as the image of Bryan holding Conor would be partnered with ending his own story coming to an end. Just days after this photo was taken. Conor sadly passed away.

1. John Cena Visits A Fan With Down Syndrome Who Vacated The Ukraine With his Family.

I watched this back recently as research for this list. It's touching very emotional, and a reminder that your dreams can come true, even in the hardest of times. This is just the thing that I have said before. You do not have to like John, but you do have respect his ability to come down to fans level, and make their day better, no matter what they're going through.

Kyle Fletcher vs Kazuchika Okada Continental Classic.

The Continental Classic is back, and if it keeps giving us fans bangers like this, then it can stay. This Match was a superb, look at how perfect booking can provide great entertainment. Kyle Fletcher got the win. Is Okadas reign starting to slip?

Kenny Omega Segment.

Carry on my wayward heart. It looks like The Elite are back together, and I can't be happier.

AEW Womens Tag Team Tornament Babes Of Wrath vs Sisters Of Sin.

This wasn't for me. I just couldn't connect with this Match. Babes got the win. Please bare in mind i'm writing this with a heavy cold.

Mark Briscoe Segment.

This was caught after his Championship win on Saturday. I liked this. It was no notes perfect.

The Opps Celebration.

This is what I want from My Heel Champion. Samoa Joe came out, and before he could get a word out, he was interrupted by Swerve Strickland, who was dropped off by Prince Nana, and Hangman Adam Page then joined him. Joe ordered Shibata to go and get the scrubs, aka the security, as he laid into the fans. He brought out Hook, and even he got cut off, by an emerging Swerve Strickland, and. Hangman Adam Page. The security came to meet them, and the fight in the fans was excellent. The segment ended with Swerve and Hangman trying to murder people by choking them over the ring ropes. I loved this.

Continental Classic Jon Moxley vs Mascara Dorada.

I loved this. I get that some fans might not have liked this, but when you take a look at this in isolation, this needed to happen. Jon's downfall is by far the best thing in AEW at the moment, so having him win here is the best choice, because you need to rise him up, so he can be taken back down. This is what you call perfect booking. Jon got the win, but what came after felt like a nice fever dream. Timeless Toni Storm walked to the ring, and cut a promo on Jon Moxley and. Marina Shafir, and she was at her funny best. This led to announcement of The Timeless Lovebombs vs Marina Shafir, and Megan Bayne in a Hardcore Holiday DeathMatch. Don't ever change Toni.

Kris Statlander Segment.

Where's Kris Statlander heading. I think she's heading into another Galaxy in quick speed.

Continental Classic Kevin Knight vs Darby Allin.

This was another banger of a Match, that left me feeling suprised. I'm a fan of both men, so watching  this Match was fascinating. These two have great chemistry, and it made for awesome viewing. Knight got the win. I loved this.

Continental Classic Claudio Castagnoli vs Orange Cassidy.

So far the Continental Classic has delivered on this broadcast, and this main event was no different. The near falls were put in order to percision, and performed with ease, as this allowed for the story to be told. Claudio got the win. And in the aftermath The Deathriders deatdown Orange Cassidy.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This weeks Dynamite was a solid outing that was focussed around the tournament concept. The Matches delivered, and remained solid throughout.

 My Top 5 Favourite UFC Fights With The Biggest Rewatch Value.

Intro.

As I sat down to create this list. I was caught thinking in my own brain. What are biggest UFC Fights with the biggest re-watch value. I had fun going back and rewatching these fights for this list, and I was reminded just how great these fights are, even if some are 18 years old.

5. Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlai Silva UFC 79.

All this fight needed was three rounds, and it was magic. Both men have had interesting times after this. From Wanderlai losing to Keith Jardine, and Chuck getting knocked out by Rashad Evans. I have gone back to this fight on a number of occassions, and it never gets old. This was a complete war of nutrition, and it's fascinating look at were both men were at the time in their careers.

4. Diego Sanchez vs Clay Guida Ultimate Fighter Season 9 Team UK vs Team USA.

This fight was a blistering assault to the senses, both men were trying to climb up the ladder to the lightweight Championship, and when you add that fact in with their movesets being a Match made in heaven, then you get one hell of a three round war. Both mens speed, and overall delivery made for an excellent outing that I have rewatched many times over the years.

3. Michael Bisping vs Dan Henderson UFC 100.

I've rewatched this fight, because it's the one that I love to hate, because Michael Bisping was the fighterthat everyone loved to hate. Over season 9 of the Ultimate Fighter Michael would act like the devil on Dan Hendersons shoulder, and it was all building to one thing at UFC 100,  the creation of the Chris Tucker meme from Friday. Michael got knocked the f out.

2. Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen UFC 148.

The American Gangster was known to wind up opponents, and it was great. The build was awesome, and it bled into how the way that the fight would go. Anderson proved during this fight, why he was the greatest at the time.

1. Israel Adesanya vs Kelvin Gastlelum UFC 236.

Even though some fans think that the UFC Hall Of Fame is just rented out space in Dana Whites head, this fight has earned the right to be inducted. It was a battle that was forged with both men showing the will to die in the cage. I've watched this fight multiple times, and it's something that always go back to. The struggle was never seen, because on this night, both men created magic.

My Top 5 Insights From Monday Night Raw. 25.11.2025.

5. Romans Reigns Opening Segment.

I liked this. Roman Kicked off the show, and straight after he got everyone in Oklahoma to acknowledge him, he was interrupted by Cody Rhodes. The pair went down the route of layering this promo with mistrust, whilst the image of their history played in my head. This was when Cm Punk came out, and this simple dual was turned into a threeway, and it was awesome. The promise of how mania is starting to shape up, is starting to look good.

4. Gunther vs Carmelo Hayes John Cena Last Time Is Now Tournament.

I'm going to say it. Gunther is in my top 5 WWE Wrestlers of the year, and this is proof of why. His Match against Carmelo was simply excellent. He will now advance to the semi-final next week, when he will face Solo Sikoa, this came about after Penta got injured during their Match. Ok now push Carmelo Hayes.

3. Dirty Dom Segment.

Who's booking this show, because this smelled of He Who Shall Not Be Named, I mean really. Making fun of Little people isn't funny, and it screamed bad creative. It was unfunny back in 1997 when DX insulted Bret Hart, and fast forward 28 years into the future, and it's still not funny. Do better WWE.

2. Becky Lynch Leading Her Troops To Waaaaaaaaaaaaargames. 

I liked this. I think that WWE are building to Becky vs AJ Lee at a later date, and I have to like this development. The way that she praised her team whilst giving them back handed insults had me laughing, however her dual with AJ, once team Babyface came out, did feel a bit forced, but watching Nia Jax take a microphone to the head courtesy of Rhea Ripley, was a nice touch.

1. Brock Lesnar Fell Over.

This came after Logan paul got the win for him and Drew Mcintyre in the Survivor Series Waaaaaaaaaaaaaargames Advantage Match against The Usos. Team Babyface lead by Cm Punk. Cody Rhodes, and. Roman Reigns. came out to partake in some shenanigans, and then it happened. Brock Lesnar came out, and as he was making his entrance, he fell over, and it was, excuse my language, it was f****** hilarious. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person. This is what happens when you get mentioned 44 times in a sex trafficking lawsuit. Karma people, pure karma.

 AEW Full Gear 2025 Review.

CMLL World Trios Championship The Don Callis Family vs El Sky.

This Match bled over from  the Tail;gate Brawl, and it was magnificent. Even though I didn't catch this from the start. I had to go back and give this a go from the start. Both teams had great chemistry as the layered physicality became the backbone for the rest of the evening. El Sky got the win, and. Don Callis has got his work cut out for him.

Darby Allin vs Pac.

From Darby's Horror burns intro, that reminded me of the fact that Darby is AEW's answer to Jason Vorhees, because he can't be killed. This Match was loosely based on his encounter with MJF, in the fact that it was shaped like a standard  wrestling Match. Darby took some serious back bumps, that made me wince, alongside the moments when Pac attacked Darby's burns. It was clear to me that Pac had taken influence from of my favourite bands, he cannot kill what he did not create, except if he cheated that is. Pac gave Darby a shot with his dads bat for the win. I liked this, because it did the job, to set up what was going to happen later on in the evening.

Womens Tag Team Tournament 4 Way Stipulation Chooser.

The Timeless Lovebombs, beat. Marina Shafir, and Megan Bayne. The Babes Of Wrath, and. The Sisters Of Sin, in what was a flat TV Match, that happened to take place on a PPV. I couldn't connect with this Match.

Brodido vs FTR.

I liked this. Overall it was a lowfi burner that turned into a gratifying experience that went through the motions, but once the final stages got into gear, this brought home the fact that the chemistry took a while to get moving. The near falls were placed into the story of the Match with ease, as the Match crocshendo gave FTR the chance to Hit Brodido with a Shatter Machine for the win. FTR are heel Champions, and i've got admit, that I like this development.

AEW National Championship Casino Gauntlet Match.

I couldn't connect with this Match. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good Gauntlet Match, when done right, but this one just didn't hit for me. Ricochet got the win, and I think that this was the right move, he's now the first ever AEW National Championship.

Jon Moxley vs Kyle O'reilly No Holds Barred.

This was a slow cathartic look at how to create a blood stained masterpiece, that was a nasty, viscerile, violent, mayhemic ride. My favourite thing about AEW at the moment is Jon's Moxleys slow demise from The Deathriders, and this was a perfect aid to help push this storyline along nicely. Kyle beat Jon, and i'm very excited to see where this goes next.

Mark Briscoe vs Kyle Fletcher TNT Championship.

I had two Matches of the Night, and this was one of them. Both men had fantastic chemistry, and this acted as a breath of fresh air. The Matches hardcore spots made sense, and took me back to 2010 CZW. The mental game of chess that played out here was awesome, as the painful reminder of lost family played out. Mark got the win as the final stages echoed from pure insanity. On a serious note. Marks Brother who sadly lost his life in a car accident in January 2023, was looking down on him smiling. Well done to one of dem boys.
